  • Of course you can't make uv light by water color! Because the wavelengths of the "color purple/blue" and "uv light" are different!

    • Lol a pigment doesn’t mean something works as an ultraviolet light. Just as infraRED light means “before red”, ultraviolet means “beyond violet”. He DID mention that this doesn’t make a UV light though... it IS still just pure bullshit considering a white light filtered through pigments won’t change the frequency of the light itself, just block out some lower frequencies This dude was mistaken, considering that if you get a fluorescent marker and shine any light on it, it’d still glow

  • I bought 10 UV 395 nm LED diodes. In fact you can't create real blacklight using the method like in this video because at max the only thing you would obtain is a purple light of wavelength 420 nm that may seem near to real UV 395 nm but it's nothing compared to it neither lower UV-A wavelengths like 365 nm. The fake UV it's still a cool colour btw.

  • I made one with my Galaxy S5 using clear tape instead LED glow of Scotch tape and it did make germs and lint glow. I also used adjustable torch, a root app.

  • I think it is possible to make a UV , because the smartphone UV can not filter all the other light so I think you need to use more Blue and purple
