$370,000 in 2016 equates to $464,000 in 2023 which means this thing didn’t just depreciated $170,000, it actually depreciated over a quarter of a million dollars accounting for inflation. Wild
any car will depreciate.... depending on miles trims etc. and it did not depreciate its called inflation and actually these things still can retail for FULL MSRP
@@sagsrp3804true that all cars depreciate, but some not as much due to reliability, and demand.
I’m thankful it depreciated. Soon it’ll be 60k and I can buy one for me and my parents
@@hassyg4083 i'll just treat it like it's precious. ill maybe get a caddy on the side
@@sagsrp3804 except classic cars just soaring the prices as the years went by. Like Ferrari 250 GTO, Bugatti type 51, Jaguar XKSS, Dussenbergs, the lot. Some modern supercars that run in limited numbers also gain the price up like Porsche 918.
I really love how you talk so quiet and calm in these luxury cars. Its so relaxing and refreshing from other peoples content where everybody screams at you like your some kind of deaf person.
100%!!! Stradman is one that completely irks me with his fake over the top enthusiasm. Can’t stand watching stuff like that.
Well you can just whisper in a Roll Royce you can’t do that in a Nissan Versa
As some kind of deaf person i agree
3 things: 1. Indeed, the insulation is phenomenal. It's like a library inside. 2. The suspension adds to that experience. Especially in the Phantom, there's no other car on the road even CLOSE to having as smooth a ride. 3. Random, but the A/C and Heat are both insanely quick. Hopping into your RR on a hot summer day and you feel the heat escape when the door opens? No problem, blast that A/C and the entire cabin is frigid in 1-2 mins MAX. RR is truly the comfort KING!
@@hassyg4083 As someone with experience driving both... a resounding "No."
@@hassyg4083 try harder bro. Lol.
@@hassyg4083not comparable lol, and even if you wanted to compare it with Japan it has no direct competition
@@hassyg4083 I was thinking the G60 Century would be comparable with tech and interior feel but I think it's still a very much chauffeur driven car so may not be as rewarding/engaging to drive as this
The back seat of the Wraith is too small for bigger passengers. Especially if they expect RR comfort. The Dawn is much roomier in the back.
The POV driving was just pure relaxation to me. I am not physically in the car but I felt soothed!
Agreed
Two things I'd like to do: 1) test drive a RR on my local potholes, and finally see whether there is a way to make them disappear (and then dream of owning one!) 2) compare this with a Bentley, and see where we stand now in terms of comfort and quality, after so many years after the 'divorce'. P.s. that deer story just absolutely broke my heart and had me in utter shock man....
Bentley continental probably has 80 or even 90% of quality and ride quality of wraith, but cost almost 3 times less- 630k msrp vs 230k msrp.
Looks like there's a mouse (53 seconds) living in your $370k car.
Is there any electronic thing that can be put on cars to drive them away?
LMAOOO RIGHT
It's a chipmunk!
0:53, even that squirrel wants some of the luxury xD 1:10, he's gone from the other side, no little guys were harmed in the making of this video
I thought I was the only one who saw that lol. It looks like a chipmunk.
might be a chipmunk
Это была крыса. Ходит кушать эту фантастическую, элитную кожу в этой прекрасной машине.
I completely understand what you mean about the analogue dials. It's like making high end watches all digital. It's cool for some cars to have digital displays but not all. Rolls Royce is my absolute favourite brand of car and to me it represents the best a car can be. It's not all about drama and speed and I think comfort and silence while on the move is like no other driving experience.
This is a driver’s car contrary to the phantom.
The Ghost isn’t all too impressive of a drive either
Always loved the Wraith, it's a shame they stopped making them. That's a problem I'll never have to experience though
Never say never
Spectre is just an electric wraith
Gotta love a V12 startup with the door open!
Thank you sooo much for the Wraith POV!!! Definitely respecting the drive ❤
Rolls Royce + New England = The perfect combination!
0:54 Even the Rats love the Rolls.

