  • These switches being affordable helped me finally try out other switches. Thought I preferred clicky for years. Got the Akko Starfish and quickly realized why people like smooth linears; now I bought an Akko board that came with Jelly Blues and these tactiles are so fun to type on. Now I want to try the new Purple tactile.

  • I'm new to the mechanical keyboard world, and I just wanted to say that your videos are incredibly helpful! Amazing quality too, it's very clear that you put a lot of effort into them. I sorta made the mistake of buying a north-facing Akko keyboard with Jelly White switches and some cherry profile keycaps before doing 'research', and I was worried about interference after learning. But this is my first time hearing someone mention that about these switches, and I'm glad you did! Just lifted a huge weight off my shoulders haha

  • HOLY SH*T. I knew you said that this was going to be an absolute banger, but the production of this video is over the freaking moon. Love what you're doing here, keep grinding my guy. Also for the shots of just the blank wooden table top, I think a cool decoration, or a small fake plant, or just a watch or something would be nice to see in the background, similar to what randomfrankp does with those shots, just to give it that extra spice. I saw you do it here at 5:29 but in some other shots it was just empty.

  • Great video comparison. You've really steered me away from Gats and into Akkos. I found it interesting when you said that the Jelly Blacks have more give when initially pressed and become harder as they go down, vs something like the Reds or Matchas, which are harder from the get go. I'm wondering if this means that keypress is registered more easily (with less force needed) on the Jelly Blacks than the other two. Ie would it be easier to mis-press a key with the JBs vs the other two? Thanks again!

  • The tactility of the Jelly Blues is odd, it sort of reminds me of how MX Blues feel, like how there’s a very sharp tactile bump when the click jacket moves down and how you feel another bump on the way up when the click jacket moves back into place. Also the stems are weird, they have two notches on them.

  • So, I’ve tried 4 Akko linear switches so far. Radiant red, Rose red, Jelly black and Silver. Rose red is my least favourite. It feels heavy and mushy. Silver is probably my favourite so far. Light, smooth and snappy. Jelly black is good too. It feels a bit heavier, but still snappy and not mushy. It feels full and solid. It sounds deeper too. I’m not sure about Radiant red. It’s not as snappy. Feels a bit mushy. It has a higher pitch compared to Jelly black and Silver. It’s still OK. In the end, Lavender purple is still my favourite. 😄 It’s the 1st switch I got and yet to find a switch that I like better. I haven’t tried other Akko tactile switches though.

  • I've come from the future and have bought the Jelly purples. The stock Gateron browns made me realize tactiles may be more my thing and I love that Akkos are easy on the budget. The purples sound pretty deep without lube so far they are my favorite switches!

  • Your #1 pick from your top mechanical keyboard video comes in either Jelly Pinks or Jelly Purples. What are your thoughts on the Jelly Purples? Do they have the same strange double bump as the Jelly Blues? You've definitely got me looking at the Akko options a lot (they should sponsor you!) Have you checked out their 96% boards? I'd love to see you do a review of their Ocean Star 3098B keyboard!!!! Keep up the great work, Los!

  • This would've taken ages to edit and video, great and informative video! Thanks for the tips, I'm new to keyboards and my first keyboard I bought was the razer huntsman mini clicky, I kinda regret it, but now I want to try linear switches and I might get the akko 3086b plus cyan eith pink jelly switches! Thanks for the info!

  • Haven't seen any reviews and comparison yet for the cream blue and yellow. I hope sometime soon you'd upload one. Bought the lavander purple because of this vid and lovin it but I want a change of pace and explore on the switches. Not sure if tactile would be the way or should I go the linear path. Keep up the good work!

  • i came from romer G switches and built my first custom Maxfit61 by Fantech, i got it in reds and felt the reds where too light, i got lavender purples, spent the time to lube them properly and oh my lawd the keyboard sounds incredible and feels like your breaking little glass vials with each press, its feels so nice to feel the switches click through
