Holy shit- I've been waiting to see an update to the checklist, I am surprised by a few things, the fortress stages being started, milodons boss fight and mini boss not complete, and vulpex's fight hasn't even been started. Legit I'm praying soon we get vulpex's boss, ivecbeen waiting 5 years to see what he can do besides float around. Honestly this almost confirms we'll be seeing this game before the end of the decade. Here's to hoping the team doesn't look back on their progress and see it as shit and redo a certain part lol

Okay so Gaia Armor boosts a bit now? That wasn't normal! Also 1:02 so Sniper Joe thought X would flinch but instead had his shot swatted away and then X said "Hah... -_-" at him lol! Priceless XD I do hope he's still 100% immune to spikes with that armor though O_O

If companies in relation take their actual time on making 💩 & making sure everything is the way to their liking, things would be a lot better. As much as I fluff with X6, I can't disagree/argue but so much as to why they don't like it, as it was their first most rushed X game ever..
@@DanKen139 I mean ..X5 I I thought it was rushed but It was Just poorly paced, X6 really droped the bar, but at least the Shadow armor was cooler that the gaia
I have to strongly disagree with you on that, @@MatheusWuz. X5 till this day, is mi Favorite X game ever. That game took way longer than X6 to drop. Finally, coming from a literally ended the game several times with all the armors and without(As well as several times ending it with just Zero alone), the Gega Amor was mi favorite(Even though it was nothing wrong with the other armors). Remember, every armor had it pros & cons, but they knew not to allow any upstage chip(s) to be accessed to that armor to prevent it from being cheesy. X-5 is literally the game I know that it's own non fighting tournament for fastest completed run. Yarp, the Shadow Armor was cool as 💩, but take away the fact they're both immune to spikes & possibly they can both stick to walls, they're two completely different armors. So comparing them is really irrelevant to bring up.
I think jkb removed the spike immunity in exchange for an actually functional gaea armor

Isn't the whole purpose of the Gaea armor to be immune to any spike damage? Kind of defeats the purpose of it if you ask me. Especially given the stage he's displaying it on where it would be of the most use.
The spike inmunity is there for the small spikes dont worry
If you pay attention to the specific exchange, you see that it makes up that it be damaged by most enemy fire, @@Hunter-pt4zy. Furthermore, you also have to remember that they also allow to have access to the Shadow Armor from X6. Which was another amor that's immune to spikes. Having both of those armors with that same specific feature would be rather *blah* with it. Meaning, to make this game feel more original, that feature would have to come off one of those 2 armors in order to give it overall different options for all the armors available.
The Gaea Amor till this day already gets that treatment from fans of all X-games & Specifically M-M X5 alone regardless, @breadandcircuses8127. Despite how cool the armor truly is...

JKB is probably going to alter some stages to fit the armors, like alternate routes for gaea spike immunity, shadow armor ceiling jump and etc, basically make the stages incorporate the armors in their own way, rather than have them only be useful in specific moments, which will be FAR better level design than X6
Either that or alter some of the armors _and_ stages to accomodate wathever armor the player wishes to use at the time regardless of the common hazards and obstacles each area carries in order to avoid having to change too much of said stage.
At last, a Gaea Armor that’s fast! I love the design but never used it due to how slow it was and it’s Buster being short range and I think boss weapons not used by it.

It's still fun to use for "challenge runs" if you want a harder time going through X5 so it's still worth getting.
Okay no, you are not giving Gaea Armor the credits it deserves. While it indeed suffers in terms of mobility, in exchange it can demolish bosses with ease.
That must be an Upgraded Gaea Armor because X is whipping around fast and light😄

@@DanKen139 All for the sake of a fair challenge among the many available armors in the game. With so many armors to pick and choose JKB clearly wants players to avoid having to stick to the one the entire game due to all the power boosts it provides compared to the rest (looking at you Ultimate Armor).
I super agree, @@javiervasquez625. But at the same time, any true fan of the M-M X series would play & end any X game with all the armors and a less once or twice without to test one's true skill. Either way, now they're handling Corrupted & the different ideas for every armors is spectacular.

It makes me anxious that using the gaea amor he doesn't walk on the peaks when one of his most characteristic abilities is stepping on peaks!!!
He might have removed the spike invulnerability in exchange for a different power boost to avoid making any specific armor more powerful and practical than the other. Do note that in this video JKB is shown using the upwards air dash move to ascend the upper pathway despite the original Gaea Armor from X5 lacking such function (as i recall). Given the extensive variety of armors available in the game i can see why he "shuffled" around some of the armors's abilities to ensure no armor would be more powerful than the other.
So just wanted to clarify a few things one which is about the gaea armor you still have immunity to spikes but there are two types of spikes one that is small youre immune to it and other is bigger than the small one which will only damage you and two yes the comment that stussyswan posted is offical and is from the offical wiki also on discord Three just wanted tk say to all who says the game is fake have a reminder that you'll be the first people to download the game
The big spike one still oneshots you, it doesnt matter if you are using Gaea legs

I don't mind disappearing block puzzles but this one needs some tweaking. At least you should see the blocks somewhat materialize before the block you're on disappears instead of just relying entirely on memory.

