  • I love wagons, and how honest you are with attempting to spend as little as possible. The longer videos are great and the editor is truly a master at picking great content with audio levels everyone can understand. You do not pretend to be Chip Foose or Boyd Coddington you are a family man just trying to make in this world, and try to have a ton of fun along the way. When your whole family gets involved, and pitches in to make something always unique and fun together that makes these vehicles even better and more fun to watch. It takes a lot of guts to do this full time and bet on yourself; I am damn proud of you and support you as I can. You always are able to adapt to any situation, improvise a solution when necessary, and overcome any obstacle in your path. Great video, I am looking forward to the series. Thanks!

    • "Word", like the cool kids said in the '90's... I've got kerosene over 30 years old. Smells a little off - gawd knows what stuff it's collected over the years - but still cleans parts. Diesel is my favorite cleaner now though; impossible to flash off (in my experience), available everywhere, fairly cheap (even after FJB) and leaves a nice kinda WD40-like coating on your metal stuffs to protect from rust.

I still use motor oil and Assembly lube - more motor oil really (especially seating pistons down - how do these guys do that dry?) but not doing so much anymore but bikes and small engines so, who cares?

  • I don't know who needs to hear this but concerning heater cores, CLR works great for clearing them. My XJ's was plugged solid. Took it to the local shop and they tried some kind of acid and it didn't work. Me being cheap didn't want to pay $900 for them to install a core. Me, also trying to get out of ripping the dash apart, thought hey, this stuff works on all sorts of things, worse that happens is it doesn't work. Disconnected the heater hoses at the core, attached clear hoses, started filling to upper hose until it wouldn't take anymore. I angled the other hose upwards so I wouldn't lose any CLR if it started breaking the clog. 3 beers later I saw stuff seeping into the other hose. (About an hour) I let it cook for another 2 beers then put the lower hose into a bucket. I blew into the upper hose with a air nozzle (set at about 5 psi) and a big glob of junk came out then the CLR flowed. Rinsed system with hot water, put more CLR in, let it cook overnight. (I was 10 beers in by this point so it was sandwich time) Flushed more crap out the next day, rinsed with hot water, done. Had heat again. So yeah, maybe give Calcium Lime Rust remover a try. Save some $. (I really think adult beverages are key in the process.)

  • Ill take longer videos and more of the same car over and over showing us all the ways of fixing things over quick flips and flyby content any day. Im a car nut and love watching and learning. Ive just picked up a '48 Chrysler Windsor and watching your videos has given me hope on one day driving it cheaply till i can afford more tools to restore it

  • For the record I prefer longer format videos! I’m not a fan of the short format culture that’s being pushed so hard these days, I feel like it’s giving everyone ADHD. 🙃🐿️ I love the wagon, it gonna be sick! You also scored big time with the parts car, what a deal!

Excited to see it running, and excited for the Galveston trip..... Makes for a great video series! Great vid, brother! All A+++++
