The Redmi Note 10 Pro or Pro Max as is called in some regions, is one of the best phones at its price as it packs a lot of value for money. It is pretty much the phone to beat that is why you see it in a lot of comparison videos. It's been about four months since my initial review and I've had it that long. How has it fared in this time? Is it a device to recommend for long term use? Is it still fast or is it more buggy? These are questions I've answered in my long term review of the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Actually 12.5.8 released yesterday and it's pretty good in terms of bb and only some minor bugs are only there now.

What i like so much about Xiaomi is that they have a variety smart phones and so many other devices/gadgets to choose from at pocket friendly prices.
I must say, the free case you get is quite strong. I've dropped my phone in the road while cycling and not a single scratch. There's a scuff mark on the cover where it made contact with the tar but that's it

@@sarahid1905 I have shitphone redmi 7 and if that crap can play games withnout starting wildfires this beast can probably too, I wouldn't worry about performance. But i heard it has some buggy MIUI issues, be careful.
@@michaelp2798 oh yes i returned my Poco f3 for those reasons. Also very fast battery drainage during Genshin. I'm not used to a phone to heat at lowest settings X.X and kind of lag I have to switch back to iphone until I find android which can do it better i think ? 😭😭
I have purchased the Redmi Note 10 Pro and while using it it started heating up for no reason and it's not like I was playing a game on it just a simple use and another thing the battery goes a bit fast while using it as well. So I was wondering if there is an issue with those two that I have listed. What I love about the phone is the stereo speakers they sound great! And the fingerprint and face unlock is super responsive. I can recommend this phone to anyone.
Is the camera still okay? I had a phone before that the camera was only good at start but then when it lasted long, the quality became so low. I'm super cautious about this camera of my note 10 pro thinking it can happen the same on this phone again.

My favourite part of the phone is the sound. The dual speakers are 💯 Other than the heating issue, there's barely any complains. Just play without your phone cover to let it cool and 60fps and you should be ok!
what's the difference between the global version and the indian version? cause one of the major differences i see is the 4g bands. is it okay to buy the indian variant in Nigeria?

Hello I am thinking buying this phone. I would like to ask a question if you dont mind. Does heating issues happens after a while under high load of gaming or does it even happen with light games like candy crush or something like instagram. If it heats up only with high graphic games Its not a problem for me but if heating is general I might second guess. Thanks
Most phones including gaming phones or flagship will have heating issue when playing gensin impact

after 12.5.6 the phone no longer gets hot during games, im not talking light games but graphically demanding apps like wild rift and some very visually stunning game called sky
Yes it's improved but alot problems not solved like slow charging, heating while 120hz, proximity.
Not for me though...the phone heats up even in low graphics and max frame rate such that the frame rate starts dropping within 20 min of playing ( talking about call of duty btw)...also there is this weird bug where the navigation buttons disappears while watching KZhead videos and need to relock and unlock the phone to make it work again

Your videos are dope and clean.
I can say that 90% of the known problems are MIUI related. Including: heating, proximity problems, battery drain, 120hz flickering, blur glitches, stuttering etc. They really trashed a UI that was once one of the better ones. Installed crdroid and now my device works flawlessly.
How did you instal crdroid
You meant even proximity sensor issue for fixed after removing miui?
@@ShauriePvs Yes. Some glitch was causing it to turn the display on after a while. Even after holding it completely still on my ear it turns on by itself... That is simply not happening on the custom rom.

@@ShauriePvs Their new control center has tons of bugs, and you cant even remove blurs, which is one of the main causes of poor performance, graphical glitches, freezes etc. That explains it, they simply dont care. 120hz implementation is horrible and still in beta phase compared to crdroid, which is unacceptable.

4 months into using the device I've noticed that anytime I send WhatsApp messages to my contacts,it delays(up to 2 hours) to be delivered. Its very frustrating because I tried my best possible including - checking my network - updating the system to the latest - Resetting the device (factory reset) - switching to a new WhatsApp account (incase the problem was from my previous account) But this rendered futile to solving my problem.
After update to 13 .0.15 update my note 10 pro camera for application like Snapchat and WhatsApp come blank like black I am not able to do video calls any help with that

I use the Redmi Note 10 Pro, but switched to the Indonesia ROM almost immediately (due to MIUI Dailer and MIUI Message). I've noticed that it seems to be more stable as I hardly have the issues that most users complain of.

Very nice and informative video! I got this 2 days ago and im so happy with it, coming from a Huawei P30 Lite. The battery-life was excellent on my P30 too, but man, this is even better. Still not really used to the fingerprint-reader being on the side, but ill get the hang of it eventually, cheers from Sweden and stay safe everyone 😋

I enjoy your videos. To be honest with you I still believe this is one of the best buys of 2021 compared to it's price. Using it for 4 months and didn't find that much problem. Proximity sensor is a issue. But that's in all other xiaomi phones and they acknowledged the fact. Heating is issue if you are a gamer. But you can't expect too much from a 732 sd processor tbh. I still believe this is one of the great buys of 2021.
Yes I just bought the 128gb, 8gb ram version in Germany on Amazon for 280 Euro yesterday. Before I had a 9T Pro. :)
Facts! Hv the 8/128 ver and the phone still heats up. But it's a small issue, just remove your plastic phone cover and let it cool. The rest of the phone is solid!
The major issue I have with the RN10pro is mic issues. On a WhatsApp call, if the phone is on speaker, it is difficult for the person on the other line to hear me. It's quite frustrating

