Guys, I'm working on a more affordable option so stay tuned! I actually got mine from a manufacturer I'm working with in China. But if you need an expensive version of it now or are in a hurry, head over to shop.smarttint.com/Smart-Tint...
I'm not affiliated with them. They are just one of the companies i researched before contacting companies in China about mass production possibilities. Even with basic info I've received I bet you I'll be able to do at least! 4 windows for the price they are offering for 2. Stay tuned! If i discover i can't cut their price significantly down you got my word i'll do another video just recommending a company it get it from.
#TintTicket,
In Canada, we can get a doctors note which says we need tint for sensitive eyes to the sun and the cops can’t give you a ticket 😉👍
Step 1. Damage your eyes
U can get a medical exemption in most US states too. The cops still pull u over and u show them the exemption.... I find it wise to avoid ANY and ALL police interactions. Lol
@@AlexTechielol ....or just find a Dr willing to hook you up with an exemption.
Unfortunately the comments here are not accurate. In the past there were many states that would approve tint exemptions for patients who’s doctor verifies they have eyesight issues (e.g. light sensitivity) HOWEVER……..this is no longer the case. The state medical boards who approve/disapprove the individual tint exemption applications are no longer accepting that as justification. Their reasoning being “put sunglasses or prescription glasses on and problem solved”. I hate to bring people this bad news but it’s the unfortunate truth. The only way you can get approved anymore is if you have a serious medical condition that sunglasses can not protect on their own, for example: Albinism/Achromasia, or Skin Cancer. The other way of getting your approval is if you’re lucky enough to know someone within the system that accepts the applications OR if you have a doctor who is willing to risk their license to fill out a state tint exemption application for a reason that technically is not justified. It sucks but this is the truth. Any law abiding citizen should be legally able to put any % tint on their windows if they are a safe driver. No victim, no crime.
Man I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been pulled over for window tint.. even a few times after I pulled it off my front two side windows.. now don’t get me wrong my front windshield “allegedly” still tinted lol.. but still I never altered my factory rear tint but I guess the way my truck looks didn’t help.. 08 c1500 crew cab bagged all the way around and I would drive with it as low as I could depending on the road conditions.. I’ve paid thousands of dollars in fines and tint and re-tint and so forth.. great info thank you 🙏
I currently have Xpel Prime XR Plus with 99% UV rejection and 98% IR(heat) rejection. If this can match that, this product would definitely work for me. I just wish they had the option of black tint which looks more stealth compared to white or gray. I'm also waiting for someone to create film like on transition lens glasses that darkens in the sun and lightens when when it gets dark outside.
Xpel is the best tint out there
I would like info about DIY source
Thanks for sharing, This looks to be too easy to apply. Just waiting on a catch.
I'm with you! I said same thing. If there's a catch I'm gonna find out before recommending it to ANYONE! stay tuned!
Can't wait to see some more info. Perfect for taking the truck to shows or hot days on the jobsite
Yessir! Grinding & workin n to on get it to you. Stay tuned! 🤙🏿
Window tinting is a mad money business if you have the skills and patience... Also lends into the whole vinyl wrapped interiors and custom work...
Awesome, thank you!! Great Video. God Bless you.
great to see another fine video !
👊🏿
Loving ur commitment to this...Ur all in no doubt..I would love to do this to but it needs more than on off setting...It needs a dial, Then I would be interested...
can we also get this window tint in about the same size and dimensions as a license plate or two? 😇
You'll be able to cut it to whatever size you want. You'll have to add the electrodes yourself but that's not too difficult
Maknificent12 can you list the supplier from China that is a lot cheaper as you were mentioning. You only have the link for the expensive smart tint shop in the US. I guess we all want the cheaper one.
😂.
@Maurice Elenbaas I typically would love to but out of principal and respect for everyones time it doesn’t make any sense to recommend until Ive tried it myself and know it’s worth the recommendation. Makes sense?
Those stealth plates for running those cameras.
