  • Excellent work... the car looks brand new again. If I can change just one thing though (and I know it is debated among mechanics), but I would torque suspension components only after the car is back on it's four wheels and rolled back and forth a couple times for everything to settle. I've personally seen instances when there are knocks and creaks after suspension work, due to things being torqued in an unnatural position.

    • it's not up for a debate. The rubber bushings will deform if you tighten the bolts before lowering the car. Also, the oil on the spark plugs does not spark joy 😅. They probably should have at least take the valve cover off and replace the seals. Did they even change the timing kit? I skimmed through the video.

    • I had a 2003 A6 2.7T…. I had it from new, and put about 170,000 miles on it….they certainly were not built for easy servicing…

    • @@arthurm4726 the one in the vid seems to be straight 4 turbo. 2.0 maybe? Either way, there's a few pretty good engines in that gen A6 and few absolute trash units.

  • It's very likely car with some sentimental attachment of owner, maybe his passed father's car. Considering labour and parts costs, it would be much cheaper to buy some in mint condition from German pensioner.
