  • When I was a child from the age of 8 years old up I had abusive teachers calling me thick, stupid, been made to stand on a chair with a dunce hat on, been beaten by a teacher for absolutely nothing apart from not understanding maths, my father was dying so mum had a lot on, which left me with no one to turn too. I’m 59 now and there’s never a day goes by where I call myself thick, weak, stupid. It feels like I have wounds that will not or ever heal. My mind is somewhere where you do not want to be and it crawls in, I know that someday I will take my life, I don’t want to die but I know the only way to find peace is through silencing of the mind and I welcome that like greeting a long lost best friend.

  • David, I believe my inner child 'froze' when I accepted a specific religious, (not spiritual) teaching. I believe I am in the midst of defrosting and I thank you both so much. I am on the Facebook page, but this spot was the place to post. Thank you both ❤

  • 🀄👍 Hi, great, thanks. Yes, like a fish who asks " What is this Water they all talk about? ". It can be answered, that the eternal spirit supports all things, when fish swim in aware and accepting harmony, the whole ocean thrives.

    • Hi @TimCCambridge, Thank you for your thoughtful reflection. Your analogy beautifully illustrates how being in harmony with our surroundings and our inner selves enhances not only our own well-being but also contributes to the thriving of the whole. Your insight into the eternal spirit, or what we refer to as the Shen spirit, aligning with the essence of Wu Wei, is profound. It's about flowing with life, being present, and accepting, much like the fish in water. It's wonderful to have you as an active member of our community, sharing and exploring these deep concepts together. Kind Regards, David

    • Hi @mariagunnarsson1892, Thank you for reaching out with your enthusiasm to practice and work with your inner child using the golden thread method. I understand the challenge of navigating through a plethora of information and the desire for a straightforward path to practice. I recommend visiting our official KZhead channel home page, where we aim to organise our resources effectively. Look for a section dedicated to meditations or the golden thread technique. Often, these platforms will have playlists or categories that can help you filter the content to find exactly what you're looking for-just the meditations, without additional discussions or introductions. If you're finding it overwhelming with the amount of information online, consider creating a personal playlist or a bookmark folder on your browser where you can save the direct links to the meditations you find most beneficial. This way, you can return to them easily whenever you wish to practice. Your dedication to working with your inner child is commendable, and I'm here to support you in finding the resources you need to make your practice fruitful and calming. Kind Regards, David

  • I had a near drowning incident when i was 6 seems the shock. Fear grief from that incident got stuck in my psyche and i have thede feelings especially grief time to time come to surface and making me vulnerable...when i am resolving it fully experiencing it making these feelings friendly to me i am getting relief and peace....does it go along with wu wei wisdom philosophy??

    @khansherani@khansheraniАй бұрын
    • Hi @khansherani, Absolutely, your process aligns with the Wu Wei wisdom philosophy. By facing and accepting your feelings, you're practising the art of non-resistance, a core aspect of Wu Wei. This approach of making your feelings 'friendly' and not fighting against them allows for a natural flow of resolving issues, leading to peace and relief. Your journey of embracing and understanding your emotions is a powerful testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. Keep nurturing this connection with yourself, and remember, you're not alone on this journey. Kind Regards, David.

  • Thank you...I feel enadequte at age 66...ive been to councelling and and feel more calm but my pendelum is constantly swinging...any advice?

    @joanryan2242@joanryan2242Ай бұрын
    • Hi, Thank you for sharing your feelings openly. It's important to acknowledge that feeling a sense of inadequacy at any age is a common human experience, and seeking counselling is a brave step toward understanding and resolving these feelings. The image of a swinging pendulum is powerful, symbolizing the natural ebb and flow of our emotions and states of mind. One piece of advice is to understand and accept that you are creating these emotions from a belief you hold. Embrace this movement, understanding that it's part of being human, and focus on grounding practices of finding and changing those beliefs; we call this process the Golden Thread Process. Meditation, mindfulness, and continued engagement with counselling can help stabilise the pendulum over time. Also, remember that self-compassion is critical. Acknowledge your progress and the calmness you've achieved, and give yourself permission to be in the process. If you haven't already, consider joining supportive communities where you can share your experiences and learn from others. Our FREE Wu Wei Wisdom community (facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/) could be a valuable space for you to connect with like-minded individuals. Always remember that you are not alone in this journey, and it's never too late to find a more profound sense of peace and balance. Kind Regards, David

  • “Why Your Inner Child is Fearful and Scared” “He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.” Laozi Definitions: Inner Child - the subconscious mind or ego that developed in childhood roughly between the ages of 6-9 years old. The Vow - a faulty declaration that the child internalizes, “There’s something wrong with me.” Emotional Pendulum- emotional swing from negative thoughts such as, “I am not good enough,” to overperformance expectations such as, “I have to be perfect; I have to be better than others.” Event(s) happened in your childhood, generally between the ages of 6-9 that you could not understand or find a resolution for. So, the child indoctrinates “the vow” - the problem(s) are because of them, something is wrong with them. The vow morphs into the three beliefs: 1. I’m not good enough 2. I can’t cope. 3. I’m not lovable/worthy. Wu Wei Wisdom's core belief: You are the creator of your emotions. You are not the victim of your emotions. Your feelings are coming from a belief or perception you have internalized. Red light feelings such as guilt, fear, insecurity, or anxiety are a result of the child’s trauma experiences or challenges they may have experienced in their childhood that were not acknowledged, supported, or resolved. As an adult, these false beliefs are what are defining your perception of life. “The kernel in the nut,” - the most essential part of an idea or experience. Red light emotions are intense and powerful but they are the result of your frozen beliefs from childhood. They don’t just come from out of the blue. The inner child can be lost in certain areas of life such as relationships or careers. The I.C. will use emotions to attract or repel attention. It is imperative not to chastise the I.C. The adult part of you must show up and support the needs of the I.C. Every time the I.C. experiences red-light feelings and the adult self doesn’t show up and support them, the I.C. loses trust in the adult self. This will inflame the I.C. even more. You have to be the parent you didn’t have as a child. Trusting and believing in yourself is paramount to a fulfilled life.

    • Hi @susan9396, Thank you for sharing such an insightful summary of the concepts around the inner child. You've beautifully articulated the journey from recognising the vows and beliefs formed in childhood to understanding their impact on our adult lives. It's a profound step to acknowledge these aspects and begin the process of supporting and integrating the inner child with compassion and wisdom. Remember, you have the strength and awareness to reshape those beliefs and create a harmonious balance within. If you're seeking further discussion or want to share your journey with others, our FREE Wu Wei Wisdom community is a welcoming space: facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/. Kind Regards, David
