    • @@t.r.1503 Well, think about it this way. The judge saying that the lawyer needs to go if one wants to stay on the Trump case confirms that there is actually enough evidence to say that the hiring was a violation of conflict of interest. Yet, the judge has no penalties for such a violation by one of the highest offices in a province in charge of justice. So regardless of which side you might find yourself politically, you have to admit that something is wrong.

    • Yep, based on formal and material grounds this case would have never brought, or already dismissed. Anyways: It is about the words 'compromise this case'........!!! Willis and or Wade have to go of the case. For Willis and Wade hell just started. But they not smart enough to understand that. Interesting creative ruling by Judge Mcafee and a great victory for Trump etc. This Trump and 5 other accused election interference case is already dead, and Willis and Wade's careers are over.! But I wonder if Willis, Wade and the DA office realize that yet. I'm afraid, they don't. We'll see!

  • This was a purely political decision, not a judicial one. There are only several legitimate action: 1. Find a conflict of interest for Willis and Wade but allow both to remain on the case, because the conflict isn't sufficient to warrant removal 2. Find a conflict of interest for Willis and Wade and remove both from the case, because the conflict of interest is sufficient to warrant removal 3. Find no conflict of interest for Willis and Wade and allow both to remain on the case, because no conflict of interest exists and therefore removal makes no sense There is no option of 1. Find a conflict of interest for Willis and Wade but allow Willis to stay on the case, while removing Wade because the conflict of interest is sufficient to warrant his removal, or 2. Find a conflict of interest for Willis and Wade and determine that such conflict is sufficient for their removal but choose not to remove either for purely political reasons 3. Find no conflict of interest for Willis and Wade but remove them for purely political reasons If the conflict of interest is sufficient to warrant his removal from the case, it is sufficient to warrant her removal. The problem here is that the case is highly politicalized and the Judge caved to that political pressure and chose to punt to appeals courts, who will be forced to remove Willis or overturn any guilty verdicts. There was no reason for him to make this decision, other than for political considerations. It doesn't matter whether people think Willis and Wade had a conflict of interest or whether people think Willis and Wade had no conflict of interest. Either way, removing him just for political reasons or keeping her just for political reasons is unacceptable.

  • Wade and Fani lied under oath, it is ridiculous Fani is remaining. The fact that the judge mentions politics in the context of his decision is showing that he is considering politics in his decision. Judge already agrees that, at a minimum, there is an appearance of impropriety by virtue of his ruling to remove the lead prosecutor who is in a relationship with Fani.
