Genius job by Hall to give Pasta the third one. Skated hard to make it to the goal, pulled two defensemen to him to create space to Pasta and to create a screen so the goalie couldn't see and lastly opening the gap for the puck to go through. And nicely got rewardid with empty netter in the end.

@@CB0915 It’s that Phil Kessel thing. Let them play a secondary scoring role and they’ll freely perform in areas other than their strengths. Hall has been a grinder, playmaker and sniper. Kessel on Pens actually created and maintained a flow for his line which hadn’t been his thing since his draft years.

sorokin a game changer for the islanders.. brilliant performance.. if the islanders defense can keep their feet moving in their own zone instead of watching the puck as much I'd say the series can go on longer than expected. that being said. Just remember though, it was those key deadline moves that won us the cup in 2011, and also don’t forget that krejci has been sitting dormant since 2014. Can’t wait but I’m cautiously optimistic.

I was shocked at how easily boston got through the neutral zone tonight. Idk if its because the bruins had been so used to dealing with the caps 1-3-1 zone that it made them better, or if the Islanders never needed to play their best against Pittsburgh due to the pens sloppiness. I was surprised at how badly the Bruins took it to the Isles tonight. With some puck luck the bruins could have easily won by 5 or 6 goals.

Genius job by Hall to give Pasta the third one. Skated hard to make it to the goal, pulled two defensemen to him to create space to Pasta and to create a screen so the goalie couldn't see and lastly opening the gap for the puck to go through. And nicely got rewardid with empty netter in the end.
Hall crashes the net and and creates scoring chances.
when he's motivated he's an absolute beast
Hall has grown as a player. Remember when his rookie scouting report stated that he had a tendency to be selfish? Well, Taylor has certainly improved on that end.

Pasta is a player that feeds off of the energy of the fans. This one game compared to the entire caps series, the difference is incredible.
He was missing that roaring explosion everytime he hits the back of the net.
I haven't played hockey in a long time but facing Boston must be a scary experience for anyone. You can't sleep on the ice with any of these guys. They are dialed in and ruthless.

@@CB0915 It’s that Phil Kessel thing. Let them play a secondary scoring role and they’ll freely perform in areas other than their strengths. Hall has been a grinder, playmaker and sniper. Kessel on Pens actually created and maintained a flow for his line which hadn’t been his thing since his draft years.

Great way to open the series for the Bruins, Pastrnak hatty, Tuukka great performance against one of the best playoffs teams in the NHL, all in a loaded arena.
Rask seemed a bit shaky at times, at one point 2 goals on 12 shots, but he did shut the door after that.

@@bearforce187 X goals with Y amount of shots means literally nothing in terms of how a goalies playing. A goalie could give up 2 goals on 12 shots and be playing great, or a goalie could give up 2 goals on 12 shots and be playing absolutely horrible. Its all about quality of shots/saves

We're probably gonna make the final 4 or maybe even the cup final, then Rask will decide to take a night or two off and the top line will go silent and we'll lose to a team with depth and/or not-streaky goaltending. Every single time this happens

sorokin a game changer for the islanders.. brilliant performance.. if the islanders defense can keep their feet moving in their own zone instead of watching the puck as much I'd say the series can go on longer than expected. that being said. Bruins put on a masterclass in puck movement and physicality

Just remember though, it was those key deadline moves that won us the cup in 2011, and also don’t forget that krejci has been sitting dormant since 2014. Can’t wait but I’m cautiously optimistic.

I was shocked at how easily boston got through the neutral zone tonight. Idk if its because the bruins had been so used to dealing with the caps 1-3-1 zone that it made them better, or if the Islanders never needed to play their best against Pittsburgh due to the pens sloppiness. I was surprised at how badly the Bruins took it to the Isles tonight. With some puck luck the bruins could have easily won by 5 or 6 goals.