I think the best review of roller as an idea was by James May "It doesn't let you drive like a hooligan, it says are you sure sir?"
These luxury car videos are always so relaxing to watch. Then I cut over to a video like the one on the Ariel Atom and it’s just purely exciting! Love the content! Always keeping it interesting.
Man, i got so relaxed just by watching this video. Great vid! Keep em coming!
This is real luxury not screens everywhere and all kind of electronics this is true luxury
What a soothing half an hour. Beautiful 1st video of yours to watch after coming back from a little vacation. The spec is gorgeous. I was never a big fan of wood in the interior until this year I think. It might be the fact that I'm growing old but the combo of plenty of wood with white leather topped off with a silver & navy paint job makes for one hella gorgeous spec. Looks magnificent with all the rain drops when ceramic coated. I also am sad you had to give it back because I definitely wouldn't mind some more videos of it while you drive to do your chores.
I’m of a similar mindset to you, but I think back to the wooden facia and trim that was pretty much the same in all up market vehicles, just available different shades. It was highly polished and mottled, which is in stark contrast to what they offer today. Clean, simple, and modern Scandinavian design, such as the trim on this Wraith.
Great review. There was a similarly specced Wraith at the Concours I just went to this past weekend.
LOVE the car! I came close to buying a 2006 Phantom earlier this year from a friend for about a third of the average selling price. I drove it for about a day and as much as I loved it the maintenance costs turned me off. The ride was just amazing it was big and I felt like I was maneuvering a truck because it was so big and you forget it's big especially when you drive a Jag XJ8. I love the suicide two doors on these. I had a Lincoln Conv back in the day with suicide doors and a 4dr T-bird with suicide doors. I always loved the configuration since. Even thought I live in Boston my Jag mechanic is out that way. I have driven the same streets and have passed the school you went to. I got a little lost.
I just watched my first video from you - You say just what we want to hear about the driving experience. Your manner is spot on, I'm already a fan and just subscribed.
My favorite parts of the Wraith are those carpets and the seats. Your feet just sink into those carpets, and of course, those seats are the most comfortable in the world. Blew my mind.
Certified deer moment! Love the Wraith!
Omg the two tone exterior on this goes hard
I drive a BMW 7 series from 2015 (full option, M-Sport package & Individual line) and even that car just feels soo smooth, very luxurious, spacious and sporty when in Sport mode. I can only imagine what an upgrade to a Rolls Royce would be.
I like the fact that he starts to talk quieter ince hes driving
That mouse/chipmunk thing coming out of the wall and into the electronics under the hood at 54seconds….. best check he doesn’t have a family in your Rolls Royce!
That F-150 riding your ass makes me nervous
I watched this with my bang & olufsen headphones and my god is this car quiet, amazing!
You can literally hear this is the quietest he’s ever had to talk in these videos
Finally a RR owner with good taste.
Can you make a Video where you just simply drive for like 30min (prefereably at night) on a highway without any commentary (not that i dont like it) Because that highway crusing was probably the most calming and relaxing thing I've ever experienced.
Worth every pillow and like always great review
Great review all around thanks man!
I had one of these for my getaway car in April. Unfortunately it was on gaudy massive wheels which made the ride noisy. It was 10 years old so it had tons of creaks, and needed to get the A/C recharged. It made for great wedding photos though!!
bullshit
Very satisfying car reviewing!!!
Lately I've come around on the appeal of luxury sedans. Used to be I only cared about performance. Now the idea of all that sound proofing and soft suspension with plenty of power still is just really nice. Also integrated umbrella.
Quality, reliability, comfort and the ability to get up and go when needed, in a vehicle whose design and style fits your requirements… that’s my definition of luxury
Check out Bentley mulsanne
The latest series 3 Ghost, Wraith etc. are now on bespoke Rolls-Royce chassis and will no longer be on 7-series platform
Stunning vehicle
I guess the power meter is a fancy vacuum gauge.
what is ratatouille doing under the car at 0:52 hahaahahha

Wow an updated version of the 1968 Ford Galaxy 500 fastback awesome
Kinda dream! Love it ted!
Your the best how you descibe this car , Thanks for the ride !
Your shed is adorable! 💜
I would love to own Rolls Royce one day since the way they make their cars really speaks to how I love things that spare no expense. I would never drive it in the city though for sure 🤣
Great review
The chipmunk ran under it, got high from it's pristine quality like a cat from catnip, and skedaddled out of there and back into the woods.
minus the 'out of left field' deer story, it went over those train tracks really well! Hahah!
Hey! love to see a rolls royce owner and driver in Mass!!!
Your videos are half review, half hanging out with you... Man that deer story is now engraved in my brain, thanks 🥲
Also, my gas station changes out the snow tires and all seasons for the local post office. They are fun cuz RHD.

