Was thinking a similar thing. It’s way better to have one of if not the best bantamweights of all time on your resume, and Aljo doesn’t have a lot of knockout power so Volk can get his confidence back. Movsar is good for gaining confidence but does nothing for legacy out of possibly cleaning out next generation contenders
Unfortunately I think Volk has too much pride to fight anyone else except Topuria 😭
This is such a bad idea holy shit. Movsar has bad finishing ability but the guy has power, he rocked Dan Ige and knocked down Arnold Allen. If Volk doesn't take a long break then the only person he should be fighting is Aljo who actually has pillow hands. If Volk vs Movsar gets booked don't be surprised if Movsar knocks him out.
But Movsar is one of the best in his weight class. I hope that he will defeat Volkonovsky and fight against Topuria
Haven't even watched the video and I know I agree, Movsar is the perfect fight, he has no power and having prepared for Islam Volk's ready for almost anything Movsar can throw at him

Movsar is the perfect next opponent for Volk... I think Volk should be able to outstrike him and also work on his grappling to prepare for his next rematch against Topuria
Whilst I'd love to see Volk come back and beat Ilia, I've got a lot of questions about whether he could manage it. I had this thought but my view was give him Aljo if he beats Kattar. Aljo is a bit smaller, also getting on and is a legend at 135, it's a great legacy fight for either of them regardless of Aljos relative lack of experience at 145. Then if Volk wins that fight do Ilia. Unfortunately though I think Volk has too much pride to fight anyone else he's going to try Ilia again.

This is a HORRIBLE fight matchmaking wise. We really shouldn't even be entertaining this because we might j end up w another Max Holloway gatekeepers new contenders type situation.
It's about the biggest fights for the last amount of work. Fighting anyone but Topiria is gonna give volk unecessary damage

It’s not a bad idea to fight movsar only thing is that it’s way to risky. Volk is considered one of the goats and if looses to movsar his legacy will all be gone. Rather than movsar he should fight tou ilia. And yes I am a big Volk fan and yes illia is going to beat Volk again.(losing to ilia is not going to be that bad and I think ilia will be fw goat)

No, he should sit out 1 Title Defense, fight the Winner Topuria or Evloev and Retire Win or Loss. If your a true Volk fan you want him to go out against the best.
I’d like for him to regain his confidence before going into that rematch. I like the Mosvar fight if he wants To fight at UFC Perth. Having aljo in his resume would also be fantastic
