China has launched the world’s first mission to collect samples from the far side of the moon.
If successful, the material gathered could provide answers to the history of the moon, the solar system and confirm when life was created on earth.
The Chang’e 6 robotic spacecraft will land in the south pole, an area of the moon never visible from earth.
The slow rotation of the moon means the far side is always facing away from us.

  • Doing these explorations for the benefits of mankind is great, since China is known to do that. However, China must not forget and forgive the US/NASA on their deliberate rejection on the Chinese participation on the ISS years ago, under the excuse and false pretense of “national security” (or some other nefarious excuses). Reciprocating policies should be implemented by the Chinese government. It is called "return a favor".

  • Chang'e 6 mission will attempt to obtain the first-ever soil and rock samples from the lunar far side and return it to the Earth. The primary phase of the mission is expected to last about 53 days. The Chinese Lunar Exploration Program is designed to be conducted in four phases of incremental technological advancement. The goal of the first phase is to reach lunar orbit, this was completed by Chang’e 1 in 2007. The second phase of Chang’e 2 seeks to land and rove on the Moon, in 2010. Chang’e 3 succeeded in landing on the moon in 2013 and Chang’e 4 in 2019. The third phase involves Change’s 5 collecting of lunar samples and sending them to Earth in 2020. The fourth phase consists of the development of a robotic research station near the Moon's south pole as well as to facilitate crewed lunar landings in the 2030s and possibly build a crewed outpost near the lunar south pole. China ready to launch lunar far side sample return mission Chang’e-6 aims to achieve breakthroughs in the design and control technology of the Moon’s retrograde orbit, intelligent sampling, take-off and ascent technologies, and automatic sample-return on the far side of the moon. Chang'e 6 is a planned robotic Chinese and Pakistani lunar exploration. The mission will also include international scientific payloads from France, Sweden, Italy, and a Pakistani cubesat. The collaborations reflect Chinese efforts to boost its international cooperation in space exploration. 12 countries and organizations express willingness to deepen space cooperation before Chang’e-6 launch Around 50 guests from 12 countries’ space agencies including Pakistan, France, and Italy, as well as representatives from the United Nations and the European Space Agency expressed on Friday willingness to seek cooperation with China in lunar and deep space exploration. The Chang’e-6 mission will carry a number of international payloads to the Moon, including the European Space Agency's lunar surface ion analyzer, France's radon detection instrument, Italy's laser corner reflector, and a CubeSat from Pakistan. The participants expressed willingness to seek new cooperation in lunar and deep space exploration with China. China is willing to work with more countries to expand human knowledge on space, enhance the well-being of all human kind, and serve the advancement of human civilization. The Chang'e-6 mission is tasked with collecting and returning samples from the moon's mysterious far side, the first endeavor of its kind in the history of human lunar exploration.

  • American technology makes it possible.

    @rickfeedandseed@rickfeedandseed17 күн бұрын
    • No, it’s the Chinese technology that made it possible! Gun powders were invented by the Chinese along with rockets, but then stolen by white Europeans. Likewise, one of the founder of NASA’s JPL was a Chinese born and educated scientist that helped create the first rocket for NASA to use. And that dude Qian was also the guy involved in Manhattan Project that developed the nuclear bombs for US use. However, after US have a fall out of China, this guy was automatically labeled as spy, and was under house arrest by the American authorities before he decided to leave US and head back to China. And when he returned to China, he was able to help China modernize their rockets which lead to China’s space program today. He is literally the only guy who is a founder for both countries space program. But for some reasons racist Anglo Americans refuses to acknowledge his achievements in the U.S. whereas China celebrated his. This is a good reason for many Asian specifically Chinese Americans to see that their achievements in the U.S. will always be stolen by the Anglo American whereas if they return to China for development they will be forever remembered in history. Good reasons why we are seeing so many technological failures in the U.S. space and sciences today as many of those bright minded Chinese Americans who faced bamboo ceiling and racism in the west no longer want to be a behind the scene engineer and scientists who actually made things happen for the Americans, they are now doing it for China to receive actual recognitions of their contributions.
