Tacoma looks better than a Hilux TODAY, but a modified Hilux like this, looks darn good. Needs a long bed though
Awesome work. Toyotas are always the best for the worst weather conditions and the most rugged terrains in the world. Mad respect
They used to be good. A few years ago th4y settled a class action lawsuit for $3.5 Billion firnrusting frames. Then comes the number of complaints about oil sludging and destroying engines. Seems they got to th4 pinnacle of reliability reputation then became complacent and letting QC go downward. I bought a brand new 2004 4Runner. It was one ifnthe worst cars I've owned. I had spent $3,600 in repairs over 3 years if th3 6 years I had owned it. Worked ok fir the first 3 years then everything seemed to fall apart in years 4-6. Since I had purchased a service contract it was serviced like clock work and all fluids and filters changed right according to factory specs. Toyota? Oh what a feeling as I write another check for another repair.

What is this? 1989 and Jeremy Clarksons science class? Look around, The Americans build much better Pick up trucks now. That includes Quality. Arctic, Great company. Toyota, meh.. Check out a ZR2, Raptor or Gladiator Rubicon.. you are not even into Bison yet.

Most of it is actually pretty basic, mostly bolt ons. The hardest part is cutting off the cab mount and relocating it. There are a few places in Taiwan that modifies Jimnys, I'm sure one of them can do this too.

@@user-xt6vb6bc1v interesting that they would turn down work... cuz diff work is the same, maybe cuz they're just scared because they don't know Hilux. I'm sure somebody will do good work, probably just hard to find. There's "Taiwan Land Rover Club", maybe they know someone who will work on independent suspensions since the newer stuff is front rear independent. I don't know any Hilux or Toyota offroading clubs in Taiwan, and havn't heard of any shops either...

The wheels are Arctic Trucks Dernier HDF 17x10 with an offset of -52mm. The tyres are BFG Ko2 37/12.5R17

Love my 2021 Hilux but I wouldn’t mind this one now what a machine. Is this the manual model? I have manual and it tows hard not so great without load on. The gear box is awesome ratio for towing
