I wanted to put this cabinet in my office but didn't want it to be brown. The cost of a new one is high so I decided to repaint it.

Thanks for adding how you removed the drawer hardware (specifically the name plate) that is what i was searching for. Result looks great.
Nice result, well done. Sure beats spending 200$ on a new cabinet!
Hi Adam, greetings from Northern England. I have two sets of four-drawer cabinets I want to paint. Can you advise me please how many cans of spray paint I shall need? Thank you.
I believe I used two can
@@torchman7504 Thank You Adam
I know this is an old project but I was wandering what kind of sandpaper you used on the old file cabinet.
I believe I used a Scotch Brite pad.
@@torchman7504 Thank you for responding. I can't believe that a Scotch Brite pad is tough enough to dull the ancient shiny enamel paint on my Steel Case cabinet to the point that the new paint will adhere to it. Have you had any adhesion issues? I know I could use stripper but I rather not. Thanks again.
@@LDJones99 no not at all. I was a little worried about that. But we have it in our office and it still looks great. I am not a huge fan of painting things because it always seem to fail. But I am happy with this.
Perhaps I missed it, but what paint did you use?
Dustin Figenscher I used Rustoleum 2x black gloss.
