There are a lot of awesome ideas in here that you only get from first-time developers. And there are a lot of obvious missteps in here that you only get from first-time developers.
@@ramonandrajo6348yup, except for the granny.
Which awesome ideas are you talking about? Awesome idea to make a game that romanticises KDB and prison of nations also known as USSR? Or the awesome idea to make a game funded by Gasprom - company close to Kremlin? Or maybe awesome idea to gather your personal data for russian institutions including FSB (yes, you should read that license agreement)?
@@o_n_i_o_n You nailed it! That's exactly what I meant.
The most obvious misstep made by the developers was that they're Russian.
@@ramonandrajo6348 I was being sarcastic.
Not sure I can forgive you for cutting out the second where Tim Curry tries not to laugh at his own line
This.
Just badger them to make a red alert series honest trailer then.
The devs exactly knew what they were doing when they designed those robo sisters
Mhhm😏
Wait they're sisters?! Uh oh.
@@Maxx__________ Twins!
It's a wonder Pepsi Man quenches with his blood.
@@Maxx__________ Oh no step-robot, what are you doing!
The constant "Crispy Critters" lines are actually addressed if you go far enough along in the game. It's a side effect of... what the main character has gone through before the game.
Sadly people no pays attention to that stuff
If you put a spider down my shirt every time I walk past you for a week, I don't care what your explanation is. I still don't want to deal with it
@@Rich-fr2yv like your mom.
That could be true, but I'm thinking its a reference to the cereal from the 80's named Crispy Critters that had catchy commercials.
His comment on the "obvious villain" also is sus.
You cut the pause out of Tim's line. His chuckle before delivering that line is key.
The telekinesis is the real OP ability. Picking up every enemy in a radius and flying enemies is broken compared to freezing one thing that is right in front of you.
It usually is. Best move in Gravity Rush was levitating and throwing the enemies around like rag dolls. Yet, no matter the repetition it was oddly satisfying.
@@TheRhuen Also in Callisto Protocol.
Or going bowling in Force Unleashed
There's just something about yeeting things that is so primal but satisfying. Skipping rocks, yeeting enemies with shouts or maybe punting small bodied beings.
If only it didn't lift them so high that they are out of melee range, that's my one complaint, indoors it's a lot better
The main characters dialog really made me realize why the silent protagonist is so appealing for game developers. The ones that are not silent can miss really badly.
I guess, P-3 is a bit of a blockhead, he is supposed to speak awkward things and wear his thoughts on his sleeve.
The Russian VA is worlds better than the English, but also yeah he's SUPPOSED to be a bit awkward
True, true. I actually enjoy, say, Duke Nukem? As he's this ridiculous amalgamation of action hero tropes that walks like a man, and when written properly and not made to shrink down and be useless for half an hour, then totally fail to save any ladies in a massive alien invasion, then gradually work his way up to maybe putting a minor dent in a crisis he may well have created (i.e., when he's not in Duke Forever), he's a fun character to me. But so many crappily written unlikable douchemans are just ear sandpaper...
1:40 Never has the C&C meme been more appropriate. Perfect! Well done!
I disagree good sir. They took out Mr. Curry's snideful, self aware, subdued snickering pause. Totally ruins it.
SPACE!
@@ryanbauer3680 Agreed. Curry breaking character because the line is so ridiculous is part of the charm.
@@ryanbauer3680 it's kinda insane that the take C&C kept was the one where he's barely not laughing his ass off lol.
We all know where the Russian defence budget went, straight into robot jiggle physics development.
Рад видеть, что налоги, которые я плачу не тратятся попусту.
One must have _priorities,_ comrade gamer.
All you need in order to be the most annoyed super soldier is get the talking glove from Atomic, the talking bracelet from forspoken and the talking guns from high on life
We gotta be honest it's not perfect but it's pretty well made for their first game
Weak argument
@@OcultaManu what argument? 😭
honestly quite a great feat tbh. First game quite solid really looking foward to other games by this company
Some of the platforming was jank and I hate fighting ten tickles but I rest was good. And the wtf stuff was so wtf that it was funny... Or I'm mad.
