In the first video Judy and I built the steel Portal frame. In this video we finish the structure to Lock Up stage. Fit out is next. This is will be our tiny house/ cabin for at least the time it takes us to build an actual house. We have all our Owner Builder approvals in place. As far as shed kits go, I am very happy with the everything despite having minor issues. The supplier was great. Total build time was around 18 solid days. Elapsed time was longer due to weather and life.
Shed colour Monument.
Size 8m x 6m with a 3m verandah.
Height 3.9m
Thanks for watching!
Regards Scott
A lost art.....Two people that are married working together. Great job.

Well done Judy. And the guy that helps out sometimes too, didn't catch his name

Is there a guy that helps out? All Judy from what I can see :) Love you guys ♥

Lol. "If it's not windy, it's stinking hot or it's raining." Yep. Been there.
Perfect weather now that it is built :)
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious Lol. Isn't that always the way?
Stellar result for two weeks work 👍👍
Great teamwork! Knowing why you’re building and who you’re building for. That extra helping hand really makes the difference.
Thank you! Having an offsider sure helps.
Judy is a winner! Stole the show
I know!
Good to see a bloke who knows his place.
I’m staring down the barrel of a crappy night shift here in the UK mate. Delighted to see an update for my break, takes the edge off slightly. Cheers!
So good to hear the video helps :) Done plenty of crappy night shifts myself (A while back now)
Loved it👍👍me and my wife always work together, and I love it
Great to hear Richard! Thank you!
You say “we are not professional builders, but we do what we can”. Man if that is not professional then what is! Keep the good work man. Excited to see how it turns out 👍🏻
Much appreciated Tom!
It is a great building milestone for you to be in the dry. Nice looking shed. Beautiful wife. Just a bit of advise. I let my wife use my tools and some space in my shop. Now I spend an unusual amount of effort rounding up my tools and cleaning up where she has been working.
Haha, well Judy is happy to leaves the workshop to me. Thanks David!
beautiful project well done both we are going to do the same in Thailand 2023-2024 thankyou for the ideas steve and nam thailand
Thanks Steve and Nam! All the best for your build.
Your wife is beautiful - I hope you appreciate her lots! Thanks for posting the vids

