Tanks’s talents, abilities and skills are under appreciated and a bit underrated in a way. His popularity over shadow his abilities and fans understandably want to see him in super bouts. But nonetheless Martin will be a tough test for him and a difficult fight.

@@quonjulio1014 I agree, which is why I agree Tank skillset is underrated. However, it would be rather silly to think Tanks power doesn't play a major part in him being able to wait on a mistake. Tank is just a puncher, but he does have actually boxing skills. Tank has a good boxing IQ, but relies heavily on his athleticism defensively. Tank doesn't have a great jab. Tank is twitchy and patient. Take Crawford who has all those attributes, but he isn't losing fights when he eventually stops a guy. Tank has been in situations where he needs to ko the other fighter as the fight is extremely close

Tank is definitely more skilled then he gets credit for. He beats everyone 140 and under, with the exception of maybe Haney. Shakur has shown he fights scared against guys with power, he has the skills but I don’t think he can mentally handle Tanks pressures when he turns it up. Haney can get a decision win, but he has to fight a flawless fight to beat tank. Can he?

I don't think Tank is underrated personally, but it prolly depends on what rating system you going off of. He's the biggest financial draw in his weight range and his resume is not that bad. I personally like Teofimo's and Haney's resume more, but Tank's resume ain't bad. I know Boots prolly talking from a technical perspective, but it's not like you hear Tank's peers saying he can't box, most of them give him his props skills wise I feel. The casuals know he like that too. End of the day won't really know if he's underrated until he gets in there with the best of the best. If he was to smoke Frank Martin, then smoke Shakur definitively, then at that point I would say yeah to some degree at least I can personally say I had him underrated. But if we ain't seeing the fights where his abilities are really getting tested, how can we truly know if he underrated or not? Its all a guessing game to me. That's like whatever ratings you had prior spence vs crawford, there's a strong chance either someone changed to either overrated or underrated based on the performance of that fight.
Tank resume isn't good at all considering he's 30 years old now and his skillset is most definitely underrated. Fighters, trainers and actual fans that know boxing beyond just watching it for entertainment say it all the time
