You can tell LNX is hurting. He knows that his fame literally is because of a meme song (Old Town Road) blowing up 3 years ago. He calls that out by saying it was pure luck, and he even had a little thematic motif of the melody of OTR in the melody of this song. This song is extremely emotionally charged, and it shows how little he believes in himself (or at least how little people believe in his talent). Fuck me, why am I crying. I forget how good Elton is on piano and his adaption to the genre Lil Nas sings in was superb while still being true to him. The lyrics and Nas's voice over it all is superb. I hope they do a full collab album someday, or even just Nas doing an Elton style song (or even better, Elton trying to sing in Nas's style xD. Honestly, either of them would undoubtedly kill it). Nas has wormed his way into my heart, I'm glad his career is taking off.
