  • When you're 5'6 or even 5'2, keep in mind there's a shorter guy who feels worse about it than you do. Be humble, height isn't everything. Don't surround yourself with people who think it does matter

    • @Major PainDiaz It really isn't. Sure height will boost your chances... but there's plenty of women who don't need a 6 foot 3 man to date. The people who only about height are the ones you should avoid

      @Wonder7771@Wonder77714 жыл бұрын
    • @Major PainDiaz - That's an overgeneralization. I was 5'8" and my wife is 5'10". She never thought that she would date a shorter guy, let alone marry one. And she was being pursued by star college basketball players (including two who went pro). But I was pretty confident in myself and how we seemed to be a good pair. Twenty-five years and two children later, I don't think either of us has any regrets. I know that I don't. I don't think that I would've survived cancer without her. I think about how important she is to my life several times each day. In any case, you're not going to make yourself taller. So, it's better to accept your height and take pride in important things, like your character and your achievements. If someone doesn't want to be with you because of your height, oh well. There are billions of other people, and all of them aren't that shallow or won't remain that shallow.

    • @@Wonder7771 - True. If height were everything, there would be a lot less short people because only taller men would be reproducing.

    • By the way, I'm 5'3" or 5'4" now, after all of the fractures from the cancer (vertebrae, sternum, ribs, and neck). That has been a much bigger adjustment than growing up short. Being short didn't really bother me at all beforehand. At most, it played into me embracing being known as a big hitter in football (a bit of "Little Man Syndrome"). But now I'm shorter than people I've known for years, I can't reach things in my house, my casual button up shirts are too long to leave untucked, and none of my ties fit. My suits still fit pretty well, but my right shoulder is lower than my left now. So, I don't fill out the right shoulder of my suits. But I can't change my height. And I'd rather be 5'3" and alive than a 5'8" corpse. To me, life is about trying to make the most of the circumstances you're presented with. That may sound cheesy, but I still think it's a good approach.

    • Like obviously you should embrace it, but I get that in the real world-- and sometimes unfortunately with women-- it's not quite so easy. If you want to just look a little taller in _particular_ social situations, you could always get a sharp pair of boots like Thursday Boot Co Captains (or other another slim profile boot, avoid big toe boxes since they can look like clown shoes), and some Kalevel height increase insoles, and you could look 5'6" easily, and then you'd at least be able to be taller than a lot more girls at parties and stuff. They also have a 2.75" boost one, so you could legit be like 5'7.5"ish or something. I don't think there's any shame in it for things like that. It's not really any different than girls wearing makeup and the like. Hope it doesn't come across the wrong way.

  • The biggest problem shorter guys have about being short is having a problem about being short. I'm 5'6" and gave up long ago caring about how tall I am. Throughout the years, I've known loads of guys - including those in my own family - who are just obsessed with it. From constantly mentioning how tall everyone is in comparison, to the 'self-deprecating' jokes they tell, it becomes a real drag. It is what it is, and you groaning about it isn't going to change anything. The basic style guide for anyone should be simple: wear clothes that actually fit. Don't think about ways of tricking people into thinking you're taller. It's just a waste of time, and you'll just be over compensating.

    @SmithMrCorona@SmithMrCorona5 жыл бұрын
    • when u r single, it really is a problem because women generally find short guys unattractive and most would just not even consider dating a short man. it becomes less of a problem and just a minor nuisance when u r finally attached with someone.

  • Being an asian, being small for me is not an issue, not unless you experienced bullying just like me. But the most issue i face as a short person (5flat 😭) in the environment i am in is your get up or the way you dress up, in the Philippines, being fashionable is too much but with your videos, i feel like, what they say won't matter anymore. Thanks man. I love your fashion and the confidence, you're an artist

    • Like obviously you should embrace it, but I get that in the real world-- and sometimes unfortunately with women-- it's not quite so easy. If you want to just look a little taller in _particular_ social situations, you could always get a sharp pair of boots like Thursday Boot Co Captains (or other another slim profile boot, avoid big toe boxes since they can look like clown shoes), and some Kalevel height increase insoles, and you could look 5'7" easily, and then you'd at least be able to be taller than a lot more girls at parties and stuff. They also have a 2.75" boost one, so you could legit be like 5'9"ish or something. I don't think there's any shame in it for things like that. It's not really any different than girls wearing makeup and the like. Hope it doesn't come across the wrong way.

Watched lots of videos how to talk well and concentrated on my talking skills. By looking back I've dated 10+ girls including one with an height of 6'4. Friends, if we have a flaw, we should have gotten two strengths. So fuck with the flaw and suck the strength 👊💪
