this game is underrated. it's amazing -the bosses were done greatly -great story -awesome gameplay -cool combat system -variaties in combat, web swinging and stuff -awesome soundtrack -the game allows you to play as venom, not only freeroam but venom has his own missions -for a very old game the graphics were good, cartoony but good and alot of stuff

The first time I played as VENOM I was like holy shit, I am a MONSTER and no one can stop me. Then I just went on a rampage eating/absorbing people 😂. It was too much fun.

I remember Venom's spine breaker move in this game being exceptionally brutal.
First time I saw it it felt painful, but the sound that spine did made me laugh at the same time

Having Spider-Man and Venom act as attracting forces that can’t escape each other was a very clever thing to incorporate within the gameplay. We need more games where we can play as venom with a completely different play style to spidey

When thinking back to the game, I always remember the struggle against Green Goblin. Damn, that guy was a pain as a kid.

Yeah, I got so mad at him every time I fought him. Didn't even have a memory card back then so after beating him I had to do it again the next day lol. Thankfully I had Limited Edition of the game so there was a developer clip about how to beat each boss. Although my english wasn't that good back then, I very quickly realized why the developer kept throwing cars at billboards and at Electro. Oh man, good times.

This was such a cool, stylized take on Spider-Man. I really loved the art direction behind this game. Such a gem of the mid 2000’s
Fighting Venom when Peter was having those headache was the most irritating thing in this game. I died so many times when I played that part way back.

I didn't play the game properly when I was younger and listen to the instructions correctly like holding the jump butter makes you jump high which was helpful in dodging Rhino's attacks. Like I played it again recently, it managed to beat Rhino with no problem. I guess it's when you learn all his moves and when he does them. But I think Green Goblin takes the cake for being the most frustrating and difficult fight.

This video made me realize how little I played the story of this game. I just liked to swing around and jump from the biggest buildings into the water. The only boss I fought was the first venom

That fight with Venom is one of my favorite final bosses ever.
It was amazing how good it was and how it actually needed skill not just dodging and spamming combos you needed to pay attention to the fire under you and to venom's movements and all of that. Perfection

As a kid this game broke during the green goblin fight where at the second stage he would vanish with no way of defeat him or escape the room. This game breaking bug never got fixed no matter how many time me or my brothers restarted the game

There were lots of bosses, there was Kingpin, Taskmaster, Tombstone, Shocker, the Vulture & Electro, Scorpion & the Rhino, Mr. Negative, Doctor Octopus, Silver Sable, & Hammerhead
@@mastagamazero4358 Let me rephrase: The boss fights that are there aren't long enough. Tombstone and shocker were pretty good, but the rest ended in less than 5 minutes. In Ultimate or Arkham the fights felt bigger. I just did Mr. Freeze NG+ on Arkham City and that fight lasted like 15 minutes.
My favorite Spiderman games are (not in specific order) Ultimate Spiderman, Web Of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions and PS4 and if I'm being honest, PS4 has the worst boss fight by far

I could never beat goblin. Eventually I gave up, waited a whole year, played the game, and finally beat him. Then I was able to enjoy the game lol
You didn't include Venom vs Silver Sable. It's after Spider-Man vs Beetle and before Spider-Man vs Goblin. And you didn't include the Shocker battle either. But leaving that one out was understandable though. Super easy fight!

I was, free roam with him after beating the game was the perfect prize, and not just the incomplete Venom, but the final boss Venom with the spider logo on his chest and back. I remember this glitch where you can toss vehicles around without alerting the police and the SHIELD agents when you switch him out with Spider-Man, i always do that just for fun. So many cars destroyed.
