"Blood boiling" is an exaggeration.... Sure they were bad decisions, but I wouldn't go too far..

As it should. Too many games are being ruined by incompetent referees.
Respect to the neutrals and rivals coming out and saying it’s the farce it is. Seriously it does mean something.
Spurs fan here, offside Liverpool got given is genuinely mind blowing I still can’t get my head round it doesn’t make sense yes it’s beneficial to us but that was so wrong and takes away from what is a rare win once in a blue moon against Liverpool who with 10 and 9 men was extraordinary
You can't be a fan of football and support that offside. It's just atrocious and something does have to be done. Liverpool will take this I hope and use it as fuel for the rest of the season as they have the experience and talent to push City. Reds: Jones - I do think it was red, it wasn't intentional but if you are not in control and your action endangers the player then its still a red in my opinion. Jota: was a red too, it was just poor stupid decision making, he let the team down, he knows better.
Because most of us has also seen it happening to our teams. I’m an Arsenal fan, and the 2 PGMOL official apologies from last season really understate the other obvious howlers against us in games.
They are proper and Spurs are just classless. Worst fanbase ever. Can't wait to see them go trophyless as always.

@@ddha0000wow. What game were you watching? Jones's red was questionable. Jota's first yellow was laughable. The offside ruling was a joke. Refs decided this game before it even started.
Useless doesn’t even cut it, the deciding factor this game was the abysmal officiating. And this is coming from a spurs fan. I do think that the first red card was understandable, it was always at least a yellow, even if his intentions wasn’t there. Being a red or yellow in this situation comes down to how bad it looks in the eyes of the referees. The first yellow on Jota was completely wrong decision, the second yellow was right and Jota shouldn’t have gone in like that with a yellow on him. But still, shouldn’t have been a second yellow in that situation, it should’ve been his first and only yellow.
seeing even rival fans support us shows how much the world loves football, and especially fair football. I believe this has to be a huge statement, and something MUST be done.
Couldn't agree more, I'm Spurs & as soon as I saw Diaz's goal I saw it was well onside. Pure incompetence by all the officials involved including the lino !! What a shame the best league in the world can't get the best officiating. I'd bin VAR & only keep goal line tech.

Match fixing in the EPl needs to be investigated
They ruined the most exciting game of the week. As a United fan I wanted Angeball to destroy Liverpool. But now I can only feel frustrated.
AngeBall did destroy Liverpool. I am new to the EPL. I try to watch all of the Tottenham games. The Liverpool players were challenged with slick play and they lashed out. From the outset I was thinking Red cards were inevitable, and the Liverpool players didn’t manage themselves very well. It is not Ange’s fault Liverpool got 2 red cards. It was a consequence of Tottenham outplaying and getting away from them. Once Liverpool fell to 9 men they parked the bus and Tottenham broke through after wave after wave of attack. The OG (as most OGs) came from pressure and frayed nerves. That is what AngeBall does to you.
Liverpool should have been 1-0 up and probably would have gone onto score a few more.
Does it also get perfectly good goals ruled out for not being offside?
@@niallrunswick938 Maybe they never would have scored the goal late in the first half if they didn’t get a goal disallowed. Who knows and no one will ever know unless we live in a parallel universe. I am an newbie to the EPL. It was clear from the start that the Liverpool players were lashing out at Tottenham players because they were slicker and matching them. This game has red cards written all over it from the start. Liverpool parking the bus with 9 men was nothing to boast about. They we’re sitting ducks and they cracked under pressure in the last minute with an OG. If it was a boxing match you would have given the points to Tottenham.

Heads have to roll for that shocking performance from the officials💯
I can’t quite believe the offside call, and doubt I’ll be able to - in terms of the obvious reason for not drawing the line being that the officials wanted to re-start the game quickly due to thinking the offside was ‘obvious’ while looking at the wrong Tottenham player. Liverpool were actually great tonight. Doing what they did with 9 men was something special for a lengthy period of the game. Strange game, and worrying signs for the fans view of VAR and the PGMOL.