@@LokiPhish42 don't forget the wtf ending. I'm so buying the next game
I will say one thing that I LOVED them for doing is that you can disassemble any of your weapons and you get ALL of the materials back for it and any mods on it. Same for removing powers and getting all of the points back. I have no idea why games insist on giving you (essentially) a penalty to redo your skill tree/weapons mods/etc. With Atomic Heart, there is absolutely no worry about experimenting and just trying out different weapons and power configurations. Sometimes, I would even change everything to a specific set up just for a certain area or boss battle. More games need to follow this idea of encouraging you to experiment rather than making you worry about whether you should use your special materials/skill points on this or that upgrade because you don't want to "waste" them, especially early on.
Interesting idea. I like it.
You can admit that you bought this game for the curvy robots. Everyone has a kink after all.
Ummm, sorry to break it to you. I don't think those twin robots have any... 'ports'
@@Sailed_away they’re just gonna mince your doodads
Thank Android 18, Android 21, KOS-MOS, T-ELOS & the girl from Ghost In The Shell for that kink.
@@ARTSONICFAN990 Her name is Motoko Kusanagi!
@@claytonrios1 That's the one.
I feel called out, there's just two reasons I bought this game and that's all I'm gonna say Also you know it's all on purpose when you realize that the metal checks jiggle, they put physics on metal
Understandable, have a nice day
"Nanomachines, son!" -Comrade Armstrong of the National Institute of Robotic Jiggle Mechanics
If I had a nickel for everytime a game had an unlikable protagonist with awful quipy dialogue and the source of their abilities comes from an object on their wrist possesed by the twist villan of the story I would have 2 nickels wich isn't a lot but is weird that it happend twice
reminds me of how in bioshock you turns out you were listening to the main baddie, feels familiar huh?
If I had a nickel for everytime the protagonist got beaten up by his now corrupted wife, I would have 2 nickles which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
I dont think p-3 is unlikeable
This game was fricking bonkers but ambitious and fun enough. 🔥 That ending though... Like waaa
While the MC was irritating to the point that i wanted to personally punch him within 30 of the game, i have to commend the writers for still managing to have unexpected twists in spite of the clear influence behind the story, the enemy design as the enemies always managed to feel threatening, and i am most of all thankful to the devs that N.O.R.A is unable to upgrade herself into having a mobile body like the Twins. Joking aside, its honestly amazing how closely the game lives up to the trailers considering how this is Mundfish's first game- So it would be completely worth buying on a $40 sale
@@Wilson6191 Oh, yeah. I noticed a lot of people in streams saying the Russian audio and dialogue just flows better, so maybe the translation for the English Dub had some challenges
Dammit- I failed to get an Honest Game Trailer for SimCity done again. But hell, if I give up now, what kind of deranged psycho would I be? Do SimCity! SimCity! SimCity! SimCity!
You have to specify the original or Simcity 2000, or they'll subject us to that abomination from the 2010s.
@@westrim whole series, duh :P
@@crystallkingh3048 I concur with this man, touch the series
@@westrim I kinda want them to do the whole series- from the starting off so well to keeping up the quality for over 20 years- and include the abomination. That way they can praise the goos stuff and save the savage jokes for the garbage title.
I'm surprised there wasn't more talk about robot girls, he always talks about BEWBS!
I really hope this game is the beginning of a large franchise, there's so much heart in this game and it shows, I'm really looking forward to whatever these developers give us next
DLC is on the way
@@Choo-choo-chookcha awesome!!!
Please say, “There’s no escape. The only hope is the sweet relief of death.”
Say “You can’t IMAGINE how inconvenient travel was before I invented floo powder!” Your trailers are the highlight of my week btw, thanks man!
