In this video we have three tips for jumping an landing tricks on a snowboard. The first tip is to use your snowboard to pop yourself into the air. This will give you more time in the air to get grab and tricks down. The next tip is to take off from jumps with your snowboard on a slight toe edge. By being on a slight toe edge you'll feel more balanced and in control in the air. The third tip is to use the tail of your snowboard like a landing gear. I’m in my second season of snowboarding, but I only go about a week a year. This year I’m trying jumps and I think so far my experience wakeboarding has helped a lot with my control off of jumps and such

Not having a skating background, I found myself ollieing or even popping off from my heels caused me to be really unbalanced, so pushing from the ball of my foot, so leaning slightly on my toe side, helped a lot.

The landing gear tip is really good I’ve been riding a long time but not proficient in the park Ive been skateboarding for 16 years so I naturally want to land bolts both feet at the same time so this should really help me this year with the sketchy landings 👌🤙

Hey Kevin. I have a question regarding the jumping. I am 1.72m and my board is 157cm 25cm wide , is it good for jumps? Or i need something shorter for better control? Thanks and keep it up.
does a camber board also give you more pop/height if u just pop up instead of ollying?
I know what he meant by the jumping high part. I can't descibe how it's done, but it's just the feeling of the momentum when you jump. Even when not snowboarding, I've been told many times that I jump VERY high, it's all about feeling the momentum

With the jumps do you push off of the lip? Or do you just let the lip launch you. Or should I be loading up the tail to pop off the lip?

Whenever I go off a jump I try to keep more pressure on my toes, but without actually leaning or tilting the board
