I'll have to try out Vanicream to see if it could be a good substitute for EltaMD. Unfortunately I've found that I'm sensitive to at least one common American chemical sunscreen, but I don't know which one. I also love the HydroBoost line, so I thought that sunscreen would be good for me, but I couldn't wear it. That was when I finally realized the issue was the active ingredients, not the supporting ingredients.

For face i use the Everyday tinted sunscreen by Unsun & it’s probably the most comfortable one I’ve tried that’s mineral. For body the Native mineral sunscreen. It’s weird to apply at first but once you rub it in, it disappears into your skin! No sticky gross white lines in your elbow creases or that sticky coating all over!

  • As someone who is always searching for the best budget products, I really thought the Eucerin daily protection spf 30 was going to be great, but I literally have to wash it off my face and apply something else almost every time I use it. It only works (usually) if my skin is maximally exfoliated (before I start getting irritated) and also use no other products (after cleansing). It pills so much. Even on top of itself. I have heard such great reviews of this product from trustworthy derms, so that's why I say, it may not be a guaranteed dollar-well-spent. I love Eucerin products usually, just not that one. Just a note for sunscreen reviews, its super important to note the tone / opacity of tinted sunscreens for different skin tones (light/dark)

I was wondering if applying sunscreen to eyelids are recommended? I obviously know to be careful around the eyes but not 100% sure. Also, any advice about red-light therapy masks and whether the eyelids are shielded enough from the masks. I use the Omnilux mask and when I use it 4-5 days a week, I notice the eyelid area becomes irritated and a feeling like my eyelids are "being stretched", they even "appear" that way. Any comments would be appreciated. Best regards, Marsonne

  • I really appreciate your videos! Have you tried Pipette Mineral Sunscreen SPF50? It has the same parent company as Biossance and also contains squalene, but for a fraction of the cost. It’s a great sunscreen for my dry, sensitive skin.

  • Hey guys thanks for the sunscreen video . I would love if ya can also film a video of facial spray sunscreens and scalp sunscreen to help protect other parts of my body . I always put runing errands or with my kids and my hands touch everything and I don’t like to rub my face through out the day so I would like a phenomenal spray sunscreen to make it easier to reapply.

  • What about octocrylene? Here in Germany it's advised to no longer use sunscreens that contain it. There are almost no products now that have it. But I just got Neutrogena Beach Defender as a gift - and now I really don't know whether it is a good idea to actually use it

  • I've used Eucerin Daily Protection Face Lotion SPF 30 for 10+ years and it's literally the only sunscreen I've ever used that doesn't break me out. I've wasted so much money testing other sunscreens, buying into the hype over the last couple of years. My only concern is that I'm not sure if this provides enough protection for full days in the sun. Would this work for being outside all day too (assuming it's reapplied)?

  • Hi! Not sure I'll get a response at all bu here is my challenge with sunscreens for my face. Start the day with a fresh for the world to see. Moisturizer goes on, sunscreen, goes, all of the take care of my face products go on, foundation, eye shadow, blush... you name it goes on. Two hours later how do we put sunscreen on over all that? You're mentioned some "all in one" products that are coming onto the market & I'm very thankful. Especially because sunscreen, yes, is the most important. However this can become kinda tricky business. Messing up, gooping up the layers of powder, and otherwise, placed on the face to start the day. Have clients asked about this?

    • @@GoBlueGirl78 yeah I kbow they are probably safe, but I’m just too paranoid and wanna decrease all the risks and for me rocking an umbrella is an option. I also have oily skin, but now it’s just very dry and sensitive due to accutaine. Gosh I hope it helps and revives my life. Problem is red spots that are post acne. Gotta get rid of them somehow once breaking out stops

  • I used Paula's Choice's sunscreens, and two of them, ultra sheer daily defense spf30 and extra care non greasy body and face sunscreen spf50, had oxybenzone it it. The texture was great, did not sting my eyes, and was good at protecting my skin from getting sunburnt. Buuut they definitely irritated my skin in a way I had never experienced before. I tried using extra care non greasy sunscreen very consistently because I wanted to like it so bad but after 2 weeks I had to stop because of how it made my skin feel, and I do blame the oxybenzone. Such a shame because it was very water and sweat resistant and felt lovely. Currently my skin does not like sunscreens in general after being traumatized by oxybenzone. Korean sunscreens are thankfully saving the day. And some Japanese ones.