Looks fantastic. Great work you guys.
Thanks David! Glad the outside is done now. Inside next.
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious Cant wait... This has been a fantastic series so far... Health to enjoy it bud.
A “he” shed. And a “she” shed. What a fantastic idea. Again we’ll done to both of you. Hope your shoulder feels better soon Judy. Looking forward to the fitout inside.
Thank you Peter!
He shed, she said. Lol
I'm really looking forward to and ultimately dreading building something like this. The hardest part for me was getting together enough stand-alone power to live off-grid. Unless you have a spare $20k handy, nobody wants to talk to you about rural off-grid. If I lived in a metro area and wanted to do a feed-back-to-grid system then it'd be almost free, by comparison lol. I wish I had your rainfall lol. I run to town about every fortnight to haul water from the public bore, but you get used to it. Slowly getting enough roof-space for usefull run-off. Living in a tent teaches you a lot about tarps. Soon I'll have saved enough for a caravan and then I can get started on a pad and some hard panel annex for more roof and living space. The insulation will be welcome for winter too. My main issue (I think) for putting up a structure like this will be getting the main frames in place on my own. Lots of ropes and pulleys by the look of things. Might all get a bit ancient Egypt here for a bit. I'm loving the look of the place already and you haven't even begun the interior!
Thanks for your comment CB! Building by your self would be tough. Yes lots of cunning plans you must hatch. A caravan would be a good base. Off the ground and built in storage etc. We were really glad when we set up the water tanks. Before that we hauled the water in 20 l jerry cans. Getting your power is easier nowadays with DIY but still is an investment, particularly if you need high wattage for cooking etc. If you don't need high wattage you can build a much smaller, cheaper system I guess. Thanks again and all the best!
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious power was a real worry until I figured out that I could start with a cheap generator and some small stand-alone panel/battery sets. I then slowly expanded them until I had enough power for my 24/7 needs then a little extra. Rarely need the gennie now.
What a spot, a dream place. Nice work you two. Judy is a legend, what a worker, hats off to you! When my wife is helping me I always insist she wears hearing protection, gloves, steel caps and anything else to protect her depending on what we are doing, while I wear Aussie Steel Caps (Thongs)... Joking aside, its the only way to protect your love.
Well said C Waddy. Yes lovely place, thankyou!
Full. Support. This. Channel 👍👍👍
Thank you!!
Your first rodeo, love it 😍
Hi Guys, these videos are totally awesome. I can’t wait to see the inside, it’s fantastic. Steve
Thankyou Steven!
Great job Scott. If you don't have a vermin problem ignore this. make a skit under the bottom sheets to stop unwanted pest getting in the rib of the sheets. I live in South East QLD & we found out the hard way with the mice plagues .My place is sealed up now, no pests or snakes can get in the walls/roof.!
Thanks Kyle! We have a slab edge rebate for the sheets to sit on. 45mm below slab height. Should help.
Hope your shoulder gets better soon, Judy. We are here in Cardiff South Wales, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 it is great to see how different countries build homes. Looks fantastic, it will be great to see the finishing home 🏡
Thank you Lloyd! Judy's shoulder seems to have improved in the last few days. Yes the fit out will be interesting. At least it will be out of the sun.
Congrats Scott and Judy on another milestone in your journey. Pretty inspiring to watch your progress.
Much appreciated Delivered Concepts!
You make a great team. And you did good.
Thank you Drew!
Scott, i know you are skilled with your hands, but watching anyone work sheet metal without gloves gives me the heebie jeebies. Great build.
Thanks Dino. I like to feel the material and yes it teaches you to use your hands carefully.
Fantastic! Good teamwork!! Niek.
Thank you!
Where would you be without judy haha. Great job guys, really loving watching the progress !
Thank you!
You both done so well 👍👍👍
Thanks Gregg!
Well done!! 👌👍! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Rudy!
Hello Scott Haaaaa! ok you made your workshop and now your home! good! In more you have space around, I really like it !
Thank you! Lots do do still with the fit out. Lot's of nature all around too. All the best!
Go Judy! Hey Scott, my experience is the Mrs will take over both sheds...Do you have a swag?
Haha! Oh........bugger
Great stuff Mr&Mrs T! You two make a great team! I love the videos and look forward to the next stage in your new dwellings! Scott, I love the way you go through each stage of the build and how you discuss how and why you are doing certain things. Even the attention to detail of protecting the fascia as not to scratch it at your awning. Any other tradie would have just forced it in and left it. I envy the peacefulness and the surroundings of nature you will enjoy, I love the water tanks and the other bits and pieces that we take for granted living in our concrete suburbia. I’m looking forward to your heating set up and power set up for the new build, you gotta build a nice big wood stove in there Scott! One that you cook on and heat the home. I miss the big Aga stove from back home, it connected to radiators in all the rooms, heated all the house up as well as done all the cooking. All the best on the journey Scott!
Thank you Franko for your encouraging comment! Yes we will be building a wood stove hopefully very soon. All the very best!
QLD, hot one day, raining the next.. 😂 Shed/House is coming up mint.. quiet enjoy your videos, very visually informative 👍
Much appreciated! Yep has been rainy!
Onya Jude! Looks great Scott.
Thanks Sue!
I bought an off grid shed house just like this. Already build with all off grid features and It’s the best buy of my life. Hope you enjoy yours just as much
Great to hear Johan! Thank you!
Geez, a fully black metal shed. Perfect for baking!
Haha, hope not.
Oh damn, rainwater collection system? And a big one too, love to see it. Always loved the idea of two tanks, a big gray water tank and a smaller well fed tank, elevated for a gravity pressure system.
We'll have a large elevated tank and a smaller tank to feed it. On the big shed we have a large tank, so 3 all up.
Great job, you two! Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for sharing your journey. Thumbs up!
Thank you TCM! All the best!
Well done Mrs. Turner, glad to see that you were able to get Scott to help you out more than last time. ;)
He is a Sloth but sometimes he's okay ;)
Sloths are wicked cute though.
@@BadlandsGecko Okay, you got me, maybe an Iguana with Sloth like speed then :)
This woman is a treasure. Helpful and beautiful. Regards :)
Agreed. That's why I married her 31 years ago :)
Judy’s labourer seems to be coming along. Might be ready for his own tool bag soon
If he plays his cards right he might :)
Wish we saw this last September. This clip is full of lots of tips. Thanks Scott.👍
It's my hope people can find useful tips in these videos. Thank you!
Looks great, thanks for the update ☺
Y'all are a great team. Really a nice build.
Ditto!
Thank you!
Good job, looking forward to the next video
Thank you!
I've never seen building with metal framing before. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Cynthia
That really is the business, guys. It is a real steady steady process. It is great to see it coming together despite the weather setbacks over an extended wet.
Thanks Dale! Bit by bit it comes together. The body is a bit sore too! All the best mate.
I am enjoying the off grid build series so much Scott! I hope to do the same someday myself. Judy is kickin arse!
Thank you Bonnie! Yes she is :)
The cutting the sheets with a grinder hurt my soul 😂 but love you guys ❤ great job! 99.99% perfect.
Thank you so much. I know what you mean, sorry about that. I didn't have a shear or nibbler so the grinder it was.
Awesome stuff you two. Looking forward the next episode of the internal fit out.
Much appreciated!
Looks great big thumbs up from Texas.
Thank you Texas Star!
Awesome couple. Nice to see you all enjoy the build. I must also admit that it looks very very nice.
Thank you Kris! We have to make it home now.
I could watch this for days, awesome work.
Great to hear, thank you!
I like the metal structure , very nice.
Thank you!
great job guys Scott looks like you have a nice helper there You gotta hold on to that one
Thank you! Been hanging on for 31 years so far :)
My wife and I are celebrating 35 years this year. We are a thing of the past buy gone age. unfortunately nobody stays married for very long anymore. They’re missing out on so much.
@@kimber1958 I very much agree with you. All the best for you both.
You got it dried in. That's a big step. Things will be much more comfortable now that you're out of the sun, rain, and wind. Congratulations. It makes things a lot less urgent.
Thank you Ross! Yes agreed.
Looks bloody marvellous 👍
Thank you Jose!
