  • I find doing turtle necks difficult as I sometimes rock some stubble. This stubble damages every turtleneck I have ever owned so I have to keep shaving the wool or acrylic regularly around this area. I also do it to high neck t shirts - nothing I can do apart from shave daily.

    • @donk8105 yes definitely don’t wear it with a polo. You can wear it with button downs and button ups. Pair it with sweaters, vests, and casual jackets. Works great in fall and winter. Neckties are better than bow ties since neckties are less formal. Also avoid shiny silk ties as they are too formal.

    • @donk8105 if you’re wearing a collared shirt, it’s best to not see the undershirt. So either go with no undershirt or a deep v neck under shirt.

  • Every woman I ever met thought army green clothing is sexy. Same with the dog tags as long as they are real! Phony ones , not so much. Wool is essential, poly is so 70s! A dial watch shows you are smart enough to actually tell the time. Real combat boots seem to be something ladies like, especially if you put the miles on them. Great vid Ashley.

  • I don' t know, looking too sharp at Walmart don't seem like it would really come off well. Maybe at a shopping mall or some kind of see and be seen type of place but most people don't really dress sharp they dress slouchy. I dress the same way because I don't want to stand out. It's probably why everyone else does it too. A gray man kind of thing, just being practical you kind of blend with the heard like Zebras do.

    • @@donk8105 If you shopped at Kohl's you weren't truly broke then. Kohl's is a store for middle class people. Poor people shop at Walmart, Goodwill and Family Dollar. Many years ago I used to work at Kohl's and I still shop there. Kohl's isn't bad for casual everyday wear. Solid clothing, unlike cheap stuff at H&M. I especially love Kohl's clearance rack. Good bargains to be had sometimes. Where are you shopping now?

Offering advice to a close friend or relative who may be unsure about what to wear is one thing; however, creating a platform and establishing societal expectations can contribute to the promotion of a culture of narcissism. This is akin to those parents who purchase brand-new cars for their teenage children in an attempt to boost their self-esteem. Is that truly a beneficial idea?
