This is so good for the NHL

Last night as the Vancouver Canucks hosted the New Jersey Devils, we got ourselves the Hughes Bowl and it did NOT disappoint. Plenty of offence, a great hot mic from Luke and with 6 points combined, the brothers made their presence felt! Just a great night as this marked just the 9th time in NHL history 3 brothers hit the ice like this. I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

  • What is great about your channel is that you provide not only quality edits and great commentary, but also just focus on the hockey. I feel like a lot of NHL YT channels wish to focus on fluff instead of the actual game (by that I mean - the interviews, the media, the drama and also the farts). Great channel, keep it up!

    @ricardsvuskans7558@ricardsvuskans75585 ай бұрын
    • “The farts” 😆Thank you though, I really do appreciate it. I will say, while I stay away from stories like the whole Bedard/Perry situation, I do have to make some “fluff” content at times as well. It’s unfortunate, but it’s where the views tend to be. Thanks for watching!

  • I watched the game live and it did not disappoint. My burning question for this game is this: what the hell is going on with Petey? It feels like we're right back to two seasons ago, when we couldn't figure out where to put him on the depth chart. Pairing him up with Joshua and Lafferty for most of the game at even strength is a big disappointment to see when he should be playing alongside our best forwards, and I think he should go on the IR and rehab whatever injuries he may have instead of trying to chase a big contract -- especially knowing that the team is sorely missing his brilliant two-way plays from last season.

    @OKmoomer@OKmoomer5 ай бұрын
    • Petey is a problem. Seems to be injured in some way, and knowing he’s in his contract year needs to make an impression but he’s not worth 12M right. Is. The more concerning players are Kuzmenko and Myers right now.

  • Okay, I've seen the Tkachuk brothers play each other. I've seen the moment where both Joseph brothers "high-sticked" each other and both of them went to the penalty box because the refs couldn't figure out who should go for the life of them. I didn't see this game with all three of the Hughes brothers, but that's what highlight reels are for. Now, I just need to see (via livestream or a highlight reel) all four Staal brothers play each other, granted they're all still playing. I don't care if three of them are playing for one team and the fourth one is playing for the other team or if it's two against two. I need to see them all play each other before I die.

  • When Hughes learns to play all the time, he could be the 2nd best player in Hockey (well 3rd if Bedard is the real deal.) The great instincts of not forechecking and waiting will work 1 out of 1000 times while an aggressive 4-check each time down the ice will always yield better results. Also, yelling at the referee can wait until the whistle blows. BUT - still an immense talent. Sidney Marie, before he became Sid used to whine all the time as well.