Deek thinks you should be proud of this comment.
At one point, it seems all roads lead to Hogsmeade
Ballerina twins are what make this a must play
and everything else being painfully generic is what made it a must refund.
@@L8ugh1ngm8n1 Or we could play Bioshock, a actual great game.
Thank you!!! I asked for this last week and you responded in no time!!
Say calmly: "Harry, did you put your name in the goblet of fire?!?!"
Dude, you aren't wrong about the PC port. I have a pretty good PC (amd 5900x with rtx3800) and even I can't run most games on medium without needing to dial back a few things. I'm running this game on it's Ultra setting and it is dropping no frames, I'm getting way above 60fps and there is no mouse input latency or latency spikes. It really should be the standard. Also, most everything else you said is pretty true about the game haha. Definitely the RC Cola Bioshock Infinite...but also definitely bonkers enough to keep a person interested.
For some reason it really feels like the most optimized PC games come from Europe and Russia of all places, instead from billion-dollar American or Japanese game studios...
@@V-Jes American studios creates game for Xbox, Japanese studios creates game for PlayStation, hence it feels unoptimized for PC, because they are actually a port.
i really don’t know what you are talking about check your pc i run a rog strix rtx3080 and an i7 11700k 64gb ram gskill trident and i run every game on ultra (wqhd) including witcher3 updated with full raytracing and full hairworks, Cyberpunk 2077 on psycho mode, hogwarts legacy (without raytracing ok), rdr2 without any framerate issues
@@TheSolarium18 Dude, there is a difference between running those games and running them at what I consider to be an accpetable frame rate. You do none of those things at anything I'd find acceptable with your machine/specs in regards to frame rate and input latency unless you somehow had the most magical computer that myself or anybody who has ever reviewed/benchmarked those games have had access to. To you, no frame rate issues might simply be 30fps constant. Or 60fps most of the time. To me, I want 90+ locked in and never dips. And preferable no up and down to cause jitter with input latency. It is literally impossible unless all review sites are lying. You might think about those kind of things before responding like you just did.
Whoever writes these is a bloody genius.
That feeling when the critters are crispy.
I'm curious about that upgrade machine.
We cane for the bailarines, we stayed for the fridge
In honor of Lance Reddick, please say: "Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars."
Say "What? Where is it? Answer me now! Eugene!" and do an Ace Combat Honest Trailer before I have to resort to Project WIngman Quotes.
How have y'all not done an Honest Game Trailer for Duke Nukem Forever?! In fact,... please say, "Time to stop pissing around and get this big guy back into action."
Yeah.
Yeah, there's no way I'm paying full price for this... but it's on the wishlist. It looks too weird not to play someday.
It was a day one release on gamepass(xbox) so i tried it a lil bit
get it on game pass, good game but not worth 60
The game is worth $60, I just can't afford $60. The worst thing you can say about this game is that they talk too much.
@@ManganizationFor 60 dollars, I could get Bioshock 1, 2 and infinite, atomic heart is not worth it.
@@aaronlaughter6471 Whqt kind of argument is that?
The title puns don't usually get me to laugh audibly but here I am
Getting some major returnal vibes (or possibly more hyper light drifter, which might have inspired returnal)
6:30 PM is my favorite time of day hands down.
The RC Cola version of Columbia 😂😂😂
That joke about the robots at the end was *BRILLIANT* 😅🤣
I didn’t mind the protagonist to much it was more the very resistive act of finding a key button or hack able thing to open a door that made up majority of the game and it feels clunky and unrefined but for a first game from a new developer it was pretty solid and I enjoyed myself
Agree with every word.
When you gonna do Jedi Survivor?
Can’t believe you didn’t even mention the Bioshock reference. P-3 even name dropped Rapture.
Your writing is off the charts, I laughed so hard 🤣🤣
"Like I main-lined vodka into my eyes". Yup, that perfectly sums up the visuals.
