My wife and I heard this on the radio on the night we got engaged, and she got the band to play it at our wedding. I was going to play it for her on out 20 year wedding anniversary, but she died in hospital about a month before that came. Two years to the day since she passed away. I miss you Sharri.

For those who never heard...I read years ago that Shania, the oldest sibling in her family, was suddenly left alone with several younger brothers and sisters. Both of her parents had past away in a car accident. She was already on track for a music career, but she set it aside to take care of her siblings until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Only then did she pursue her dream. And just look at her now!

I love this song! It really touches my heart! This is not something I’m proud of, but it’s my story. After several wonderful years of marriage, my husband & I both went down the wrong path. A Canadian 🇨🇦music legend who her worked her way out of childhood poverty raising two younger siblings at the age of 18, after the tragic accidental death of both parents. She supported them by singing in local resorts and hotels in Ontario before getting her big commercial break in her late twenties. She’s still one of my favorite country vocalists and I saw her in her first big international tour in Montreal back in the 1990’s. Fantastic show, great singer, beautiful woman inside and out and humble at heart. This is probably my favorite ballad of hers, such a pretty melody and lyrics, and not easy to sing well.

My wife and I heard this on the radio on the night we got engaged, and she got the band to play it at our wedding. I was going to play it for her on out 20 year wedding anniversary, but she died in hospital about a month before that came. Two years to the day since she passed away. I miss you Sharri.

For those who never heard...I read years ago that Shania, the oldest sibling in her family, was suddenly left alone with several younger brothers and sisters. Both of her parents had past away in a car accident. She was already on track for a music career, but she set it aside to take care of her siblings until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Only then did she pursue her dream. A Canadian 🇨🇦music legend who her worked her way out of childhood poverty raising two younger siblings at the age of 18, after the tragic accidental death of both parents. She supported them by singing in local resorts and hotels in Ontario before getting her big commercial break in her late twenties. She’s still one of my favorite country vocalists and I saw her in her first big international tour in Montreal back in the 1990’s. Fantastic show, great singer, beautiful woman inside and out and humble at heart. This is probably my favorite ballad of hers, such a pretty melody and lyrics, and not easy to sing well.
