SOLO Off Roading in My Land Rover Discovery (Sketchy)

On this adventure I take my Land Rover Discovery 1 for a solo off road run through some fun trails in my area.
The trail gets more difficult as the video progresses. Going on these solo mid week runs is one of my favourite things so I hope you enjoy it!

  • Not a Landrover fan but very impressed that you did this by yourself with out these bloody spotters that we see in other videos I can see now why landrover has big windows it’s to lean out and look at the track Well done to you enjoyed it very minimal wheel slipping and no bloody powering through ruts but change of angle and try again you showed how it should be done with minimal damage to track and vehicle

  • Love the simplicity of the video and the capabilities of the disco shown without having a heavy foot on the accelerator. Also love the lift! I’m thinking I might have to increase mine an inch or 2

    • Thank you, land rovers need to be treated with love and respect as I am sure you know 😉. Giving it a few more inches in the rear and bigger tires transformed the way it looks. It also drives great on road as the front has only been lifted 2.5

  • Is that 4 inch lift with 285 55 16? I'm at a 2-inch lift with heavy duty springs but I would like to go to a 4-inch lift I'm just worried the Springs will be even stiffer. How do people build these really soft articulating rides? Seems like some of the best articulation I have seen is on the factory set up but I just want something with much more travel and a 4in lift to do the same soft articulating as the factory set up and I don't know how to achieve that. Seems like everything is stiffer when you go higher. Amazing video by the way I like all the camera angles and how it was mostly driving instead of talking like some of them talk too much. I really need to get someone to help me because the few video clips I have are of some of the easiest stuff I did when I first got my truck and since then using this off-road app I've done some really really technical Jeep trails over here with very steep Rocky dangerous stuff and major axle twisters but never really caught any on Tamara except for the one where I'm going down a hill really slow but the camera was way too far. It was a solid rock face on one of the harder Trails over here usually done by modern Jeeps with lockers

    @ronaldrrootiii6040@ronaldrrootiii6040 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey, you don't need to lift it more to get articulation. Articulation on old Land Rovers comes from longer shocks. Install longer shocks, dislocation cones and remove the sway bars. It will flex like crazy!

      @TheUntraveledPath@TheUntraveledPath Жыл бұрын
    • @@TheUntraveledPath ooooh ok. So what length shock if I was to look them up? Right it is ome 2 inches. Yeah I did sway bar deletes that helps but these heavy-duty Springs are a little stiff I think

      @ronaldrrootiii6040@ronaldrrootiii6040 Жыл бұрын
    • @@ronaldrrootiii6040 keep the heavy springs. They help when you remove the sway bars. Try going for 2-3cm longer than the ones you have now. Make sure that they aren't fully closed when on normal ride hight