I'm very fluent with electric im def 100% interested in this product i am confused about leaving the car turned off and having a drain on the battery with the power converter ah nevermind you answer most of my concerns the sheet looked clear in most setting until end of video
Hey I want this I’m in Texas so this looks like it will help with the heat but also look great going down the road
absolutely! see description if you need something now.
as long as you are ok with not being able to see thru it then yay!
Dudes on to something cant wait to see where it goes
excited to see it myself!
Where are you getting the uncut material at an affordable price??
This concept is the same concept as what's in a normal average everyday calculator lcd. Came up with this idea 25 years ago. The solution is the glass itself has to contain the LCD and the film is what lets it be visible aka dark. The More voltage that is applied the darker it will get and so.
Hey man are you any closer on getting this set up
Really good video, If your thinking about electric window tint, I recommend watching this . . .
I really want to start a business installing this
I'm a 12 volt guy and I had this idea when I was in school for 12 volt, 14 years ago. Although my idea was to use the actual tint you see in homes. That type of frost is what I was considering, but I like this one in the video too. FYI, wiring this to an alarm, would be the most beneficial. Either an alarm with an auxiliary channel or wiring it to the main line. Also, didn't consider using a dimmer, thank ya much for that idea. And you're right, this is going to be big one day, kinda shocked it's just a few if us with this idea.
But its dark with NO power.... how would it function as part of the alarm wiring... are you saying you want it clear (powered) when the alarm is activated?
@@kafklatsch3198 it would of took some ingenuity. And no what you're saying is counterproductive to the goal. If going with my original idea & not what's in video. The alarm sends power to it when the car is off. Cuts the power when car is either on, with the auxiliary button, switch, whatever you wanted.
@@GranPuba so if like you say, you send power to the tint when the car is off, ... so you would make the window clear when the car is off.... and drain the battery to boot... why?
@@GranPuba You have it backwards.
I'm very interested in getting this product. I have a skin condition that I believe it will help me. Looking forward to see the installation video. Thanks
This stuff is for protecting the interior of your car when it is PARKED. It is not for use when driving. Everyone please click on the link to their website in the video description above. Zoom in and read everything carefully. It is clear when powered on. PRIVATE when powered off. The word tint is all over the website and in the company name. It is not a tint. It is a fogging effect for privacy or UV blocking. Watch the 20 second video of the dimmer control. As soon as it begins to activate it is foggy and blurs everything outside. Tint film is like your sunglasses, image is still optically sharp, not foggy. This stuff is only for a parked vehicle.
U might be 💯 right that in practicality it’s only for show cats. I intend to find out pros/cons n viability
I had electric tint installed on my 2011 Camaro ZL1, 9 years ago so it's been around for a while. It only lasted a year and a half before it stopped working. I had it done on my 2013 and again, it started not tinting/clearing properly in less than two years. Not being one to learn my lesson, I had it done on my 2019 and I bought top of the line tint. It too is starting to fail in November, 2020. I'll never do it again!!! Good luck with yours! I hope yours lasts longer! What brand did you buy?
When you got your tint where did you buy it.
@@chrisashley1550 I used three different sources and bought the best I could find. In doing research (after the failure of three tints) I found that they all work on the same principles. An electric current aligns crystals that are embedded in the tint. Rough roads, bumps and shock can displace crystals and that starts the degradation process. It only takes a few displaced crystals to set the wheels of inevitable failure to begin. I've seen dozens of people on car forums experience the same fate. It's sad because it's such a great idea!
@@timmack2415 thanks for the info. And from what I hear really expensive also. Would love to get it on my Tesla but probably too much for something that breaks so easily and inevitably.
@@chrisashley1550 You are questioning price when you have an 80k car?
@@loveshell6945 I shop for deals no matter what. Do what suits you.
