The Oddsockeaters are small creatures that live among us humans and are responsible for the fact that from every pair of socks, only one - the odd one - remains for humanity. They feed on socks! The destinies of the main protagonists of the Lichožrouts and their greatest adversary, the peculiar and abandoned PROFESSOR, are intertwined with the story of the main hero, a little Lichožrout named HIHLÍK, who encounters great adventures in the film. His grandfather LAMOR, who raised him, has passed away, and HIHLÍK must overcome his fear, climb out of the window, and set off to find his uncle PADR, whom he had no idea about until now. He draws his courage from what his grandfather instilled in him - love for family, good upbringing, and the "Ten Commandments of Lichožrouts." Even in his new thieving home with his mafia uncle and two crafty cousins, he doesn't abandon his ideals and principles, even though they lead him into dangerous situations. When, in the end, with a heavy heart, he breaks two fundamental rules of Lichožrouts - 'Never take the whole pair' and 'Stick to humans, but stay away from them' - it's only because he believes he has exhausted all possibilities to reach his longed-for goal - family.
