I have the same oil leak on my ‘23 Palisade. It looks like it’s coming from the gasket. I’m going to mention it to the dealer next time I take it in. I don’t think it’s normal for a new car. I only have 11,500 miles on it.
The oil leak was from the oil switch and they replaced it under warranty.
@@SC-xk6uk the dealer just told me it was from the crush washer. I’m not sure I believe them but I guess time will tell. I’ll check it in a few thousand miles and see if it comes back.
Any update? Was it the crush washer or oil switch like the other person commenting?
@@edwardaustin9046 so far it hasn’t shown signs of leakage since replacing the crush washer. However it’s only been a month and a few hundred miles. I’m going to keep watching it. I’ll let you know if it comes back
Don't ever use after market oil filters on Hyundai/Kia. These engines don't like after market oil filters. They can actually deny 10 year/ 100k powertrain warranty if you do so. Oil flow rate is really important for these engines longevity. Trust me. I have owned 4 Hyundai/Kia cars and SUVs
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep that in mind for the next oil change. Hyundai recommend 8k miles oil change and I’m doing it at 5k miles. I’m worried the 8k oil change they recommended than the oil filter I’m using.
@@SC-xk6uk8k oil change is fine if using full synthetic. If you see it dark enough then I would change it earlier.
