  • I like the part where you used the lathe to sharpen your pencil.

  • I learned about this channel from Adam Savage at Tested. Im really happy he shouted you out. I learned quite a bit just from this one video. Thank you.

  • You're one of the few channels that I never delay watching when I get the notification. Don't ever feel like you need to do more. The anticipation sells it. Brilliant work, as always. Thanks!

  • Using a lathe as a pencil sharpener must be the most extreme overuse ever

    • I watched this with my wife nearby and exclaimed "He's using a lathe to sharpen a pencil!?". My wife, who knows almost nothing about machinery, said "that's seems extreme." 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • I think machining a groove at the end of the knurling to remove the chip and clean up the end would have worked well to remove the unsightly transition.

    @dfgaJK@dfgaJK6 ай бұрын
    • Yeah, I thought similar. I guess if you were doing the job a second time, you might even consider machining the chamfer after doing the knurling/shaping operation to avoid that unsightly transition situation altogether.

  • Fabulous work, although I'm sure someone will point out that you should have used aluminium or bronze, because brass will affect the tone...

  • There’s an electronics company here in the States called Phenix. They’re located in Accident Maryland. We have a couple of pieces of their equipment in our shop. All the adjustment knobs go up to 11 and I haven’t been able to talk to anybody at the company who has heard of the movie. At this point I’m wondering if it was a joke with the founders and has been lost over time.

  • Very nice? May I ask - since the base material was reasonably soft, why not use a compression knurler?

  • I must say, this is unspeakably beautiful. But you really should have included the unnecessary umlauts on the o and u, to make it properly heavy metal.

  • I've been trying to resin 3D print a custom guitar knob, but i can never get the colors correct. The knob isn't white enough, and whenever i paint the embossed text, i end up messaging up the knob... I wish i could commission someone smart like you for this knob...