If I was an electronics store or tint shop, I wouldn't want to do this ASAP, but first let someone else show that it can be done AND THEN I would offer it. Based on other smart LED tech, those things DO actually break so damn easy that I wouldn't be surprised bends would totally ruin this stuff. Plus vehicle vibrations/extreme temps/etc may also be a huge factor in how long this stuff lasts! Nice try at being very opportunistic although -- I too looked into this from my own idea of this being an idea(you beat me to it, but I did research this months before I found your video). ...It may still work yet as in now, it may just need custom curved designs having to be made, and I do think it will happen eventually.
Does it work well in Tesla?
so did you ever get that source for this worked out?
Ok so when it is in tint mode how easy is it to see out of the windows from inside the car because if it's anything like this demonstration I'd say it's like looking through a glass of milk.
according to the demo on the suppliers website, you are correct. You cannot drive with the tint one because you cannot see thru it from either side
Good morning bro , Need help with the battery size for the smart tint remote
You may want to contact some ambulance companies, I work for a city and our ambulances have this on the back door glass.
I need this hope it's cheap enough ha
🤔 Don't like the grey do they have any black window tint?
i am a window tinter and i am very interested, however the only real problem i see is shrinking the film (molding the film with a heat gun to the curves of the glass). i have seen it installed on building/home windows but those are flat glass, no need to shrink. good luck and if you are able to do it i wouldnt mind making a big order.
Will def talk. Video when doing install will be the litmus test if it can really work practically or not. Stay tuned!
Just go to your eye doctor and tell them the lights from othet cars hurt your eyes at night they fill out a form and you take that form to DMV and they put it on your registration, I am allowed to tint my rear window and side windows to 5% and windshield to 35% (state law is 35% rear 50% sides and no tint on windshield) its considered a medical device and noted in my registration police can NOT pull me over for my tint
Ya but you do realize if you get pulled over driving another vehicle with no tints, the cop can be a prick and give you a ticket
@@DetroitLions1984 no chance ,the exemption is on the vehicle not the driver's license
Nice One... I think it'll be ALOT CHEAPER To Go That Route... LoL!
@Maknificent12 so you bought the material from the website?
worst case is one of the wires going to the smart film gets hung up inside the door or gets wet from rain and conextion corrodes and it goes dark while driving you should still be able to put the windows down quickly. and if alternator dies the battery should keep enough power for that to still work even after the battery light comes on
I need hooked up with this ASAP! I'm tired of tickets!
Can you see out, but not be able to see in, like a one way mirror ?
So cool stuff but where do you order the tint from?
Where do I get the supplies I need to do this myself
If he tells where to get it before the year is out let me know. Is months he dragging this
Keion Rajcoomar the link to buy it is in the first video description
Yea I hear ya. This guy needs to make his videos shorter. He trying to keep you watching his videos so he gets the most KZhead play time. Never actually said the name in his video. Last time I watch his videos. This guy don’t know what he talking about.
Link me with the info
Frfr
It’s odd that you give it power and it goes clear and without power it is dark.. you think they would have made that in the opposite way.. I have a question though. With regular tint at 5% while driving you can still see out of it with no problems. This tiny it looks like when you make it dark no one can see in but you also can’t see out or can you
Thats because when turned on the chemical elements react to each other and clears up.
Where can I get the done in Washington DC area?
I would definitely like more info on getting some
Nice. Where can I buy this?
Can you please tell me what is the brand and contact information on the tint you purchased? :-)
weres the affordable option link
When the car is powered off does the system shut off and the window get clear?
Dark when powered off Clear when on
I am so interested. Keep me posted on how to get this cheaper!!
Does it actually make it darker in your car to protect from sunlight? Or is this just simply so people can't see you in there? I personally want tint on my car windows to make it darker so not as bright when driving in full sun. I also want it so my car doesn't get as hot sitting in the sun. If all this is is so people can't see you the it seems pointless to me.
I HAVE A QUESTION: HAVE YOU COME ACROSS A SMART TINT THAT YOU CAN TURN ON WHERE YOUR WINDOWS ARE DARK ON THE OUTSIDE BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE OUTSIDE FROM THE INSIDE?...I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE DIMMER SWITCH AS WELL, THAT WAY YOU CAN ADJUST THE DARKNESS OF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS!...THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS! 😇
hell yeah my dude
I want this let's show them it workes I have a whole machine shop I can use taking out the window is no problem I'll do it on my own car I'm 17 I'm building my first car taking my time to do it right.