Crispy Critters, those robots got me acting up.
For Joe Pepitone, say "I didn't fully realize it then, but that was the thing I was most trying to earn playing baseball. Not money. Not glory... Love."
Please do a Star Wars Republic Commando honest game trailer
Alas tis still not Alan Wake. I will keep trying though to get that Honest Trailer! Cya next week 😊
Crispy Critters are a part of a well balanced breakfast! 😂
Can you do one for a plague tale requeim?
4:32 thanks, that's all I needed to hear 👍
Wait. Did you guys edit that Tim Curry line? It's supposed to have a longer pause!
I wonder if my Core i7 8700 and GTX 1080 could handle this well enough (on 1440p by the way), or if I'd finally have to upgrade my PC.
I got core i7 8750 and GTX 1070 and it's still capable. Might have some issues with HDD tho
Oh, and thanks for the advice on those robo sisters
With the dlc it shows the "bad guy" wasn't actually the bad guy... more misunderstood guy trying to do good in a not sterling way.
Do an Honest Game Trailer for Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
Pepsi Woman was nicely chosen
Do Honest Trailers for Simcity and Hyperdimension Neptunia!
They attract us with the twins and suprised us with Nora the weapon upgrading robot.
next do the legend of heroes series!
Finally caught this just when it posted
While the game is rough around the edges, once I got a hang of the combat loop I really enjoyed it. I hear they're going to make a sequel, if so I'll be playing it.
2:06 Wasn’t Crispy Critters that cereal with animal shapes?
Do Asura's Wrath!
Love this series, pls do not cut Tim Curry short, that was cold!
Can you make an honest trailer for "Prince of Persia Warrior Within" please, and also any legacy of kain game
I might give this a whirl, regardless. It looks like it would scratch an itch I haven't attended for a long time.
I look forward to playing it, TBH, but I'm going to wait for a price drop/sale.
Now that you mentioned Tim Curry, Red Alert 3 honest trailer please
"Being able to fake bukaki a robot" was not a sentence I thought I'd hear today 😆
Crispy critters was a cereal in the 60s, like alpha bits
The game had interesting concepts, but platforming/puzzles and dialogue could had used more polishing. Had bugs of trying to jump ledges and phasing through the wall under the map, or dialogue randomly skipping. And being unable to interact with some objects/bodies. Would had also been nice to have had more cutscenes and screentime for the established characters. It sometimes felt like it was still in an outline-stage of writing with how characters would appear briefly, disappear until relevant, and then rushed through at the end of a level dedicated for them without even being a focus of a boss battle. Not counting the Phyluses, I think the only boss fights were Natasha and Left/Right?
Do "The Forest" original game next!
Say: "Mm, I love this one. My old man gave it to me."
Do a Honest Trailer for Hyperdimension Neptunia
+
Say what you want, but they knew their audience. People came for the twins but stayed for the upgrade machine.
Aint that the truth hahah
Please say "that's when the duck knew he found a worthy opponent"
The Duke Nukem we didn’t know we wanted! Loved the game and the current DLC’s 😍👌
I laughed so hard every time the sexy voiced gun vending machine talked was great!
If this were the slightly older days where games were 50 bucks instead of 70 and 60, I’d say the game is well worth it. But I can’t afford to splurge on a lacking game when I can barely afford gas and food. Somebody needs to body slam a lot of the ceos in various businesses so they can feel the non-1%’s pain.
If we can get an Atomic Heart Hoenst Trailer, here's hoping for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Honest Trailer. The series definitely NEEDS it
Crispy Critters is an American food product. The commercial in the 80s still has a weird place in my childhood memories...
Do Super Robot Wars next!

The Chaos Gods demand a tribute in the form of an Honest Trailer for the Total War: Warhammer trilogy!!!
If this is the closest thing to a new Bioshock, Soviet!
Do Bendy and the Dark Revival next!
