  • The thing is Spurs could have won that game had they kept their heads. It looked like they came out for the second half too pumped up. They expected Chelsea to try and up the intensity so got their retaliations in first. Trouble is, it only stoked the atmosphere. Hazard is a gifted but pretty laid back character. When he got fired up, it was bad news for Spurs. Clattenburg was ridiculous on the night and his later comments were unreal.

    • Yea, he basically said he didn’t want the title to be decided by him & sending off players. If another ref was working this game objectively like they are supposed to do, it would have ended 9v9 or worse. Or maybe they’d calm down after each team lost a player but not likely.

    • @@jdodger1091 yea I may have been exaggerating a bit. Or maybe it could’ve happened? Your right Spurs lost all poise & self control at times. Lamela knows the dark arts of football but not great at doing them causally & out of sight of refs (ref and sidelines). He’s always the one you’d pick to get a red card, like fellow Argentina player Christian Romero is now. I think Hugo & Eriksen were only Spurs players not to get a yellow card. Chelsea weren’t exactly being gentleman either; maybe reaction to hard foul & escalated/maybe strategy to be extra physical, exactly what you said, get Spurs players to lose control! But a few of their players could’ve gotten 2nd yellow, or straight red, same as Spurs players could have? I forgot how great Hazards 2nd goal was! And can’t forget about post game fighting, almost becoming real Brawl! “ Battle at the Bridge” already PL classic for clinching Leicester PL Title! But also because of the hard physically tough competition between both clubs in a LondonDerby that’s always extra Physical!

    • @@thisIsFunnyLolz It Happens. Look at how Man United players were acting in 7-0 loss yesterday. Bruno Fernandez especially, just lost control and just made a fool of himself. I didn’t see it, but read he even pushed the ref. I can’t imagine if he really did that but didn’t get sent off immediately? But for this game Chelsea being able to officially keep Spurs from winning league is something to play for. Definitely more important for the fans who still mention it to this day! But main thing is Chelsea had a lot of good players who were/are professional & play the game because it’s what they love to do & made it to top level where they’re paid millions to play the game they love. And yea the fouls got out of hand.

    @antonjoroge1576@antonjoroge1576 Жыл бұрын
    • I understand your feelings, as a Spurs fan it’ll always be tough thinking about this match & season, but if it’s other way around & beating/ or a draw vs Chelsea would take title away from them, we’d all feel same way! I always think back, as they mentioned it, to loss at WHL to Leicester in January; a draw (or if Spurs scored that late goal and won - 6 point swing) it would’ve rewritten this story! But can’t dwell on “ What If …” as every team has them every season. Best “ what If …” is Liverpool last year, 1 goal in any of their draws during season & 1 goal in CL final leading to Ext time & maybe PK shootout???

Davies is the ultimate team player who’ll do anything he’s asked to help the team & is better then most recognize or want to admit. Type of player every team wants! He was best player on field in WC playoff for Wales v Ukraine. Yes, irrelevant to this comment, but an example of how he’s developed into Great professional Team player. And denying Ukraine into WC. Imagine Group B & aside from a penalty that gave Wales a draw vs USA,how much better would Ukraine have done & which 2 teams advance?

Only went above Arsenal in 2nd for like a month and a half and the media went into overdrive hyping up a title charge by spurs that never was. Spuds remained 2nd until game week 38, they were 2 points in front of Arsenal heading into the last game so if you mean Arsenal would have won it by default because they finished 2nd then yeah, but Arsenal weren’t really in the race the way Spuds were they just over took them in the end because Spuds fell off. If City are in the title race this year then Spuds were too at the same point in the 14/15 season. It’s why this match was so significant for them and why they lost their heads towards the end. • Saw an interview from the ref of this match a couple of years ago where he admitted that Tottenham should have gotten 4 red cards in this match but didn't even get a single one cause he didn't want the press to blame him for Tottenham's failure. This match showed why Tottenham simply didn't deserve to he crowned champions of England. Disgraceful conduct.

    • The press' obsession with trying to paint Tottenham as some great club and justifying their constant failures by placing the blame on others, is so weird. It's happening again this season. Currently on top of the league after only 8 games and the press are shoving them down everyone's throats 😂😂😂
