Penguins will need some help with a win tonight against the Preds
The Pittsburgh Penguins lost their chance to control their own destiny on Saturday and they'll now need to win out, plus get some help if they want to make the playoffs. This is the second season in a row that the Pens have squandered points during the 82 games. A couple of wins in Dec, Jan, Feb they would be in. The team really needs to win out for Sid period and see where they end up. Been blessed to watch him for almost 2 decades. Great job guys. 👏
We will be holding onto our butts tonight again haha Ned is probably gassed a little. Jarry was cold and it showed but they maybe should've started him earlier, but the Pens forgot to play defense so maybe there wouldn't have been an impact on the outcome. DOC is starting to look like a legit top-6 forward, and it appears Bunting has really lifted Malkin. What an add! The way they've handled Pulijiarvi again baffles me...why is he being benched for Zohorna?

When you score 4 goals against one of the best teams and goalie in the league, you should win. We have to be way better defensively and in the net. Also; imagine if DOC was on Sid’s line all year? He would easily have 25 goals this year. The kid is just so good. That shorty was freaking amazing.
He was terrible early in the year yet has grown so much. I'm astonished at his development & so glad I was wrong about DOC.

@@johnnythunder196 I have been saying since last year that he had so much untapped potential. I loved his speed, his size, and he had really soft hands too. I had a feeling if he would get his chance on the top two lines he would really show what he’s capable of, and I’m loving his game now! So excited for next year for him. I hope he continues to get to play on the top two lines.
I thought jarry should have started as well Pat. Either way, doc has been awesome. This kid wants it, we need more players like him for next season.

If the Pens win and Wings and the Caps lose, then an Islanders win is better. But if the Wings win their game, then the Islanders with a loss is better.
Is this a season that you decided to fire Sullivan or do you blame the players solely and let Mike have one more season to try to turn this around?
Sullivan already lost me a while ago but he's just gonna lose me even more if he puts Jansen Harkins right back in the lineup tonight. Also the fact that Ned is starting yet again tonight is pretty telling...Sullivan doesn't have any faith in Jarry at all.
Hopefully the Preds rest their goalie and some talented starters like Josi or Forsberg since it is their final game of the year. Let's hope the Bruins beat the Caps and the Red Wings lose to the Habs. The Pens must win. If the Islanders can clinch with a win and some losses maybe they will rest players in the final game vs the Pens. Tonight will be very interesting.
I'm rooting for the Isles in reg to lose because then we are in if we win the last 2 games (and beat Isles in reg)...would prefer to put fate in our hands

See, for me, I am rooting for New Jersey and Boston. I'd rather give ourselves a chance to prove ourselves than hope for Montreal to beat Detroit.

I wouldn't root for the Islanders tonight ... if the Islanders lose in regulation in NJ tonight, and the Pens win tonight, then the Pens can catch the Isles on Wednesday with a regulation win. Then the Pens would only need one of Detroit or Washington to lose one, not both. This is of course reliant on the Pens winning both their remaining games, but that has to happen regardless.
That’s also true, I was just looking at it from the perspective of the Islanders not having anything to play for on Wednesday if they do win tonight.
With the above scenario, you just need Washington to lose one. Don't even need Detroit to lose since they aren't in the metro and can't compete for the 3rd spot in Metro.