Love it man! Let’s get it!
This won't work on most vehicles that require heat shrinking the film prior to install. I have been tint vehicle windows for 20 years and can tell you that 90% of vehicles have 2 - 3-dimensional curves, film is flat, so it needs to be shrunk to prevent figures and creases when applied. Think of it as trying to wrap a ball with aluminum foil, it is impossible to do without creasing.
Takes 300! hrs lol you are not far off lol it takes full day 24 hrs to cure and set up proper, and have use of the window for regular tint. I am pumped to check this new tech out and maybe bump up my tinting business
Cant wait.i need this
Just tell me where I can get this product....
Do we have an update?
Maknificent12 but when the film is active you can't see out your windows? that would be a pain for using review mirrors. or maby put a quick switch on the steering wheel or close by to turn it off when you need to use ur mirrors.
I got ti have this so how can I get some , very serious
Great research and taking action. Impressive, I want them for my house and car. Now what people are going to start their own business?
What research? What company offers this? Ways the website? I can't find this critical piece of info
It's a cool idea, but tint can be seen through from the inside. This appears that you cannot which would mean you can have "tinted windows" while driving? Or am I missing something??
that's the premice. Here's tint that you can CONTROL how much visibility you see on inside/outside. No matter the traditional tint you have only reason you can see from out in is due to the level of tint you have. Same concept here. 5% is still 5%, you can now control how much is seen. Meaning vs buying 5%,10%, or whatever tint level and being stuck , idea is you buy this and you can change tint % based on preferences. Make sense?
@@Maknificent12now good point, I was only thinking about full on or full off. Not thinking about dimmer control so you could see out as you needed to. Carry on. :)
Where can I get this?
Seems like a great idea but from what you showed its either clear or you can't see anything. I'd like to see what is going on when driving and changing lanes or pulling out of a parking spot or from a stop sign without having to turn it on and off
Thats why cars like my Honda Crv has cameras front, on sides and back
Where do I get it ?
Where can i order the tint?
Well what happened, where's the install update?
So how do I do it without pay the 750.oo
The system Im creating is not dependent on wiring to your car battery... and is way thinner than anything else in the market.
love it! shoot me info. Would love it if yours is better, would save me the trouble. lol
Are I selling it already?
@HOLLYWOOD00713 working on making it available. Unless my @Jasoncavanzo has something better?
@jason cavanzo I would like to see the system you're talking about coming up with
@@mr.closeoutx5551 ask and ye shall receive... coming soon
Is it just me, or does it look more translucent (and less transparent) than conventional film?
There's plenty of reasons why this material is not popular. Mainly, it doesn't last. Carbon and Nano-ceramic tint can last years without any issues. That stuff might make it a year if you daily your vehicle. $350-$500 with a lifetime warranty or $1000+ for a year of use and no warranty. Pretty simple to see.
I want that back in 2014 and everyone that does tint has not seen or heard about this fast foward to 2018 it is the same thing.
Where Can I Find This Smart film Tint ?
Alexander Hines first video has link in description for two window kits
Search it on Google lazy. Or follow what dude said.
Is it me or did you not say where to get the materials to do it myself... I’ve watched two videos now that you posted about this topic building interest but never stating where I can buy it.... So do I have to wait another 3 months?
No. 3 years. It's been 3 years since your comment. 😂
The only problem I see is when I hear... Please...turn...off...the...vehicle. Hands on the steering wheel!!! W.T.F. But the tech. It's a start. Needs a dimmer to succeed. But this will be a thing. Window ppl need to jump on this. It's been out for a while. Just not mainstreaming. Keep grinding.....
I hear that! Thnx 4 watching
They have it with a dimmer already
@@sgtslaughter0082 yes. Aknowledged. But it would need the dimmer to for it to be a thing.
