    • Not to ruin the fun, but his striking still needs serious work, especially defensively. He has poor head movement and doesn't block well at all. That jab saved his life in there. His grappling needs work in some areas as well. His physical dominance is what's compensating for many of his technical weaknesses right now.

    • also you have to factor in that the old school influence the new guys. Without gsp and these other welterweight legends, kamaru usman might not be the fighter he is today. Also Usman has a lot of similarities to gsp. Strong jab to set up takedowns, great takedown defense, and great offensive wrestling and clinchwork. Usman isn't completely similar to gsp but he could be considered a better version of gsp

    • @@markboron2163 How? Have you not been watching Usman's fights? It will just go the same way it did the first time. Jorge trained with grapplers extensively before their fight and still had no answer for getting taken down, then him and his fans made excuses about everything being so short notice. Paul Felder came in on 5 days notice and had a fantastic fight with RDA and MADE NO EXCUSES whatsoever. Tony fought 2 fights fairly quickly and also made NO excuses. There's levels in professionalism

Besides, Usman isn't the only one that foot stomps, so what is the deal with that? When Cornor used shoulder strikes to as a weapon,everyone applauds him like "Wao! what a technique".

    • I think 135 is better atm and I'd still have 155 as top dog. WW would be better but usmans already beaten 6 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 5 already so a division isn't as exciting when the champs already beaten most of the competition
