    • The problem about comparing eras is that people do it anachronistically. This is a bad way to put things in perspective. When you juxtapose two different eras having different culture, environment, psychology, sociology, rules etc, the argumentation becomes circular.

  • 😂what people dont understand is hard foul doesnr make the game harder to play. Its not like only one guy is allow to fould hard, remember other can kick your ass too. So its actually a level playing field. It mean it doesnt matter which era soft or hard, in fact, the soft era is harder because you cant hard foul to make up for your lack of skills. 😅

      @dustierbottoms@dustierbottoms14 күн бұрын
    • @@dustierbottoms Exactly. Jordan was considered the GOAT despite Kareem's much longer career. As you stated, Jordan just made a better case. You can see it in the NFL when it was Joe Montana vs Tom Brady. Brady went on to win more rings, with one under a different coach, and the argument for Joe Montana died down.

      @stein4866@stein486614 күн бұрын
    • @@conchobar that works only if a better case can be made. Im a Montana guy, I hated Brady, but sadly, I no longer can deny Brady being the goat. If I had to win one game, I still take Montana. But Brady is the goat. Jerry rice is the goat WR…and we’ve had a lot of players after him and people make cases on their behalf (megatron, moss, TO). But none are close to rice. Just like Bron isn’t close to Jordan. Is bron a goat of his generation? For some of it yes…just like shaq was, or Duncan, or Kobe, then Bron, now jokic. That’s why I asked…what makes someone an undeniable goat?

Smitty has a move named The Smitty, but he even came out years later saying it’s a bit of carry.
