At least some of these young ladies are able to say that they've visited Rome & other major countries! The traveling is good for their family & friends.

Big Davis fan from the late 20-teens. Seen her play live too. Either she is out of form or faces the declining spectre of age 30. Her backhand is still very good, but the double faults and the built-in challenges of being 5'2" -- always the smallest player in most tourneys -- did her in, though despite the lopsided scores, it seemed to be a very robust match between the two. Lot of huffing and puffing! Kerber, one of the greats of the latter era, is now 36. She has to work harder to stay competitive, but still manages some of her classic down-the-line forehands.

The score is exactly what I expected it to be. And Davis’ backhand is technically just not good 🤷🏾♂️ it needs a lot of work technique wise as it’s inconsistent.
