Hi there. I have a problem with my mk6 7speed vw golf.. some of the gear are not working... Gear. 1-3-5-7 are working. But. 2-4-6-& Reverse. Are not working. What can be the problem.. Kindly reply.....

Please check all fault codes and email me your scan reports at Aliautomech@gmail.com Looks like one of your sensors which detect clutch movement has stopped working

My VW Polo fuse to the Mechatronic Control Module (TCM) is blown and keeps blowing due to a short to ground, this is creating fault code U0101 - Lost communication with TCM. I guess I need to remove the Mechatronic cable connector to determine whether the short to ground is in the TCM unit or is in the wiring up to the TCM unit. Any further advice? Thanks for sharing the video!

It's either 2 things 1st just set the volt meter to continuity and insert one of the probs into the couplers positive with ignition off and other prob to the battery negative (not on the body) If it beeps that the problem is on the car not the mechatronic 2nd if the above doesn't work than most probably you have a bad tcm plate

@@MBAAUTOYes I was going to do what you’ve suggested. If it turns out that the TMC is shorting. Then will the replacement require programming? If so then are the software/tools available easily? Thanks!

@@cyberlightbeing it depends where your from, just match the last alphabet and your good to go new ones cost alot just get a used one if it's a D than swapping will do