You’ve got a real beauty there! Bet the neighbours in the little houses there must be green with envy!
Beautiful interior the exterior leaves a lot to desire
If anyone wants a low-cost version of this then the W205 Mercedes C-Class with the following options: air suspension and acoustic comfort package (the name of that extra sound insulation and double-pane window package can differ depending on market). The only thing missing from that car is the option for massage seats. Even better if you can snag one of the briefly available facelift cars from ~2019-2020...I guess some still available in 2021, at least in the US. IMO it's the world's best everyday car that offers supreme comfort and quiet, while also fun to drive. With the air suspension its softest mode really does approach Rolls-Royce-like 'waftiness' which separates the Merc from all the competition. And for the very first time I can recommend a Merc in this category for people who enjoy driving too: finally Mercedes doesn't offer horrible steering, in fact it's pretty good. Finally Mercedes doesn't have strange suspension setup, in fact it feels like an AMG-lite when you put the suspension in Sport or Sport+ mode! They've finally decided to make the car handle well, and IMO even though the car overall isn't as sporty as the BMW and Alfa they've actually made the handling perhaps even more cohesive and more pleasantly honed. So it's not as low-slung feeling, not quite as precise, nor as fast with its turn-in response, but overall to me it's better judged and overall more pleasant to drive fast...with the huge party trick of turning into a mini-Rolls at the press of a button! Seriously: go try a C300e with air suspension and acoustic package, I think you'll agree it's one of those automotive jackpots which happen along every once in a while. Especially now with the prices they go for slightly used! I prefer the W205 C-Class over the W213 E-Class just because of the feel and dimensions: IMO the E-Class doesn't really offer much over the C-Class. If you really absolutely need more space and are ready to then have a car that needs more space and is less handy in tight parking lots, on narrow roads, etc. then E-Class with the same options: air suspension and acoustic comfort package might make more sense. So in the US maybe go with that. Then you can also get massage seats which is a huge plus...it's fantastic on long journeys! My recommendation is the PHEV C300e as for the first time ever I'm ok with a 4-cylinder engine as it's so quiet it doesn't really matter...and modern snuffed-out AMG V8s almost sound the same as the 4-cyl when accelerating... There are the risks of PHEVs though of course, so make your own choice on the engine version. I just don't like the other engine options for the Merc: the non-hybrid 2.0 4-pots (C250 & C300) are fine I guess and maybe the smartest choice but most just won't want them, they want a bit more just because. The V6s are made to be annoyingly loud and they're IMO some of the worst sounding V6s I know...they annoy me actually. The C300e has astounding amounts of torque.
It's a very great video! Now I'm just curious is there any way to connect your Spotify in RR? I'm wondering if the convertible version is as quiet as the coupe one.
Only through Bluetooth audio. No apple car play. But it worked great
This car is so posh that it's rubbing off on Ted😂😂 "Mmmmyes I put my sweater in the back to keep the seat clean when I go for a run mmmyeess" 😂😂
Love the way you said boot and not trunk! 😂😂
😲This car is the definition of luxury😲
An old friend of mine illustrated the biggest problem, after the cost, of driving an expensive car… people treat you differently! He bought a Ferrari, and he didn’t like it, because people started treating him “differently.” Poor people no longer spoke to him, except sometimes about the car, and rich people thought he was a poser, because his was the “cheap” Ferrari!”
It's almost poetic - that seen you described of the policeman shooting the injured deer. Another great video, Tedward.
If you want a cheaper umbrella holder, the Skoda cars have them too.😀
Ya I got like two of those or something! No seriously, you can appreciate the engineering here. When I was a kid, working at a very busy full-service carwash, I would get into a RR just out of the blowers and start it to drive to down to one of the doors. I always had to double check to make sure it was running. Couldn't tell at all next to the blowers. RR always has had a reputation for SMOooooth.... If I were to fall asleep driving, ah ya...
Nice visual on the deer story as I ate my lunch, just now.
You have the cutest house. So lovely
Hey tedward could you possibly do a video on the aventador sv?! That’s my dream supercar 🥰🥰 love the videos Man ur living my childhood dream basically lol
You can get a 30pin to lightning with a pigtail so you can plug phone in with a case. Bigger question is whether there will be 30 pin to USB-C now that new iPhones are USB-C.
I love Rolls Royce and Bentley they are so beautiful and luxurious 🤩. I hope 1 day i can drive one, people don't get that these cars are for cruise not to put speed on it. Just for comfort.
someone forgot to edit out the "forgetting the heads-up display" lol. great vid lovely vehicle

Just a casual conversation about Bambi becoming a was at 7 in the morning
when i think of insulated rides I always think of the old 80s Cadillacs and Buicks that felt like driving in a floating couch. Ride quality was awesome but it was like driving a boat. Is this like floating couch that drives like a 7 series?
howcome the raindrops are staying on like pearls straight out of ceramic, i had a slightly different experience
I always wanted a v12 7 series and this definitely shines too. I think the electric rolls will drive supremely due to the torque and availability of infinitely adjustable power delivery. It’ll be sad that there isn’t a v12 under there but the chauffeur probably won’t care.
Oooh a wraith 😍
Such a good looking car still!
Love the commentary, such as the ones about your high school years. What I kind of miss in this episode would be a kind of comparison to the Bentleys you've driven.
We must become the change we want to see.
Dream car
That is a cool car
This is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, as far as I'm concerned. Lovely spec on this one, too. A few mentions: at 10:48 you didn't need to go through the UI to close the screen cover. If memory serves me right, the big chrome button to the right of the radio presets opens/closes said cover. At 8:58 you forgot to mention that pressing the stalk inward allows you to scroll through the gauge cluster display (the small part of it that Rolls-Royce actually uses, at least).
I live right around these areas. Surprised I haven't seen you.
Great video, how do you tell what revs you're doing and God bless EVERYONE 🇮🇪...
Like fighting a fist fight in a tuxedo.. lol bro, that was a great way to describe spirited driving in car like this, you just dont need too.

You nailed it, gorgeous car, but it must be an absolute pain to daily drive this car if you aren't a gazillionaire with 40 chauffeurs. Appreciate the 760li recommendation given I'm not much of a car guy.
