  • Hi everyone, as many said, there are a lot of greats moments and sports missing (cricket, motorcycle, badminton, MMA, waterpolo, not enough tennis ....), there is maybe too much France in it and not enough women. I just wanted to make a video that describes my admiration to all athletes and the motivation they gave me. Thank you all for you comments :)

  • In this 13 minute video are the stories of each individual athlete and their profound coaches, tens of rivals, hundreds of competitions, thousands of hours, and millions of dedication, pain and perseverance from a young age. The result of waking up earlier and sleeping after everyone else, missing on social events for practice, failing yet refusing to give in. Each individual has had a spectacular journey, all summed up in 13 minutes. This was truly, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

My birthday was coming up when my older brother, who lives in another city, calls me to say that he's coming over and that he's got 2 tickets for the game that evening. I had never been to a national soccer game. A few hours later I'm watching Zlatan, our favorite player, score 4 goals against England. The last goal was this crazy bicycle kick. Walking home I was thinking "wtf did I just watch!?". Great memory!

Life is way too short people. These sporting moments happened in most of our life times, the ups the downs, but most importantly we watched them in our life time, whether it be sports events, social events, family times, we all have our different paths. Enjoy them moments while you can, because 100 years down the line we will be all long passed like those people i watched walking around in 1911, I think too myself human beings are capable of truely amazing things. Peace and love people, love you all.

Spain 2010, Germany vs Brazil 2014, England winning the sport they invented in 1966 etc theres more but those just to came my mind. No to mention where is cricket? I don't even watch it all and I'm Australian, but its massively popular here, in the UK, Pakistan, India, the Caribbean etc. Also large amounts of Rugby, mostly involving France... The only tennis point (tennis is top 5 in terms of popularity, is an extremely physical sport) is Federer hitting a tweener. Yes its impressive but Thiem, Zverev, Monfils, Cuevas etc have all done this and I use these players cos outside of tennis fans no one knows them so whoever made this video decided "I need a cool tennis shot from Federer, but since I don't know anything about tennis, I'll throw in Borg vs McEnroe and call it a day". Greatest generation of male tennis players (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray to an extent (first Brit winning Wimbledon in 80+ years) not included. Countless football players missing out, way too much America only sports like NFL, but no room for AFL (Australia only sport) etc. The fact skating was in here over cricket, FIFA WCs, etc is odd to say the least. Ultimately this is a very French-centric video and I'm not sure why so many are lauding this as the greatest sports moments when so much is missing.
