So amazing!!!! mid video I started grabbing stuff out of hubbies closet and holding it up to him.. "stay or go" (he's still in the "i may need that" mentality, we're working on it) but he let go of about 15 items. So proud! After watching your video I went into my closet and pulled everything out and threw them on the bed. I tried on everything and I’m donating 6 bags of clothes that doesn’t fit, no longer want or there just worn out. I only have 14 dresses left, and 20 shirts left. Still have to go through all my pants. It feels so good to get rid of things I can’t wear. I can’t believe all the clothes I’ve accumulated.
Always such a motivational channel to get rid of all that “Just in Case Stuff” we seem to all hold on to! ❤ when you team up with your mom, you two never fail to make me laugh and just brighten my day!
Girls, you're SO motivating! This video gave me guts to throw out that silly crystal bowl that eats my cupboard space but has never been used in... 30 years or so. Why didn't I do it earlier?

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't care for a backpack as an everyday bag. Me, backpacks are for kids. I'm a grown woman and I want a purse, and that purse must have an outside pocket for my keys/phone/lipgloss or it stays at the store.
The idea of revisiting spaces you’ve previously cleaned makes me think of “gleaning.” Many years ago I was picking raspberries for a family member and once I’d been down the row I doubled back and picked berries that looked ripe that I had missed. The relative told me that they aren’t really ripe they just look like it now that the ripe ones are gone. Though that strategy might not work for picking berries, it seems to work in declutterring. Love you guys, you are so fun. ❤

I love these videos every month! I’ve been tallying everything that has been decluttered in my house this year. So far 159 items have left in only two weeks! Clearly we aren’t minimalists, but we are on our way. Thanks for your motivational content, as always. 💜

Thank you for giving reasons for the items you are decluttering; you both remind me of items that I should also go through in my own home. Please tell your mom that the colors in her scarf look quite pretty on her. From previous videos I know that she does not typically wear scarves, so I wanted to send along a compliment. And whether planned or not, your outfits both coordinated so beautifully. Thanks for yet another interesting video, Shannon.
Shannon and Kathy, I just LOVE your videos. You both make me smile and inspire me to declutter. I am a new subscriber and am thrilled when a new video pops up! I think I have gone through and watched all of your videos at least twice. Thank you for making the decluttering process easier and less stressful. I started this journey when I started trying to help my mother clean out her clothes closet, dishes, and knick knacks. It is still very difficult for her to let go of things and I may never reach the point that I would like her to be at when it comes to all her stuff but I am taking baby steps to make sure she doesn't get upset. One of her problems is the "just in case" idea and she has kept things that she wanted her grandkids to have, which they do NOT want. Times have changed....no interest in china dishes or knick knacks. But my mom just can't bring herself to donate the items that no one wants. Helping her has motivated me to declutter and streamline my own things in my home. I am glad I found you, and a few other influencers, to motivate me as I clean out my own home and slowly help my mom through this process. THANK YOU!

This motivates me to declutter yet again! I’m overwhelmed with “cool clutter” that is so hard to get rid of…also sentimental or family items are tough to get rid of… or things that have value that have no sentiment but you don’t have the energy to sell them! I miss eBay consignment stores lol

I enjoy your videos so much, I've been seriously decluttering for years and am now a cozy minimalist, but as i change and things change I can always find this or that needing an exit. I was close with my mom too and enjoy watching you with your mom.

The dish can also be used for paper clips, loose change, keys, cotton rounds, etc 😊. I'm sure even if it is donated someone will appreciate it 😊. ❤ the video.

I ended up throwing out .recycling a garbage bag and half of items , filled one donation box and one box for my mom- whew do I feel good.
Good for you. Every time I've saved clothes because they might fit "one day," I've never wound up using them again, and always give them away. I need to do it the minute I realize they don't fit anymore , large or small. But I sure hope you kept those HULA SKIRTS!!!! 🙂

Love your videos Shannon. Been watching your older videos too. Have finally gotten the last donation bags and rubbish bags declutter out of the house over the weekend. It feels so good having decluttered 2023 and now we just have what we truly want, need and value. The decluttering process has saved us money, made us more mindful what we spend and tidying up the house is a breeze now. Like you do I'll make sure to always keep a check on any clutter that comes into the house and stay on top of that. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 😊

STOPPP!!!! You two are painters...so am I. Don't get rid of that devil egg plate. I have one that is white and I use it to mix my watercolors on. I put the paint blob at the top and still have mixing room. The clean water can sit in the center too. It has become my favorite pallet. Try it at least once before you get rid of it. I enjoy your videos when both of you are on. Always a few laughs. I am closer to mom's age and I can understand why she held on to much. I am working on the process too!!! Closets and drawers first!!! I am surprising myself of the clothes I am letting go of ...even though I know I will never wear again. .....and some I NEVER should have bought. Yes! on the decluttering but I do like a decorated home and I am NOT going to live with echos!!! Give the egg plate at least a one shot before you get rid of it!!! Keep up the fun videos!!!

I've gotten rid of sweaters like new because I am not a sweater wearer; why did I buy them then ? Sometimes you have to let go and realize who you are. I also wait about a yr before ridding myself of things, just as a caution against making a rash decision. But usually, I'm right when I put things in the 'to get rid of box'.

Love the series, thank you for sharing that! This year I’m focused on decluttering. With having a 4yo and 1yo twins, don’t have too much time, but I manage to find 10 min every day to declutter a small space and get rid of things
10 min a day will add up -- and make life with the kids easier in the long run! ❤

Haven't found much to say goodbye to. Finally took a bag and box of stuff to the thrift store that lives on my porch and had been there for a few months. Husbands torn work coat, worn out socks as we got more for Christmas, worn out gloves, etc. Regifted a bunch of things at Christmas I never used.

The fancy Limoges serving piece is cool, but I realized that even for Christmas and Easter we just use Corning ware or Pyrex or other practical oven-to-table stuff. I am NEVER a fancy enough hostess for that kind of thing, and it’s ok!
