I love how Sakamoto is literally the perfect example of what everyone pictures a main protagonist should be.

So a theory i remembered about sakamoto is that he has a serious medical condition. Sakamoto spent most of his early life in hospitals (explaining why he had a very limited understanding of normal life). Knowing he has a year left in japan (due to needing to move to america for better treatment, or actually dying), Sakamoto spends his last year to the fullest and does this by helping as many people as he can and trying all kinds of new experiences. However, his looming fate tends to make him reckless and care little for his own safety
This is the MC we all need. He isn’t boring and he has a confident yet humble personality. It’s refreshing to see in anime

Sakamoto weirdly reminds me of komi and I don’t know why, like they’re total opposites but I can’t help but be reminded of komi when seeing him. I think it’s because of their theme where all of their classmates admire both of them and a very small and few group of that people try and be better then them, but fail miserably.

Fun fact sakamoto left cause he was terminally ill and he was going to die and indeed dies he wanted to help everyone before his death we know that because we can see him inside a locker with his hands crossed in the last chapter like a coffin and the reason why he knew about the changes in the nurses office was because he was there so often you can find more accurate info in 9 anime in the comments of the last episode

This man is perfect, he's nice, smart, and stylish and even more. Watching this recap kinda warmed my heart, the ending was heartwarming for me
