All of the sudden comedians and comedy shows are supposed to adhere to cultural fixation, jokes can be made about anything because thats what they are. Just jokes. If someones intention is malicious, they arent making a joke. They are just disguising hatred as a joke. But shows like Family guy have nothing against any type of people, doesnt mean they cant joke and "gEnErAlIzE" to make jokes in a relative way that can be universally understood. If you dont like the joke, thats okay, humor is subjective, but dont try and act like certain humor is okay and certain humor isnt. Funny is funny, and its called a SENSE of humor because people can SENSE something is funny and be totally wrong, so someone can have a bad sense of humor, but a joke is a joke and told by the right person in the right way, ANYTHING can be a funny joke. Anything.

What bothers me is people may read your comment and think "ugh yes, so sick of comedians generalizing whole groups of people its so offensive" when the idea of comedy itself is practically based in generalization due to the fact its told to an audience of all types of people with all different types of senses of humor and your job is to make them all relate enough to laugh together, and since you singled out Family Guy specifically it seemed as if you were saying its not a comedy thing, its specifically a Family Guy thing.

I loved playing parachute when I was in elementary school. There was even a version of it where a kid gets underneath it and pretends to be a "shark". There was also 2 kids who got to be "lifeguards" and their job was to save other kids from the "shark".
