  • I get bands need to stay in the public eye with a new album but a loss like Paul is hard. I played in a local band some years ago. If I got sick or had something personal to take care of then I was ridiculed and told I wasn't dedicated to the music. What's sad is the person saying this to me was hooked on pills and could barely play his instrument. He would disappear for hours to days then call everyone to come practice at all hours of the night. I finally got fed up and quit.

There’s always obstacles you just need to overcome them. Also I don’t think it was just the touring that put strain on his body, it might also have to do with alcoholism and the way he treats his body. • 19:14 Disturbingly numb and still give me goosebumps to this day when matching his songs up to his problems he had it really all comes together... Chris Cornell another one that I just didn't see coming at all... Man whatver the hell Cory has or had going on let's hope that he just deals with it. I don't care what Slipknot as a band does with whatever they do in the future for their band, yeah somethings sucked a lot that I didn't understand, still don't, and don't like but I just like their music from the past anyways, don't care what happens now just hope that everyone's thriving and living their life. Dying is inevitable, it's part of the lofe or should I say territory that comes and has came with our mortal existence, but getting it taken away if nt shortly by sickness, fatal injuries, harm from others in public, or self harm god forbid all can come up in one thing unexpectedly and misfortune... Dying in one's sleep I had just learned is probably one of the best best if not peaceful ways to go NATURALLY with no force and has no pain at all so that's not so bad to me really felt less bad and worries for those who have already fallen it in the past because what more can you ask for than that when death shows up randomly and are string you right in the face. Anyways, TEDTalk rant over but live life to the fullest, snd enjoy whatever you have now with others if you can.

Number 2: If it were true that Slipknot doesn't make a lot of money, why can they afford to be on hiatus for 4 years after every album and tour? Corey Taylor has proven multiple times that he is a liar and a manipulator. I hate that he turned out to be those things, but he is.

I have a hard time with listening to the band and the firing of Chris, Joey, and now Craig and Jay! Especially after Joey's death. I think it's pretty apparent that him being fired is directly related to his passing. He was heartbroken!!😢 I don't wish anything bad on Corey though, because well that's not who I am!! I watched many interviews with Slipknot and knew they started as a group of toxic guys working out their stuff through their shows and I knew Corey had a very bad history with his family but I did watch a video a few years ago where he said that he had been sober for seven years and loved to be at home with his kids and lay on his couch all day and when he met his then wife and her parents were concerned how he could support them he said he was worth I think $30 million. I hope Corey does finally get his life together. I have watched so many interviews with metal bands and so many of their fans have told them of their abuses so they have to deal with those stresses too along with relentless touring and drugs and alcohol.

    • As someone who lives in Des Moines and was in the band 12 Ga Floss that opened their first show as Slipknot, in 1996 before Corey, you have this figured out correctly, more than you know! I’ve met all of the original band members, and I could talk about Slipknot facts all day long. Shawn Crahan is a hack musician. Joey, Paul, Jim, and Mick, that core of the band, was the thing that propelled them to the top. Corey was the icing that took them over the top. That’s the actual real Slipknot recipe right there. That band is long gone now. It is sad indeed.

Being in the Des Moines area, any and all the local musicians knew each other, there is literally no scene here. Incredibly small, for instance, Josh Brainard was in my brothers class in our high school, S.E.Polk. I was 3 years older than them. I’m 53 next month.

  • I love slipknot, Corey has always been a douche. He said to give Obama a Chance but was anti Trump from the start. There was also that time he thought that tattoo artist should have made him a top priority because of who he was. Slash Told Axle at one point to just shut up and sing.