How many refs are in the VAR room checking the footage? 4? 5? NONE of them could see they were looking at the wrong player? ALL of them looked only at the wrong player? When it was blatantly obvious to everyone at home immediately that it was tight call - I say tight, it really wasn't, he was a good yard at least onside - these pros whose job it is to make these massive calls couldn't see it? That can't be the reasoning, although anything else implies outright corruption, surely not?....

The only silver lining is that the VAR thing at least is a very easy fix. Sports like rugby allow TMO to interrupt the ref at any point and proactively show them something that should be a penalty/card. The Premier League rules need to be changed to make it clear that VAR can do that

VAR isn't the problem, the ref has the privilege of watching play up close in real time. VAR is an aid to the ref. Other sports use it, or similar, and have done so for decades. The issue is incompetent officials.
@@jacksmalling4265 not just other sports. Most other leagues have technology used, and have used it longer than it's been used within the Premier League. The FA were one of the last hold outs and basically had to be dragged into using technology against their will. @@jacksmalling4265the point being made is that VAR can be a/the problem if used incorrectly or misused, like in the jones challenge imo. To start the monitor on the frame they did instead of when the ball is breaking to provide the full context is clear misuse.
Exactly the same happened with Gusto at Chelsea last week. No one was complaining then
When will ppl understand that intent has nothing to do with the decision. It was a dangerous and reckless leg breaking move. If you can't reach the ball safely and then you risk a leg break with that kind of challenge. VAR just showed the out come of the recklessness. Why bother with VAR if you insist on running at same speed. The ref already made his call at that speed.
After the PGMOL statement relating to the disallowed goal by Luis Diaz, Liverpool FC should demand that the disallowed goal is retrospectively added to the result, or the match result is deemed null and void, and the match replayed. Otherwise there is no material accountability. How can a goal be disallowed but not reinstated when the decision is proven to be an error.
The problem is that if matches are replayed then teams will end up playing 50-60 league games a season because the refs are that bad