Any update on this? Really thinking this would be good money. Plenty of customers would love this.
I wanna know too
How can I get this
Only problem with this is you can't see thru from inside to outside when it's tinted vs regular tint you can see out and not see in....
I'm looking for your instruction video
Ask them if they have tint that acts similar to smart glass from opaque too clear.
Look out film change with heat sun
Man I wouldn’t mind starting a side hustle doing this 🤔 you’re a genius for this video
I would buy this
Where did the tint come from?
Thank you! I can not believe no company name, link or website is offered!
I'll stick with regular tint. I don't get pulled over for my illegal tint anyhow, cops could care less where I stay. Plus the hazy look over black look is not my style.
Cool idea, but I think there's one big flaw. You can't see through it from the inside.
So where did you get it ??
I can't give you website b/c there isn't one. lol. Had to go down a rabbit hole of sorts to get connected with Chinese manufacturer. Ordering just a couple won't make it worth you while or any cheaper so I'm setting something up. stay tuned!
How's that's safe while driving if you can't see other vehicles while waiting to make a lane switch or turn left or right at an intersection? You'd have to keep switching it on and off? That's annoying
Still looking for the final install of this product..... Hummmm....haha 😄 🤣!!
Isn't it easier to have the dealer add it to the window sticker? It can be a dark as you want, but if it's on the window sticker it's 50 state legal as it came from the manufacturer
What do you mean if you could break that down 🤔
@@byronlove5482 I'm no guru, but I've run it by several dealerships and have had it done myself. If a dealer applies aftermarket tint on a car and it's on the window sticker, it is considered a factory option and is not subject to state law. Ultimately it is 50 state legal. If course the dealer charges way higher than if you did it yourself, but if you get pulled over for tint you show them essentially the car came like this from the dealer, they can't make you remove it. I had one on a Altima years back and was concerned. The dealer informed me of this and every time in got stopped they took it the same as if you got a medical exemption
@@justinconstant2218 i can't speak to medical exemption, but i had dealer installed tint and was told by the Nissan dealership that because they installed it and it was on the window sticker it's legal in all states. It could very well be because it was a dealer option.
@@justinconstant2218 i don't know what to tell you. I was the second owner, the tint was already on the car and it was on the window sticker. It was essentially limo tint. The DMV was ok with it, my local police was okay with it. When i moved to california they were all okay with it because it was on the window sticker. That's as much as i can say on it
Update?
This is the future
My thoughts exactly
I live in the Phoenix area as well. Just bought my first car. Would you or anyone you know wanna help me with tint, radio installation ect? I’m a little clueless when it comes to this stuff 🤦🏼♀️
@Tiffany T Howdy! We just moved from ND a couple weeks back so don't know area well but sure i could get you a recommendation from my bro who's lived here a minute. I'd love to help personally but a little occupied managing my insurance business this week. If you don't find anyone w/in a week reach back out when i'm back in town to maknifcent2@gmail.com n i'll def get you set up
Maknificent12 Thank you so much! I will be in touch!
Not sold on it doesn’t look like tint you can’t see out is thst the idea ? And what about the other windows they will look completely different because you need to see out the back window. The concept is awesome and I hope I change my mind. Cheers
appreciate the feedback. Will demonstrate final conclusions shortly.
Great product but there are some area where cops will tell you to turn the vehicle off and they will give you the ticket 🎫 when they see it is dark. That is the only issue I see
This is a very good question. Maybe the tint could have a 3 minute timer. Open and shut case and I'm gone.....
You can shut the engine off and still have power to the tint via auxiliary power. Same as listening to the radio with the engine off
Bro im definetly interested in the electric tint if you could MSG me the info would love it ty
Where can I get Bro. I need it.
Grinding & workin n to on get it to you. Stay tuned! 🤙🏿
Where can I buy this

I could use the info please for my Mercedes Van...
Hey is there anyway you can send me a link to get this for myself?

When you turn it off you can’t see out of it. What’s the point of having all your windows where you can’t see out? Sounds stupid to me.
Info please .
