Will Dommaraju Gukesh be able to make history as the YOUNGEST world champion? The FIDE Candidates Tournament is one of the most grueling tournaments in chess, and this year is no different as Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, Pragg and others fight for the COVETED spot to face Ding Liren in the World Championship.

And this boy is only 17, I'm just blown away by his composure!
are you really?
@@user-tz7ov9rz1iwhy u care ??
Well it aged well
Young Gukesh has the calmness and mindset of a Champion already!
Gukesh talking in his OG 0.75x speed
His chess speaks slowly and carefully.
It's soothing
It's the sign of mentally strong people
magnus does the same lol
Gukesh one of my Favorite players Great determination he’s only going to get better Always Rooting for you
bro is what every guy want to be in chess , he is calm cool and brilliant . I liked one line he said "Apart from 1st position everything is the same " . GUKESH MENTALITY
Gukesh will become a World champion at some point in his career, Mark my words
His performance rating isn't very good. He might win tho. Pragg 2780, gukesh 2720 nordibek 2760
@@sauravsharma8461 Performance rating depends on average and also drawing the games will not impact performance rating hugely and pragg and vidit go for more draws than gukesh. Gukesh plays fearless chess and will give you decisive result so is performance rating impacts usually because of his decisive games. Gukesh's comeback after losses is what makes him special
That's so obvious, gukesh and pragg is definitely become world champian and there no doubt about it
No sh**
Everyone knows this
he's well spoken and talks like a gentleman at just 17! very nice conversation gukesh, all the best!
Bro is currently on the top of the table
I love how he stops to listen to his mind and give the best possible responses
Even watching at 1.25 the responses feel so sluggishly slow it feels like he has to translate in his brain rather than listening to his mind. If he did "Listen to his mind" he wouldn't stutter and "umm" every 3-4 words
Gukesh simultaneously finished meditating during the interview 🧘♂️
Good luck Gukesh, and congratulations for your achievements so far.
My prediction is D Gukesh will win the candidates...
Kinda right!! He is leading the candidates rn!!!
@@anuthishrivastav Right Anuthi... But we have 4 more rounds to go and anything can happen for now... My prayers for Gukesh 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
He did it❤
@@VishalGavel-yl3xz Yeah...now my next prediction is Gukesh will become new World Chess Champion... Also he may be the next Chess GOAT after Magnus...❤️
HE DID IT!!!
And my guy wins!!
I think that Gukesh and Nodirbek have the greatest chance of being the new younger generation world champions
such an exciting player on the board and so calm off the board
Go Gukesh!!
GUKESH❤
gukesh is a teenager with chess knowlegde of a 25 yr old
He did it
YES HE DOES!
He will be the world champion soon.
am I the only one put off by the background music?
that’s insane
Great video
I do agree that it will be harder to win the candidates than to beat Ding. He's not in top form.
Be the dark horse Gukesh! Good luck!
best of luck gukesh
OG Gukesh
Gukesh will win the candidates the day Carlsen retires, even though there is no relation between both
Magnus doesn’t compete in the candidates it seems he’s good with WC as well so it’s irrelevant
Yes He Can!
He will qualify for the match and win it this time and beat Magnus and Caruana in a simul.
ok
calm down
😂😂
I remember in the 90s African football players would come to Europe and play for various clubs, and a lot of questions arose if they were really their stated age, as birth certificates didn't exist or might have been tampered with. I thought maybe Gukesh was the same, until I learned it's quite common for Indians to grow full beards as teenagers. In any case Gukesh is not like his stated age, which is a huge compliment. It's still impressive as a 21 year old, and only more impressive if he's 17.
It just shows how ignorant/how little your knowledge of other countries. Learn that there are places apart from the west.
His mother is microbiologist and his father is surgeon, do u really think he dont have a birth certificate??
Five years ago, when he was 12 years 7 months old, he became the second youngest Grand Master in the world. His photographs of those days are available online. Please have a look at those photographs. Then come back and tell us if he looked 16 years of age to you in those photographs of five years ago.
Good thing is Gukesh is well photographed since a little kid.
At least dont flaunt your ignorance. Its one thing to be a donkey, and another to cry out, look world, here i m.
Good for him all the best
inasmuch i support Gukesh and Prag, I think Nepo is too experienced in this affair. I think Nepo will win and Fabi will be second. Ding will withdraw and Fabi will win the title!
Gukesh bashers don't cosider how young he is?!
Who is girl talking?
hello
Monkey D Gukesh🗿
Hikaru got his number
Bro looks 25+ , ain't no way this dude 17
. . . just because you couldn't grow a stache and still sulking in moma's basement?? Learn to use Google and find out this kid's history. Everything is available on the net.
He Hit Puberty Early. He's 17 I looked Like Him at 14
Dude look for his videos 5 years back be commenting some nonse
wowie
Hes not there yet.

Question why mostly everyone that are interviewed that are non americans that i watch have good english or am i that bad
1) Top chess players play in tournaments all over the world and give several interviews, so they have experience giving interviews in a second language. 2) English is actually very common in India and is the usual language of instruction at most schools.
@@enderduck4253 oh that explains it they do seem they know what to say like they are ready.thx for explaining bro appreciate it
@@qobw i had no clue i thought indian studied mostly everything in there language cuz iv seen other national people who dont know much english like russian so i thought indian will be also the same.thx for explaining bro
Hindi medium schools are more common than English. But English is a taught in every school as a separate subject. Plus Indian parents are very strict regarding studies and education. So you will find a lot of good English speakers, especially among the younger generation.
@@indianfan1029 i didnt know why i thought indian still lives like the old days iv watch videos about them but had no clue they cared about education that much thx for opening my eyes bro appreciate it