I always chuckle when Gary talks tactics .
Ill name them elbows for you Gary. Diaz on Romero and Robertson on Porro. And i was flabbergasted that VAR didnt intervene. But hey the play for the Darlings if English football.
The officiating in this game has got to be a watershed moment to how appalling the standards of refereeing has been for EVERYONE this season. This has happened a lot this season for every club in countless games, we have the BEST league in the world, this game could have been a classic today with City losing earlier... but 13 cards in a mostly clean game? A falsely rebuked goal? We're being officiated by donkeys!! The Premier League should start hiring officials worldwide like the clubs do, especially if the best the British have to offer is sub-standard, they're ruining it right now, this game was ruined.
Agreed. Abolish the PGMOL, sack all the refs in it including the Yorkshire ref mafia, establish a new body that hires competitively from across the world like we do with players. Then, establish a *separate* body for VARs and train them specifically for VAR. It's a different skill set from on-field and doesn't require running for 90 mins or the ability to see something split-second, but does require the ability to follow processes exactly 100% of the time. These two being separate is key, as long as VARs are mates with on-field refs, they'll continue covering up for their mates and deferring to sh-t decisions. These two should be in competition and VARs ought to be rated and compensated based on how many incorrect decisions they helped avoid and making no procedural mistakes in reviews.
We have the best players and managers from all over the world being officiated by a group of 40+ year old white men from down the road.
Totally agree with you! The ref was happily dishing out YC to every fouls and he should be demoted! Great courage by the men in Red today and don’t be discouraged by this result, especially Joel Matip. YWNA 🔴
@@marcusxa Very proud of our lads. As good as a win for me since we all know what the result should've been. The fact is though, City lost, to Wolves of all people, and 3 points here, which we richly deserved and would have gotten had it not been for them playing with 13 men (11 + the on-field ref and the VAR) vs 9, would have put us top of the table and applied pressure to them.
Apparently Saudi are interested in our referees please come and take them.
People need to talk about Jota's first yellow too. Guy never even touched the spurs player
He clipped his leg. It was a foul, but card could be debated.
@@ajnz2420 What made the player fall over was he tripped himself. Maybe give a foul for clipping him slightly but then give a yellow for the next tackle. To give a yellow for both is absurd
They literally talked about the first yellow in this video
He had just been warned. The ref was behind him so it looked a yellow. Unlucky. 2nd was another yellow. Red card. Lost the team the game.
Exactly.
We are football fans first and these decisions even as Spurs fans are worrying as its corrupt & destroying the game we all love & cherish
It was only at half time when Neville started bashing VAR. In real time when the paused replays were being shown, he said Diaz was just offside. His judgment was just as bad. We could see easily that Romero outstretched leg was keeping Diaz onside.
And now it's been 'confirmed that lfc were robbed ! Human error they said (crap referee) they mean.
@@Delred1 I've just read that too. Aparently VAR awarded the goal but the game restarted after the on-field referee was told check complete. Absolute embarrassment. I am a Spurs fan but I actually felt for Liverpool, they did deserve something from the game, especially after the sending offs. VAR and the referee ruined what should've been a brilliant game.
Disgraceful not to talk about that Luis Diaz goal that was taken away from Liverpool. When people like Neville don't even mention it they are complicit in this incredible problem the Premier League has. It's so obvious now of corruption after the latest non-calls we see i.e. Wolves/Utd amongst others. We need to get rid of Var, or we need to hear the referees every time a situation comes up. Total transparency, or what we are starting to watch is the equivalent of Pro Wrestling.
He went on about on about it on Sky Sports.
Getting rid of VR is what they want to make corruption even easier again. Don't get rid of it, make it more accountable, broadcast the decision making, have a panel independent of the in game refs of ex pros that can overrule the ref. AI should be brought in for offsides. And a freeze frame of the impact of the tackle should never be shown, it should be the initial starting contact that determines whether something was reckless, not the impact
corruption in favour of who??? you say the Utd Wolves thing not mentioning Utd had a clear penalty denied, Utd have had 2 stonewall penalties for handball not given, a goal ruled out for the ball being over the line when different angles show it was inconclusive. so is the corruption against Utd?
@@ddha0000 Yes Mr. Bubblicious, Amongst others meaning other events of this nature. The only team in top 6 not getting this treatment are your boyz across town, City. Mmmm... Now that is interesting
@sawtoothred7943 united had tons of decisions going against them this season.
A red of 51 years, and I fear for our beautiful game because it is bordering corrupt,I have no words for this level of ineptitude from officials,it is costing teams week after week and something has to be addressed as a matter of urgency, common sense, pragmatism and understanding the game from a player perspective is showing no correlation in correct decision making,I could see see from first review of Diaz goal he was clearly on
It doesn't matter if he had no intention of almost snapping the guys leg!!! That is the cleanest red card you'll ever see....and it disturbs me that people are arguing this point. Do you even know the rules?....or do you just conveniently ignore the rules when they don't suit you? Second red was dubious and the offside decision was an absolute joke.
The cleanest red card you'll ever see is the tackle made in the league honduras about two weeks ago. You'll find it on YT 😁
The thing is VAR realised they had made a mistake during the game so why cant it be rectified during the game. They could have added the goal at halftime. Its not ideal but at least you get the correct result.
no matter who you support, these shocking decisions with the help of VAR should scare any supporter
I'm not a Liverpool fan but I had £2 on them to win so I know exactly how Klopp feels
😭😂
Sorry for your loss. ❤
Next time you're down the shops, ask them if they'll accept an apology instead of two quid.
Better team won
I’m a Tottenham fan and I had £1 on Liverpool to win 2-1 with Son to score anytime, i’m delighted my bet did’nt come in but yet my team won 😅
You’re not a football fan if you can’t see those decisions we’re appalling . Doesn’t matter who the team is .
As a Liverpool fan all I can say is that the best revenge is success. We will prevail.
Good attitude, all this crying is embarrassing. You have a fantastic team. Go on and show people these points didnt matter
It just beggars belief...How much worse can this get? I actually believe that VAR has become so badly managed that teams should be given 'VAR reparation/consolation points'. For example, if you lose by a single goal or draw and the PGMOL come out and admit that you have been denied a clear goal/penalty then you should be awarded a 'VAR consolation point'. For example, Spurs get to keep their 3 points but Liverpool would receive a point as consolation for the terrible officiating. We can tot up at the end of the season how many VAR points each club has received and see in plain sight how bad this is. It's come to the point where apologies don't cut it and teams need to be recompensated with points or at least something tangible.
Exactly what I was thinking...something like 1 special point(SP) for every 3 wrong important referee decisions. Twould give some consolation nd be some interesting innovation to the game.
I have a radical idea. What about if professional referees and VAR officials actually used their brains and made correct decisions
@@samking5101 That's also a highly viable option haha
they should award the goal after admitting the mistake doesnt matter if the game already ended. simple as that
I was actually thinking the same. There has to be something that doesn't punish the team as badly and I think a point is a fair compensation.
Liverpool are a special, special side. I dont see any other team on the planet with the amount of passion and aggression that those players have in fighting for themselves and their team. Unfortunately they overstepped the line with that and ended up putting themselves into a difficult situation of playing with less men however even at 10 they seemed better than a team at home. They’ll go all the way challenging for the title. Spurs will get 4th.
Spurs won’t get 4th. They are overhyped as usual. 7th at best.

