  • The reason she has so many rabbits in her music was because of when she was a kid she let her friend take care of her pet bunny. Later on they found her bunny dead decapitated on the friend's backyard

  • This song has many Alice in Wonderland references. Some examples: the drink at the beginning has a little note that reads "drink me", like the one in the room at the bottom of the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. Also, in Alice in Wonderland, there are cards painting all the queens' roses from white to red because they planted the wrong colour of roses. The caterpillar mentioned in the song is the one that tells Alice that one side of the mushroom he's sitting on would make her bigger and the other one smaller.

  • I think with “my friends don’t walk, they run” and with the “getting high of helium” and some other lyrics in this song, she was trying to give an understanding that she was growing up too fast, skipping the chilhood stage of her life by having to mature early through the whole album, and finally getting to the last adult thing, drugs. Also, with “the normals, they make me afraid” I think she’s talking about like all the trauma her mother gave her, and since she was the main person that she had to deal with growing up, that made her think “that’s normal, that’s what normal people do”, making her scared of “normal”

  • Mad Hatter is basically having ental issues. I personally think in this one she has schizophrenia. Because while having schizophrenia or being schizophrenic, you see things that others might not say or you hear things others might not say I am schizophrenic. I see things that are not there like I see my past on cat he visits me normally, but I do believe she schizophrenic in this video.

  • 1. Those plush dudes may represent her fictional friends, the same toys hung over the crybaby's cradle. 2. There are 3 more songs in the crybaby album, they do not belong to the plot of the main album, they are included in the deluxe version and do not have music videos, except for "playdate" this song has a lyric video 3. The k-12 film includes all the songs from the album, including the single "fire drill" in the credits. She later released an afterschool ep which was included in the deluxe version of the album. This EP does not relate to the album and has more personal themes. I would advise you to go through these deluxe versions, they are also very interesting and are not inferior in quality to other songs in the albums.

  • Most of the visuals don’t really point towards her experience so the “parents” are actually dolls that melt to plastic so it might not really represent her and mean towards the character Crybaby so it’s same thing for tag your it and milk and cookies they don’t represent her they represent Crybaby the character and some songs represent what Crybaby gone through not Mel themselves and some songs in all 3 albums and eps dont relate to her includ Orange Juice, I believe she made that song bc her friend had a eating disorder. She also makes song that are relatable for other people but the meaning of mad hatter represents her✨

  • ~ We can all agree that she's amazing! 😍 ~ As for me: I am 41 (at the time of posting this comment), and I've always been very anti-social, but I have many imaginary friends in my imaginary world in my head.. No one ever really understood it, but hey, I got an imagination and I use it. ~ I have fun with my imaginary friends, and people at school always thought I was just a crazy girl 'cause I would talk to my imaginary friends out loud - And when I'm having trouble in life, my imaginary friends are always there for me.. 😊 ~ And I'm also on med for my mental health and to help me sleep at night, so I totally relate to this song in every way. 😂 ~ I also had a gray cat that I loved for years (he was my best friend), so the gray cat toy as a friend of her's is ironic to me. 😹 ~ I've been a fan of Alice In Wonderland since I was a little kid - I would watch Disney's Alice in Wonderland over and over again. 🥰