I don't think any amount of updates will make the Redmi Note 10 Pro better than the Poco F3 cos the F3 has better hardware. @@TechNomadUK1 the answer is still the same. Poco F3. If you need more from the cameras you can always use GCAM. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is not perfect when it comes to stability
@@izziboye I actually had the Poco F3 over a month ago. The 8GB/256GB version. The performance is faultless. But I was somehow disappointed with the cameras. It's got the old Sony IMX582 and even with Gcam I struggled liking the photos. In particular the shadows and dark areas are always crushed and quite prominent. Tried changing the exposure and the highlights will get overblown. It's this the same with you? Does the Fermi have a similar problems?
@@TechNomadUK1 this wasn't really a problem for me, but in comparison to the Note 10 Pro I'd say the Note 10 Pro had slightly better camera performance than the Poco F3, but only slightly and only on the main camera and it is probably negligible. If the cameras are your priority I'd say consider the Samsung Galaxy A52 as that has more reliable camera performance and I esteem it above the Redmi Note 10 Pro in overall performance and stability.

Only just got mine and did one test call. I moved the phone to and fro my ear 3 times and each time the screen went dark so worked fine for me on that one quick test. Im on the 12.5.6 software rom.
Normal use it's fine.but when there's an urgency like my boss called ,it All will get messed up
I don't have much of a heating issue with gaming and Mobile Legends can truly heat up a phone if you're running max graphics. I think it also comes down to which MIUI version you use (from what I've seen) I've stayed on 12.0.2 and I've had basically no issues.

I have it for 3 months and here are my issues: when I want to end a call my proximity sensor doesn't work and my screen remains black, so the other person should end the call. These days I just shake my phone and it lights up. It's the same when I open a voice message in Messenger - black screen until the message is over. I again shake the phone to fix it, sometimes it works. Also the touch sensitivity is tooo strong, when I scroll down KZhead comments I accidentally open a comment, and it happens often, it's annoying. I cannot fix that. Also the camera in lower light is not good - I cannot read a text on the other wall of my room on a poster. It's almost the same in the day light. I'm not satisfied with the camera. I installed GCam and it's the same. My old PocoF1 makes better photos with GCam than 10 pro. Also when I'm on loudspeaker or when I send a message or record sounds there is some background noise that is so annoying even if I'm in a quiet room alone. When I shoot a photo of a close text it blurs the edges and only the center of the photo is clear, I couldn't fix this. Overall I'm gonna sell it and stay with my old PocoF1 which is still perfect in performance, camera, battery life (1 day of hard use - at least 7-8h SoT). On note 10 pro it's 9h SoT, when I use dark mode, always turn on battery saver, 60hz, light on 50%, and only WiFi on. It doesn't heat up except in direct sunlight.Also my side fingerprint sensor is working 60% of the time.

Thanks for this updated review ..I just purchased one I haven't received it yet but I'm hoping I'll enjoy using it .. I'm now using a LG v40 thin Q but the battery life is very poor nowa days but I choose to try this mid range phone. The size battery and SD card plus dual sim are what made me choose this one so I'm definitely looking forward to using it .

KZheadrs make videos on how the update is and what are the bugs.So a wise decision should be to see the video first before updating.Miui updates aren't like any other update you seriously need to have information before updating.You can also just install a custom roms for this device.

Now this is good quality content, Its relaxing to watch. The Note 10 Pro is a proven device. I have it, and despite the bumby ride, I can say finally we have reached smooth tarmac. Hopefully its smooth sailing here onwards. Quality device this.

Super smooth at 120hz refresh rate. 6gb ram is enough to open 10 apps, but eats battery faster at 120hz. At first the battery drains faster but as time passed it increased and others said its because of adaptive battery but overall its greadaptive miui 12.5.6 cuz most of the bugs i encountered were fixed
It's smooth alright I play codm at medium +. Max frame rates it does get hot though

Not experience all this problems and for the phone getting hot while gaming it only happens to heavy graphics games like pes 2021 genshi impact etc but if you play light games like candy crush subway surfer etc the phone won't heat up the only problem I find annoying is the proximity sensor when making calls I hope it can be fixed as soon as possible apart from that the phone is very good and I will recommend it for any one and for the ads there is way you can turn it off

Hello izzi boye. I'm thinking of getting this phone. I've seen lots of bad reviews about it. I'll just ask. Does gaming work well on this phone? I play call of duty a lot and I'm hoping to get a phone that can hold it and I saw you play it smoothly. Does it still run smoothly? And I'm hoping to hold this phone for 4 years. Will it still be good for 4 years and will the updates be released early?
Gaming works well, it heats up but works fine. It runs smoothly if you can stick to medium settings. 4 years is quite a stretch, Xiaomi is not known for early updates so I won't count on it. If you prioritise support I'd recommend going for the Samsung Galaxy A52, you'll get a more balanced all-round performance with support up to 3 years of OS upgrades

No, Xiaomi doesn't give up to 3 years of OS upgrades. Maybe one OS upgrade and probably 2 MIUI updates

So.. It depends..