Respect to Neville! No bs. Always respected him.
Lmaoooo he talks so much shite on a weekly basis
Spurs fan here, the offside decision was a joke. I cannot believe they ruled the goal away. We have had bad decisions against us in the past, but this is no excuse for VAR. Offside was considered the one thing they couldn't get wrong. Regarding the reds. I think they were deserved. Jones was reckless. .Jota's first yellow was very harsh, but he's an experienced player. He can't go diving in like that on a yellow. It's stupid. I think a draw would've been a fair result. Either way, Liverpool showed they are a serious team and Spurs beat them showing they aren't the same team as last season. Interesting season ahead.
yes but he shouldn't have had the first yellow! 1 and 0 equals 1 last time i checked ??
Very disgusting game , this referee must be held accountable
Thank you Gary! Top guy. Love you as a pundit. This one was tough to take...
They should investigate the referees in the tottenham v. liverpool game for match betting and fixing. This was far too suspicious.

Why didnt they talk about the diaz offside in this??????
For MNF, we need a look at all the other goals ruled out for offside that have been dodgy. Everton v Arsenal and Arsenal v Man Utd. There are probably plenty of others from this season.
RIP Premier League. Will be hard to come back from this.
Simon Hooper needs to be sacked imo, two stonewall incorrect decisions by him in 7 games

@@welldoneboysgoodprocess The most fair decision if PGMOL were actually competent would be to retroactively award the goal, making it a 2-2 result. But they will never do that. Even if you despise Liverpool, the refereeing in this country is a joke. It ruins the league.

Objective Spurs fan: Liverpool have been robbed on the Diaz goal - obviously should have stood. I look at Curtis Jones' challenge as he was out of control, whether he rolled off the ball or not (much like a bad follow through showing studs can result in a red). I can't even tell if Jota touches Udogie on the first yellow, but like GN said I feel he easily could/should have been booked for the challenge prior and overall can't feel sorry for him as he was rash on the 2nd and brought it on himself. To be honest really impressed with how good Liverpool looked, even with 10 I feel like they opened us up more than anyone we've played this season - which is scary to think, I haven't watched any of Liverpool this season, but to be THAT dangerous with 10 I'd guess means they will challenge hard for the title this season.
This is the correct take, good on you
