I'm a Jordanian living abroad , thank you for documenting and showing one of the beautiful places of my home country. I miss it so much , but the country is experiencing a lot of problems at the moment.
It's stunning. It's on my bucket list, I hope I may tick it off one day.
Exquisite country. I hope your problems are resolved quickly, I would be devastated to see it ruined by fighting or government. I've always visited ancient countries, I'm a history fan and Jordan always seemed safe for me to visit.
I hope you can return to your homeland one day in peace
WELL , There’s not a country in the entire W🌍RLD right now that is NOT Experiencing many different problems at the moment !!!
@@honeybunch5765 ja byłam i potwierdzam cudne miejsce.
I am from the UK, I visited Jordan in 1984 the same year our Queen visited and I though Amman and Petra was fantastic I have been all over the world but Jordan and Petra stay in my mind, I love History and Geography.
The first time I saw images of Petra as a child in the late 70s/early 80s, I was amazed and obsessed. I would so love to see this one day.

I KNOW HOUW THEY MADE THE BUILDINGS, YOU WANT TO KNOW?
@@nickvanr.8584 No.
@@allwillberevealed777 why not, is very simple,
I wish it for you because it is beyond spectacular, beyond any expectations I had. Petra is worthy of all the accolades it gets. Four years later I still get shivers looking at my pictures and can't believe my luck!
I would love to visit Jordan one day and Petra. I’ve seen many videos about this amazing country and place.
I was in Petra in 2019. What an outstanding experience!
Welcome 🎉
I visited Petra , and since I have had countless questions . This documentary is a stunner. Thank you, Jacques Vichet and everyone associated with this project! Your video is going to make me support KZhead even more! One a personal note, I found the Jordanian people to be extremely gracious and hospitable. Especially the Bedouins, who invited my husband and I into their home at Petra site, to serve us tea and cigarettes. Will always remember this man, and his lovely wife and daughters. Even his donkey seems welcoming. Our host sent his daughter out to buy sugar for our tea
Beautiful place with lots and lots of interesting and amazing history. Was there in 2019 and would like to go back soon. The people are very honest and generous. I loved Wadi Mussa
If I'm not mistaken you were near the true mount sinai ... Must've been amazing
Was there a month ago… stunning place
How were the women?
I'm from Jordan. Been to Petra once. I was gobsmacked by its awe-inspiring facades and majestic sculptures. I hope our corrupt regime doesn't sell Petra to a French or German or Chinese company, like they've sold everything else we have.
I hear you. No. It will not happen because I think Petra is under the protection of the UNESCO, although I confess I have not verified that.
Yes, it is said in the video. It was placed under the protection of the UNESCO in December 6, 1985. In 1993, it became a national park.
It used to be if the French or German got a historic site, they would take the utmost care of it. But those nations are flooded with migrants, subjugated by zionist puppets, and too woke to think straight, so you never know what they may do these days.
the regime is an extension of the people. if the regime is corrupt, it means the people are corrupt.
What a. Atmosphere, music is perfect, tourists can wander freely, and I easily see in my mind the people who lived there. Fabulous and huge thanks
Hvala ! Dejan Misic
I’m fortunate in having been able to visit Jordan in 1988. The landscape and people were welcoming and informative. Thank you for this
I've visited it back in 2019 without knowing much about it and I'm so grateful I found those cheap tickets and been there because you can actually feel the vibrations and the magnitude of the place. It's really a holy place and deserves much more respect than what we can imagine. We have a lot to learn from these old civilizations. Watching this documentary now brings me good memmories and good reflections. Thank you!
Meu Deus ! Como eu gosto de as histórias desse lugar. É muito bonito!!
Had the pleasure of visiting your beautiful country as part of the Holy Land tour in 2018. Unfortunately we could not visit Petra. Maybe some time in the future we will have the pleasure of doing so, God willing😊
Thankyu for subtittle.. send love from indonesia

I just came back from Petra and this documentary is super informative! I learnt a lot while traveling there and now watching this documentary is even more impressed by this wonder! I suggest that people should watch this documentary before they travel to Petra.
well documented and well explained by a knowledgeful person. Thanks
Excellent, to think Petra was carved out of the rock. So beautiful.
Right? That blew my mind.
Thats why its called Petra. Derived from the Greek meaning "Rock"
I have been in Jordan. Beautiful country, and the best French fries and hamburger I ever had, believe it or not 😂
Lol love it, you remember the place you got the burgers from?

I am fascinated. Doing more research on Petra. The French speaking man sure can go on with varying possibilities of the history of Petra.
Merveilleuse video. Thank you so much! It is fantastic!
Una ciudad que siempre he querdio conocer
Ivisited the Petra in 1987 during my work at jordan electricity authority, Aqaba. It is wonderful
i did an overnight visit to Petra over a decade ago, spectacular fascinating place. Did the Wadi Run too, another experience. The documentary shows i missed very many interesting things on that short visit. Many thanks for this very interesting documentary.
me too. Wadi Rum to Aqaba on a camel I named Ibn Al gahaba.
It really seem very hard or difficult to live there because it seem not much food to grow in the mountain. God bless all of us.
It's amazing your video is Best Documentary, so we can witness the history of Jordan, as knowledge and education for the current generation about the past, Iloveyou ❤️ keep you successful,Wasallam wartiko 💅

Amazing video !!! Petra is a greek word ...Πέτρα. It is engraved on the stones greek writing. I can read it ........ΑΒΔΟΑ....ΙΗΑ...
The Byzantine Romans took control of it, and there is a Byzantine church inside, but what happened after that and how it became deserted, no one knows.
just call them Romans, the word Byzantine is made up@@foulshoul2592
I was there back in the late 70’s. I think there were about 8 people there that day. I’m amazed at how built-up it is now! 😳
Really Best Documentary.
Thank you for this documentary, i saw it on other tours but not this in - depth. This just reminds me of the wonder the Creator King, God Almighty.
No doubt a great series of ancient world History
Who wrote the wonderful music that is being used here ? Thanks !

Petra always reminded me of the word petrified. Maybe a city destroyed and petrified and only imprints left for us to see now.

What a treat ! I must ask , is there a Valley of the Crescent Moon ? Or is that a cinematic myth ? Anyway , I thought this was intriguing.
Oh I love some of the photographs of Patra that I have.. I can look at him with magnifying glasses and see all the stuff from an ancient civilization heaped up into big piles and petrified in two giant rocks of rubble
Thank You..
Simplesmente maravilhoso. Obrigado.
Maravilloso el documental. Engrandese a KZhead. Gracias...
Pounding stones. Common technology used by hitting stone with harder stone. Repeatedly you carved it away slowly.
@@chrissyclark7836 ... Doubt it very much, they had ancient technology. Petra is much older than they say it is.
Beautifull places!!...but it is heartbroken the way they treat the animals in Petra...the poor donkeys and horses are running up and down for the whole day transferring people from one side to the other without stopping. They also getting tired and thirsty, and I hope somebody will take it up with government...
Exactly, unreal, give the animals a break 🥺
Yes, they should only work 4hs and be rotated. I saw the same thing when I visited Santorini Greece. Poor donkeys going up the side of the steep mountain all day in the heat. So cruel.
@@louise7552 yes, I am from Soufh Africa, I visit Petra four times, and it was heartbroken to see that poor animals working so hard, and even when they slow down a bit, the boss of that animal hid them with a stick or rope, it is all about money...somebody must do something about this situation....
@@sandrapotgieter7488 maybe we can write to peta or the rspca or what ever they have there. My friends husband Omar is Jordanian, I'll ask him. He's really cool.
