'Imposters' suffer from chronic self-doubt over riding any feelings of success or external proof of their competence.”
According to our study, our own self-doubt was the leading cause of imposter syndrome. Followed by criticism/feedback, having to ask for help and comparing ourselves unfavourably to others.
People feel like frauds. Live in creeping fear of being found out, exposed or sent packing.
Imposter syndrome can:
1. Have a negative impact on careers & on the fortunes of businesses we work for.
2. It inhibits productivity & seriously limits an individual's career progression.
3. Self-doubt can hold a highly qualified person back from taking the chances that propel them forward.
So what can we do about it?
Body Mind Analyst and Executive Coach Suzanne Masefield shares some tips on how to work on overcoming this debilitating challenge that's more common that we'd like to think.