Is the gaea armor not able to nulify the spike damage oneshot in this version or is just him trying to pass through this area in the "normal" way just to show it can be passed without the gaea armor?
Might be either as JKB never got hit once meaning he may very well have just been teasing viewers just to show how good he is at avoiding spike hazards while donning the Gaea Armor.
@@javiervasquez625 You might be right, i was curious since i saw the gaea armor nulify enemy projectiles so i tought "maybe he changed the gaea and now it can be oneshoted by spikes but not receive damage from normal and mid enemies"
@@mauroferreyra3449 Exactly plus according to another commenter in this video this footage is from _2 years ago_ meaning JKB might have changed his mind on wathever disadvantages he might given to the Gaea Armor to remain consistent with the Lore.

Either case i hope all the armors remain equally useful regardless of a specific boost.

Tanta armadura para almenos tener inmunidad contra disparos, supongo que es 70% más efectivo que la gaea armor original, lo que me deja en duda y en lo que sorprende son esto Duda: no se sabe si la armadura tambien es inmune a lo pinchos Lo que me sorprende: Es el daño que tiene el buster contra los jefes Lo que esperó que mejoren: Que la Armadura solo reciba 2 puntos de daño como máximo por golpes, aunque pienso que eso no se podrá realizar...

@STH_YT Ten en cuenta que este clip es minimo de hace 2 años, por que ese sprite de la gaea esta bien obsoleto y le faltan habilidades actuales como su dash en el suelo con aura, y respecto a tus dudas: Solo es inmune a los pinchos pequeños, ejemplo de esos es por la seccion final de power plant. El daño contra jefes es como era en su version original de X5, aunque quizas lo balanceen o lo dejen asi a la final. Y con respecto a la defensa.. solo tiene lo de reflejar disparos de energia, contadas armaduras dan defensa en Corrupted

At this rate, like how many years do you think this is gonna need? seriously, the games looks awesome and it might be an understatement, but aren't the developers going too far with it? i wonder how overloaded the game will feel once it gets released (if i am still alive to presence such thing)... I just hope the developer really enjoys the final result
If the _development checklist_ on stussyswan's comment is anything to go by i would say he's very much over 70% done with the game only missing a few more stages to fully complete before the fangame is fully finished and ready for release. I give it 2 years more of development and it'll be complete.

@@Jacko-78 I'm not really familiar with Dive. There is a Phoenix and a Hydra armour, though. And what is especially fantastic, the parts between most armours can be mixed and matched. It's beautiful, really.

It might still be and JKB was simply teasing by dodging the spikes. This footage is from _2 years ago_ according to another commenter meaning it's possible the armor's spike invulnerability was ultimately added for Lore consistency's sake.

My guess is JKB realized how easy the game becomes by having an armor which is completley impervious to the most common hazard in the Megaman games hence why he removed the armor's invulnerability to maintain the difficulty of the game regardless.
@@javiervasquez625 I absolutely loathe and hate when someone takes away a iconic or essential ability because they think something is too OP in a single player game, there's always a way to make it challenging but even if there isn't the player should have the option of playing like he/she wants.
It looks like a different kind of spike. Maybe this one kills and Gaea's impervious to regular ones.
@@javiervasquez625 Ways to circumvent this honestly. You could give these "shrike spikes" the ability to damage through the gaea armor that way the armor does not completely break the stage but still provides a big benefit to obtaining it. A second way is to change the way all spikes work, which is to make all spikes instakill the player on contact, but with the gaea armor, you only take damage, which would still be a big big buff to having it in exchange for not using special weapons. A third way would be to just make the gaea armor very hard to obtain before this point. Seems kind of a bad way to design though if you're going to include an armor whose entire purpose is to negate spike damage just to remove the core design of the armor b/c you don't want people skipping over the design you worked so hard on. If that's the thought process, why include it at all?
Ok, so a couple things.... 1, I truly don't think y'all downgrade the changed shot for this armor down to two bars worth of damage. I'm sure y'all have reasons as to why y'all wanted it that way. But given the fact of its other basic disadvantages, leaving it at 3 bars of damage would be make sense for this armor. Unless y'all plan on adding power up features that needs to be unlocked through certain levels/leveling it up?! Lastly, I noticed the cool added features y'all added that wasn't X5. But I also remember this specific armor had the ability to be unharmed by spikes on any stages. Yet, it shows that the spikes was purposely being avoided. Does this confirms that y'all exchanged the "no damage from spikes" feature, for the added "No harm from most basic enemy fire" feature?
Leaving aside the fact that this footage is from 2 years ago (meaning he probably has changed a lot of things regarding the armor's abilities) it's possible some of the armor abilities were changed to ensure an even power boost among the many armors available in the game to ensure no specific armor would be more useful and practical compared to the others to the point of rendering them _useless_ to the player given the more powerful alternative. Having so many armors in the game can only make the difficulty spike disappear entirely if the one armor among the bunch happens to grant the most amount of benefit to even bother using any other armor in the game.
That's what I was more or less expecting with my first 2 sentences hinting at,@@javiervasquez625. & I'm surprised about if the video is possibly older. But it is titled updated gameplay, which I believe they do that to inform us that it is a most recent update. Edit: Ok, I re-watched the video & read the description. Gaea is inmune only against small spikes, not big ones. Shadow armor in not inmune to the small spikes like gaea tho, but that armor has a lot of buffs already so is whatever
