  • That's coaching right there. For you to be getting blown out 33-0 at the half, and convince those men that they can still go out and win that game and have them fully buy into it? Great coaching.

    • Arguably it’s his lack of coaching experience that got us into that situation in the 1st place. 2 missed 4th down conversions inside our own 40 in the 1st half. A pick 6, a Dalvin cook fumble. A blocked punt. If you ask me? The colts weren’t beating the Vikings 33-0. The Vikings were beating the Vikings 33-0. Koc has to figure out how to get this team ready for kick off regardless of what time or day of the week kick off might fall on. We got lucky this time, that the colts aren’t the cowboys.

    • @@richardtherichard26 not really dude. A lot of the first half was just a lack of execution and mistakes. Like Reagor making the wrong cut for the pick 6. Miscommunications left and right. Go back and watch the film. Ive already watched the game twice. Yeah coaching wasn't great in first half of course, u can argue he shouldn't have gone for it on 4th down those two times but he was trying to swing momentum. Also it only costed us 3 points. Our guys just were not executing, period. KOC clearly instilled belief in these guys when down 33. Which is amazing. Its unfair to say hes to blame for the first half.. i do agree that KOC called a terrible game against the Lions. But the gameplan against colts wasnt bad. Execution was embarrassing

      @krufty47@krufty47 Жыл бұрын
    • Going for it twice early when the ball is still in your territory was bad coaching. Doing a trick play on first down inside the 5 yard line last weekend was bad coaching. Playing cover 6 with a 3-4 shell 80% of the time when the offense keeps running seam routes and post corner routes is bad coaching. And I’m a die hard Vikings fan. Keep it simple and we won’t be in these situations. Problem solved!

    • Let me preface this by super excited for the Vikings for getting the W. Objectively I can’t see how the Vikings get past the 49ers or the Eagles in the play offs. Both are the NFC and their teams can play in all 3 phases more than the Vikings. The Vikings biggest problem is their defense can’t play a complete game. If this was the Eagles or 49ers I’m not sure the Vikings come back and win.

I seriously want to hear from the people who were all leaving and angry as we got there, they missed history and there were sooooo many of them, frustrated, saying the game was over. I can only imagine how much more frustrating it must be knowing you left early, missing Vikings and NFL history being made, I wish I would have recorded the walk to the stadium at half time, so many angry people leaving.

  • Lol, I got there late. Listening to this game on the radio on the drive out there, my girlfriend and I were debating turning around, but we had the tickets so we were like "whatever, let's try to enjoy it". When we got there, it was half time, and finding parking was easy because so many people were leaving. I'll never forget the guy angerly leaving, walking past us and saying the game was over, and when we said it's not over yet, he got mad and replied as smugly as possible "yes, it is". The minute we got to our seats and sat down, I said, "Okay, we're here now. They can start the comeback." and then it began.... We were so close to turning around on the drive out there, so glad we didn't and got to see this.

  • Kirk has changed. He used to be fickle. But you can’t engineer the greatest comeback in NFL history in one half of football as an average QB. It’s time Kirk gets the respect he deserves. 1) he has a cannon for an arm and he’s accurate. 2) he’s smart and he can read a defense. 3) he isn’t mobile but give him 3 seconds in the pocket and HE WILL carve you to pieces. 4) he leads a LOT of game winning come backs. 5) he is DURABLE. He was sacked 7 times this game, multitudes the last few games and he keeps on getting up and up and up. We may take for granted how seemingly indestructible he really is. And the most important asset he has that he never seems to get enough credit for - 6) HE HAS HEART AND HE JUST WONT QUIT. bottom line - he’s developing into a legendary QB.

    • The comeback was insane, but the fact that they had to come back from being down 33-0 *to the Colts*, of all teams....not a good sign. Indy is the worst offense in the league. Their average PPG is 16 & change. They put up twice their average PPG against the Vikes *in the first half alone*. Play that poorly against any of the other playoff-bound teams and they'll be on their couches for the rest of post. If you watch all of the playoffs teams' games this season, the Vikings are really the only team who don't have a clearly dominant win that instills confidence. I don't know. I am very impressed with the offense, and the fact that the defense stepped up and only allowed 3 points in the second half is also impressive, but the fact that they were ever down by 33 points to the Colts is a point that can't be ignored. I'm not confident in this team in the playoffs, and it has everything to do with the defense (Donatell, specifically). We'll see how it plays out, but they can't just rely on the offense to compensate for abysmal defensive scheming when it comes to the postseason. Hopefully Donatell gets it figured out, because at this point, they'd be better off letting the defense improvise on the field. Very conflicted in my feelings about this team. The offense is FOR REAL, and the defense has the talent, but Donatell's schemes are clearly horrific. Until they give us a dominating, convincing win where all phases are firing on all cylinders, I'm not ready to start getting too optimistic.

    • @@joojoosasa I grew up on hockey. I will not pretend to know all the terms and stats you threw out there. I don't. Were they being swamped the first half? Absolutely. I'm saying not only did they win the devision which took incredible consistent playing every game, but as someone who grew up playing sports year round, mainly hockey, you have bad days and bad games. And I know how easy is to want to give up when you're being pummeled. Whether it due to the vikes playing like crap that first half or the colts on their game, the fact remains, the Vikings never quit. The best teams in the world can have a horrible game and the worst teams in the world can have a good day. The Vikings didn't quit. They made NFL history amd not only that, but won the division which shows they have been playing hard and well all season. Like them or not, and trust me, as a Minnesotan and a sports fan, our teams always let us down when it counts in terms of play offs. The MN Wild hockey team will see play offs every year amd then bomb. Its recognition of the heart the Vikings team has with this new coach to never quit or stop until the clock runs out. The best team on that day wins. Isn't that what sports is? The Vikings have a horrible history. We in MN are excited about this team and energy this year and their drive and will to never quit. That is worth something. One bad half does NOT represent their season. And they still came back from it. Can't deny true ability in skill and heart when it's being shown. Are they perfect? Nope. Showed one sports team who is.

They all deserve it, just on talent and dedication to make the NFL alone. It's a co.petirion at the end of the day that's what sports are. You fall down, get back up and practice more and try harder. Vikings are doing that this year. They don't deserve it more bc they are came back strong this year. But they deserve recognition fir winning their division ams creating an NFL history. Bad first half? Absolutely. No one team has a perfect game every game. They did something historic in the history of NFL and that shouldn't be taken away. As a sports player my whole life. We were always taught game isn't over until its over and if you want it, you fight for it. Win orlose ifyou gave it your all, that's what matters. Vikings Gabe it their all amd didn't back down. They deserve to be appreciated for that on top of thatzit won them the division.
