An update on the magpies' nest in late April.
The sparrows have taken over, but for long periods of time 'nothing' happens.
We start wondering, but then the sparrows show up again. This has happened some times now.
The magpies have built their nest of the year about 50 meters away from the garden.
In the beginning, they completely stayed away from the garden.
Now we see them regularly.
Even with the scaffolding on our house.
They are still quite shy, but we think we will get closer to them through the summer.
Getting to know these birds is a process, every time.
They start out being instinctively very wary of people (and us).
Then we have to behave well and the birds must grow trust to us.
A little by little.
This takes time and patience.
But maybe at the end of this summer we will know each other better.
Hiiiiiii dear friends ❤❤❤❤❤ thanks a lot ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for liking it.
Sparrows are very smart birds. They know what they are doing. The mags are never aggresiv to them but they might harras. We have sparrows in our area but the magpie lives in the same tree and dosent mind.
Yes, they have lived together here for many years. Through the years we have only seen sparrows taken by mags on two occations. Once when a sparrow was taken by surprice inside the mag nest and then a weakened sparrow youngster caught in the garden. It's not much. Usually they live together having no problems.
@@picapicalife also mags usaly take sick or old animals.
@@lifeithebalcoy Yes, they have an important role in the nature.
