KAILAS FUGA EX 2 full in-depth review. One of the biggest surprises for me last year when it comes to testing out running kit, was how well the Kailas FUGA EX 2 trail running shoes performed on their first run! Hands down it was the best feeling shoe I had run in from the Kailas brand and it felt like it had been tailor made for my foot shape. I've found myself reaching for the FUGA EX 2 more and more these days and I've managed to run 70+ miles in them. The shoes have had a really thorough testing so we thought it was about time we brought you our full in-depth review of this great trail all-rounder.
Thanks for watching, we'll see you in the next video and as always - stay safe and keep on running!

  • Would love to try them out!

  • Great review. Do you still feel that we should be sizing down a half size. I’m usually a US 12. Noticed they only make up to size 11.5. Would the 11.5 work? Thanks

  • Looks like a good shoe and not too expensive. Re those laces, I assume they are elastic? I run elastic in some of my shoes (not all) and I never understand why people fiddle about with the locking mechanisms, surplus lace and toggles etc. All I do is get them comfortable and when I'm happy with the lace placement, I cut each lace end, tie them in a knot to stop them slipping back through the locking device, then melt the ends to stop fraying. I leave about 25-30mm for adjustment and that's it. You do end up with two little 'tails' but IMO, that's preferable to having to stuff them away each time.

  • Hi Loyd, been on the Kailas website and the largest size they do is 11.5. I usually go for a 12.5 in Hoka's. Worry that the 11.5 wouldn't be big enough.

  • Running in a city; a runner can create an oxygen platform to level out the runners mind. Running in free and open countryside; a runner can release the incumbent levels of oxygen depletion and maintenance. In horse country; the saddle. The saddle creates a heat field wich consumes the oxygen. In cattle and milk country; the heat field is heavy and slow for the prior and moderately paced maintenance for the latter as the heat field is at head level and fall of creamy light. Got to love running so much. Similar to what so many people dislike about oversized professional body builders; runners have a spotlight which congruently, people attempt to enjoy rather than avoid.

  • 🇨🇦Good review once again, looks like a great shoe. Love speed laces but the companies that use them need to make a better lace pocket...frustrating!

  • Looks a good shoe, just the lace design puts me off, not sure why, probably just because I’ve never used that type in a running shoe and you stick to what you know.

  • Holy cow are these shoes unwearable. The upper is amazing. The mesh is superb and the toe bumper is fantastic. The Vibram outsole is a thing of beauty. Aaaaand then there's the midsole. While everyone and their uncle has gone max cushion, it looks like Kailas decided that they wanted a block of wood between the outsole and the runner's foot. I haven't run with something so hard since I wore a pair of clogs as a laugh when I was on holiday in Holland. Unbelievably disappointed in these shoes. I bought them because of your review and, while they'll be fine as fashion sneakers (I got the cream and brown version that's super attractive), there's no way I can run in them at all.

    @OrdMandrell1@OrdMandrell1 Жыл бұрын
    • Wow I'm shocked you're saying that! The midsole doesn't feel like a piece of wood. I find the level of cushioning really comfortable and the rocker feels great. Obviously cushioning is a personal thing, what trail shoes where you running in before? It not a deeply cushioned shoe like a Speedgoat but it's still well cushioned 🤔

      @Run4Adventure@Run4Adventure Жыл бұрын
    • @@Run4Adventure I typically run with Hoka Speedgoats or New Balance Trail More's (you really should review the V3's). I wasn't expecting high levels of cushioning on the shoe. But I also wasn't expecting what I got. It was shocking really.

      @OrdMandrell1@OrdMandrell1 Жыл бұрын
    • @@OrdMandrell1 Well that's probably why it didn't feel right to you. Your use to having way more cushioning in the midsole of your trail shoes! The midsole on the FUGA EX 2 isn't firm, youve just got use to very soft shoes 👍

      @Run4Adventure@Run4Adventure Жыл бұрын
    • @@Run4Adventure I've been told that it softens up after about 60km. Gonna run them all of next week and see where I end up.

  • What actually makes the shoe a top 5 running shoe of the year?? Plenty manufacturers and brands on the market nowadays but probably around 5 make a good, trail running shoes. This one isn't one of them.

    @jarekbatkowski9039@jarekbatkowski9039 Жыл бұрын
    • It made it into "MY" top 5 running shoes of the year. I tested out quite a few road shoes and trail shoes last year and I can assure you that the Kailas FUGA EX2 was in my top 5! Are you literally telling me that this shoe isn't one of my top 5 favorites? 🤔 Obviously running shoe choice is super personal, just because you don't like a shoe, it doesn't mean it can't make "MY" top 5 Jarek. Out of interest have you run in the Kailas FUGA EX2? 🤔 Thanks for watching.

      @Run4Adventure@Run4Adventure Жыл бұрын
    • @@Run4Adventure Hi Loyd👋 I didn't hear you in your video saying 'MY' but top 5 trail running shoes of the year. That would make a difference. Yes, tested them and not my fit.
