Everything known about MAFIA 4. Announcement, first trailer, and gameplay (possibly) already this month. It will be interesting to see the release date... But it's too early to talk about that yet.

@@ryanschram7266 Number 1, Scarface is based on the 1980s, not 1970s. Number 2, The Mafia didn't fall in the 70's, they starting falling in the 80s during the same time that John Gotti was in power before their eventual demise in the 90s. Number 3, the golden era of the mob was between 1950's to 1980s, NOT "1900s to 1950s". Before the 1950's the cars were super slow and the weapons were boring. You have NO idea what you're talking about. Do some research next time, so you don't embarrass yourself.......

The prequel idea in Sicily sounds horrible though. If Mafia 4 is set in the early 1900s or even the late 1800s with horses in the countryside then it'll be 1 of the most boring settings and time periods for a Mafia game. If I want to ride horses in a country-like setting then I'll play Red Dead Redemption. The whole point of the Mafia series is to be set in a populated city with an immersive atmosphere, amazing story, great music & fun cars to drive. Thats why a 1970s Las Vegas is what everybody wanted, plus imagine the gameplay possibilities of building, managing and taking over your own casino empire. Hell, even playing the slot machines or playing at the Poker or craps table would've been awesome. Instead, these clowns at Hangar 13 want to do a BS prequel story set in the middle of nowhere, most likely an empty farmland and bland countryside in ancient Italy (ancient by todays standards). Mafia 1 & Mafia 2 went as far back as they can go in the timeline by making their games take place between the early 1930s and late 1950s, that was already good enough. If they go too far back into the 1920s, 1910s, 1900s, 1890s, 1880s (etc...) then the cars & guns would be slower. The music would also be nearly nonexistent. These games are not Assassins Creed or Red Dead Redemption. Those games can be set hundreds of years in the past with no problem, but not Mafia.......

I'm NOT talking about ppl agreeing with me by "liking this specific comment", im talking about millions of ppl sharing my same opinion in the gaming community as a whole, specifically the Mafia community. This spans all throughout KZhead, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, Reddit etc... I've seen it in countless comments & polls. Many more people want an exciting 1970s Vegas setting over a boring 1800s Sicily setting. Even on the Mafia KZhead channel called "MAFIA GAME VIDEOS", you'll see hundreds upon hundreds of comments in those videos of ppl wanting a 70s Vegas setting. Hell, in this video alone, I saw 3 or 4 other separate comments of other people saying the 1800s setting sounds boring, so I ain't the only one. Either way, I'm NOT going to continue to waste my time exchanging words with an insignificant scrub that has an IQ of a peanut. Like I said earlier, go cry about it 👍👍👍

Millions of ppl in the game community, specifically the Mafia fanbase, have been asking for a 1970s Las Vegas setting for years in regards to the next Mafia game. Thousands of comments, public polls and community votes on KZhead, Instagram, Tik Tok, Reddit (and more) back up those numbers. The number of ppl that want a 70s Vegas setting for Mafia 4 vastly outnumber the minority of ppl that want some boring 1800s Sicily setting. The reality is that Vegas is a much more flashy, exciting and appealing setting for a Mafia game. Nobody besides you wants some dull countryside farm setting in 1800s Italy, if I wanted an 1800s setting, I'll go play RDR2. The community polls and votes dont lie and the numbers speak for itself. Mafia 4 will be in US before 1925, Mafia 5 will be about Joe and Vito after Mafia 3 or their story after Mafia 2. Mafia 5 is closer to finish then Mafia 4.
If it ends up being a prequel to Mafia 1, I am not sure Vegas would be a viable setting. Very few places outside of Lost Heaven (Chicago), Empire Bay (NY/Chicago) or Italy would really make sense. The mob did not have a huge presence outside of NY/Surrounding areas or Chicago until until roughly the time that Mafia 1 took place when they started expanding outwards much more. I know this isn't based on real life but they tend to be heavily inspired by real life timelines of the mob. 60s/70s Vegas would be awesome though

@@ArthurCallahanSolos I would be stoked for a 60s/70s Vegas setting. I think a lot of people have wanted a setting here from an open world game for quite some time and the best we have is GTA SA which is not entirely centered around it. A game with the setting entirely in Vegas could be really cool

Mafia 3 was a masterpiece, the story, soundtrack, gritty atmosphere to it. Yes the game has got its flaws but what game doesn’t. People only hate on that game because the Internet tells them to.

Horrible idea. Do u want the Mafia series to get ruined with microtransactions, subscriptions and battle passes? Because thats what online games are known for doing. Just look at how GTA 5 was ruined with all this online focus. Not every game needs online. The Mafia games have always focused only on single player and it needs to stay that way.
@@thechosenone2123I mean I don't know if you know this but the original version of Mafia 1 which is Mafia The City of Lost Heaven was originally going to have multiplayer. They cut it entirely but it was in the unreleased beta version of the game. There are mods to mod it back in. Multiplayer could work but it does not have to work the same way as Gta 5 online.
@@TurnSene And theres a reason why the multiplayer didnt make it past the cutting room floor, the game was much better off without it. Not every game needs multiplayer. I dont need the stink of microtransactions, battle passes, lootboxes etc... I want that far far away from my games....
@@thechosenone2123 yeah, I understand you. Mafia and Gta don't work the same way and Mafia can still be successful without implementing a multilayer system or online game mode.

We've already seen what happens when other companies try to shoehorn and force an online mode into their games and the games wind up being flops (and rightfully so). I'd rather have a phenomenal single player experience thats made with passion & love instead of having some soulless online cashgrab fueled by corporate greed & designed to extract every penny out of your wallet from microtransactions and subscriptions. No thanks, I'm good on that.

We saw how poorly received the Mafia 1 remake was, so it’s clear people don’t want mafia stories from those times. The gamers obviously want a Mafia game to be set in the 1980’s or 70’s in Florida or Vegas.
